HomeGoods stores are a bit of a treasure hunt, but that's half the fun! I love browsing the shelves for hidden gems. I always find things I "don't need, but can't live without"!LOL! There aren't a lot of furniture stores in our area. No worries, because believe it or not, we've found some lovely additions for our new home at HomeGoods The price was right and the pieces of furniture selected have been perfect! One thing consistent about the store in Abingdon is the customer service. The associates are always helpful and cheerful. Checkout is easy and even returns are quick (at least w/a receipt). Not that I return things often, but on the two occasions I have it was simple. read more

Whoa whoa whoa!! If you get sidetracked a lot you may want to stay out of this store! This is truly a warning! There are things EVERYWHERE! Every inch of that store is FILLED! They have everything from chocolate candy to furniture. There is something for everyone here. This is that store you think you were going in for a can opener and come out with a chair, Dog bed and some wine glasses as well as the can opener lol. If you can stay on track they do have a clearance section towards the back of the store that has had very decent items! Oh furniture has their own clearance section in that area..just FYI. Truthfully I give this store lots of props. Even though everything is filled to the brim, it seems most areas are well organized. That is truly a great thing to see because when you go to TJmaxx which they are affiliated to, it's not this organized. So way to go team! All in all this location is very lovely. read more

Came to look for accessories for the home. Truth be told, you could spend ALL of your money in this store on items you had no intention of buying. I guess they know this as it is always chock full of unique items. Another thing is that you have to call "deebs" on items to your liking, flag down an associate and have them slap on a sign saying that the item has been held for purchase and have them move it off the floor to the front or risk someone literally coming behind you and trying to snag the item themselves, which can be pretty annoying. Anywhoo, prices vary on the items, which can range from facecloths, curtains and food items to large pictures, mirrors, tables and sofas. I suggest going early in the day during the week as the weekends can be very crowded. The staff are pleasant and the store always has a various assortment of items, so if you see something you like, I would purchase it as it might not be there the next day. Also, if it doesn't work, you can return it for your original form of payment within 30 days. All in all, a great store for unique buys. read more

If you are happy in life and you are stable, do not work here. If you think that a store with bad associates and a vapid environment is a good place for you to work at, try to find another job. They treat the stores minors like they are not new still at working at a job (for some it's their first job). Some of the managers are amazing at their job. But there are a few that do not care about their associates at all. One of them talks down to everybody like they own the whole world. And one of them makes you work too hard and at the end of the day, your feet will blister. The melancholy environment is difficult to handle with every section moving everyday without realization. Putting back items is a burden enough, do not try to change the environment everyday. My final comment is that please and I mean please! Find a job you that you might be better for you because this job is not good for anyone that has a soul. read more

This store has cute stuff. Especially for dogs, but we had bought so many packs of masks from them in which we were told once you cannot return them. 12.99 for each pack comes with 5!!! Well the next day we went to try them on before going out and they couldn't pass the lighter test that so many docs have told us to do before going out into the world. I had wondered why you couldn't return them and didn't seem to question it, but now I know why. They're putting ppls lives at stake!!! I'm not no Karen so I took the loss with money, but I will be damn if I go back in there and see them still selling these masks to ppl!!!! I'm a total ppl person I'm for the ppl, and to have a respectable company sell masks that can endanger lives of others is really petty and hurtful in which why I'm only giving them 2 stars. read more

This is a brand spanking new location that just opened in October. I love HomeGoods a subsidiary of TJ Max and Marshalls. They offer an extremely large eclectic variety of home decor and gift items. Their merchandise runs from close-out specials to really one-of-kind hard to find items. You can lose a whole day exploring for unique treasures. It is a good thing the MD-24 bridge bypass is completed in Abingdon, becaze between Wegman's and now HomeGoods being added the traffic is going to get crrrraaazzzzyyy!!! read more

I am loving the new set up after the pandemic closing. So much more room & space, it makes everything so much more visibly appealing & the store easier to get through. It's now an absolute pleasure to shop there & you don't feel like everything is so crowded & mish moshed like at their sister Marshall's & TJ Maxx stores. Ah home goods, how happy I was when I saw that you were going to open up. I've been here around 5 times since it opened and every time, rain or shine, its been very busy. The place is well organized and full of pretty home items. Its a wonderful location to get some decor or some large pieces of furniture. The cashiers are nice and the parking lot is ample. Oh, words can not express how much I love and adore this store!!!! Everything is just so unique and different and so interesting.... I mean the staff is not the best and they don't really once ask you how you are doing or if you need help when walking around. But I truly do not care!
