This was a tougher review to write, because different aspects of my experience were better than…read moreothers. I decided to break it down into 4 categories: Ordering: 4/5 I went to the store and was in/out within maybe 30 minutes max. I needed to buy one of the whole home packages, and had already found the one I wanted online. I wanted to see the pieces in store before I purchased them. As soon as I came in the store, I was helped. I told the associate which furniture package I was interested in, and she showed me all of the pieces that went with the package. She gave me info on the financing options versus paying in full, she was very thorough, etc. She was friendly and helpful. She even made sure to tell me I need to check each piece upon delivery to ensure all of the necessary tools were included before I sign off on the delivery receipt. Delivery: 3/5 Let me start by saying: the associates who delivered the furniture were courteous and professional. Those poor guys had to move an entire 2 bedroom apartment of furniture up 3 flights of steps! Anyways, my issue with the delivery was that I was given an extra mirror by mistake, instead of the bed rails for my daughter's bed. When I brought this to the attention of the delivery men, they promptly called the store. Rather than having the rails delivered to me, the store manager (at least I'm assuming he was the manager) asked if I could just come pick them up. I obliged, but it was definitely inconvenient. As you can imagine, when you're moving, you're extremely busy. On the plus side, the rails were ready and waiting for me the moment I walked into the store, and the manager was very apologetic. Quality: 3/5 Obviously you can't expect Ethan Allen-level quality from here; however, I will say that the quality is better than I expected. Everything is in good condition, solid, sturdy, etc. Value: 3/5 You get what you pay for. Again, this isn't top of the line furniture, but it's not bad. Especially for someone who's just starting out. But be warned: you have to put EVERYTHING together. Everything. Even the sofa, if you get one. It's definitely hard work, but the instructions are clear and all the tools you need are provided to you. Overall I give Price Busters a 3/5 and I would recommend them to anyone who needs a whole home/apartment full of furniture at a low cost.

Rodger wasn't the first salesperson to approach us as we walked in but he was the only one who asked us what are needs were and walked us through the many sofa options they had. We saw pretty much every sofa on the floor and with his help narrowed it down to three. He checked the stock to see if what we wanted was available. All three were and now decisions had to be made. Rodger spent the next 30 minutes fielding questions from myself and my niece. Once the decision was made and were checking out. Rodger overhears a thruway comment my niece makes to her friend and then spends the next 20 minutes helping her pick out a bed set. We walked away with a sofa and bed both being delivered within the next 4 days. I cannot recommend Rodger enough. He made the entire process smooth and easy.

Perfection, professional, courteous and reasonable are a few words that come to mind in describing…read moremy experience with Classic Furniture Works. Mike McDowell went above and beyond to ensure perfection and that every detail was to my exact liking. There was an immediate rapport as I explained how the one-of-a-kind coffee table I designed more than forty years ago while attending university in Tallahassee and how I found the planks of cherry wood to use in building it at a small sawmill near Whigham (GA). Although I was able to create the legs, I had no idea how to assemble the design. To my surprise, my father showed up one day at my apartment with the completed table. He was just that kind of guy--part of the Greatest Generation, fought in some the worst parts of the Battle of the Bulge, and went on to serve more than fifty years in public education. People and things have come and gone through the years, but the table remained with me as I traveled across the country and around the world. My most recent move to Bel Air (MD) did not break the table, but at long last, there were enough marks and dents that could justify turning it into kindling. Mr. McDowell intently listened as I explained how the table was not perfectly square. My father also added braces that were not part of the original design. Mr. McDowell assured me the table could be preserved and asked to study it before offering to provide an estimate. I soon heard back from Mr. McDowell with a detailed description of what would be required to restore and also achieve the original design. He never rushed nor did he try to speed through the restoration. He took his time to make sure his work reflected the high quality and precision of his craft. I also received periodic updates from him at each step of the process. The finished restoration is now indeed the work of art that my father and I originally envisioned more than four decades ago. I feel very fortunate to have connected with Mr. McDowell to restore this table, which for me holds a sentimental value. I highly recommend Classic Furniture Works to anyone who wants to restore a fixture they feel is precious and irreplaceable.

In the past, I have been burned by other furniture companies with not scheduling my correct delivery date. So a hour would give me a chance to break down my bed because I wanted to make sure a bed and mattress was going to be delivered. Of course, I get a call from the driver telling me they are 10-20 mins away...I'm like what happen to my hour notice. He says I'm sorry miss however due to our schedule we are calling you now. It take 20 seconds to call someone. So I explained the option that was given to me by the store. He asks would you like to reschedule no I want the agreement given to me. No point of going back and forth! I tell him I will reschedule. When I purchased the furniture the sales lady took me to a back office to speak to the representative cashier. She was suppose to update my info. I had all my information updated because they had 3 different profiles for me (not sure how that happen). I even gave the rep my driver license to make sure my information was correct. Your all set ma'am everything is updated. So when I called the store to reschedule and of course my address states I live in an apartment(I live in a house). It was not updated! Ugh! At least this representative was nice and apologize and offered me a discount. No one could give me an answer on why Value City offers a time option for the driver to call but it did not happen. So I cancelled my order. The only reason I gave it three stars is because the sales lady and second rep was nice. Hopefully I will get a better experience when I relocate to North Carolina (fingers crossed).
