7.3.24 (review written) 6.22.24 (visit)…read more A large department store located in White Marsh Mall. The day I shopped there was a promotion to take 20% off the lowest sale ticketed price. I perused the juniors and petites. Juniors had cute apparel whereas petites seemed tailored more to older clientele. I did find a cute pair of floral pants in the petite's section and a polka dot dress and green short-sleeve shirt in juniors. I also checked women's intimate apparel to look at pjs and there was a handful of cute sets that were cheap as they were on sale. I was short on time as the hubs was waiting for me, otherwise, would have tried on a few and purchased. Maybe next time. Definitely a fun place to shop with affordable prices.

We went to Boscovs in the White Marsh Mall last Sunday at 6:40 pm. We started out at JC Penny's…read more and walked all the way there. I am handicapped so we had to dit down every few steps. When we went in, the employee told us she was locking the door at 6 pm. When we tried to leave, two very rude employees told us we can't get out except thru the outside doors. It was very cold and my husband had to walk all the way to Penny's out in the parking lot. I was forced to sit on the outside bench for 30 minutes until my husband brought the car around. We will never go to Boscovs again. We realize they were anxious to go home, but the rudeness was uncalled for.

I have been going to this mall since it opened and our other mall closed down. In the beginning…read morethis mall was the best around with the best stores and variety and food court. It has all outdoor parking and there is lighting and "security crew?" that drive around-more on that later. This mall has been through many changes and has survived the pandemic surprisingly well considering the other places that have closed down. That is a plus for them. However they have not been able to get the stores back to fill the openings and the stores there now aren't all encompassing. They are more like a lot of individual stores (all random -for a particular group). They have the big stores Macys, JCPenney, boscovs and the Sears closed. Other stores are, hemp tattoos, hat shops, shoe stores, eateries (not much keto or vegan but can be found), bath shops, I think the mall is so empty because of this and it was a day trip. They have 2 escalators on each end of the mall and an elevator in the center in front of food court. They could use another with strollers & wheelchairs etc. They are handicap accessible and parking isn't too bad. Depends on how far you can walk. The security is a problem for me. When first opened the security was excellent! Now I don't go there anymore at night because there have been many people carjacked, attacked and robbed, women attacked in front of people and "security?" As for the "security people " I had an issue with a carful of people who hit my truck while I was sitting in a parking space. They tried to drive away and I got my phone out and recorded them leaving and laughing as I got out to check my truck. They saw me and came back yelling "you recording us?" I said yes, you hit my truck and drove away and I was in the truck. I got the plate for police. They came at me as I got in my truck. I saw "security " and waved them over to my dismay they were not helping me but cheering the people on!! I was on phone with local police at that point and I told them I didn't feel safe and that the "security " weren't there to help. They told me they know, it's a problem and they (police) don't usually respond to calls from people for assistance bc of the security people ". I got his name and the rest and went on to the police station by my house. They listened. My biggest concern here is everyone safety. 1/5 for safety The deals are great at the big stores like Macy, Boscovs and JCPenney. I did score big deals in boscovs. From clothing, house wares, holiday gifts and decorations, jewelry, and other unique coastal items. Overall I recommend the mall but beware this time of year when it gets dark early! I think if you go during the day you will be fine and check out the deals in boscovs and Macys. I didn't notice alot of holiday decorations up in the mall but they were pretty decorative in the stores. Cleanliness 3/5 Parking 4/5 -handicap accessible Restrooms-2/5 hit or miss whether you can find a clean one. Variety of stores 3/5 Happy shopping

Unresolved Vendor Dispute: Misrepresentation, Omission of Material Facts, and Severe Financial Harm…read moreAs a returning vendor, this entire experience has been genuinely horrible. We recently signed a 3-day lease to host a Bluey photo booth popup for families and patrons visiting the mall. We took on this lease during a period of immense financial struggle--a fact that management, specifically Ingryd Lynch, was fully aware of. We truly trusted management and thought she and the mall had our best interests at heart as struggling small business owners. Despite knowing our vulnerable position, Lynch explicitly boasted and assured us that we would be profitable if we booked our dates to align with their promoted kids' events. We explicitly relied on these promises, and the specific days we picked for our lease were centered solely around these scheduled kids' events to justify the premium $250 fee. Unfortunately, we were set up to fail from the start. Lynch explicitly told us not to put a set arrival time on our paperwork because she claimed she did not know what time the kids' event would take place. Ironically, as a mall manager, she somehow failed to disclose that the event actually started first thing when the mall opened and only lasted for a single hour. Because she knows our equipment takes a minimum of two hours to set up, it was physically impossible for us to be ready for the crowd. By the time our setup was complete, the event was already over. When we finally got set up, Lynch casually informed us that she "just learned" these kids' events had been completely discontinued. What makes this so unacceptable is that our entire booking was centered solely on these dates because of those events, yet we were told we could not change our dates even though the foundation of our booking was gone. What was truly insulting was her explicitly stating to us, "I didn't think you would show up." It became immediately clear she expected us to simply give up and forfeit our investment. Between the withheld start time, the impossible setup window, and the fact that we were placed in an absolute dead zone of the mall where no one walks--a stark contrast to our previous successful popups in the high-traffic food court--she knew this popup would be a complete loss. To add insult to injury, the basic infrastructure provided to vendors is abysmal. The mall's WiFi, which we entirely rely on to run our photo booth and process payments, is practically non-existent. Every other small business we spoke to in the mall said the exact same thing about how terrible the connection is. Furthermore, management intentionally withheld critical information regarding the severe decline of the property. The mall has gone downhill drastically due to ongoing issues with robberies and violence, leading management to implement a strict youth curfew. We were never informed of this policy prior to signing the lease. Selling a lease for a children's entertainment popup while actively restricting our primary demographic from the premises is highly deceptive. The environment has become so notoriously unsafe that several of our own close relatives and loyal supporters specifically informed us they did not feel comfortable or safe bringing their children to the property. Ultimately, we saw a total of seven children all day and did not receive a single purchase. Now, with two days remaining on our lease, management is making it administratively impossible for us to even return to the floor. We spent over $600 securing a commercial insurance policy. Despite our provider (The Hartford) confirming that our Certificate of Insurance explicitly meets every stated contractual requirement in the lease, management (Barb) continues to arbitrarily reject our documentation to keep us from operating. It is devastating to realize that the mall could not care less about the massive financial losses we now have to bear because of their false information. I am a full-time student at CCBC striving to make a better life for my family, and we were promised that we would make money if we invested in this popup. Instead, this experience has plunged our family into severe financial hardship. Because of this total loss, my wife is about to lose her car, and we cannot make our rent or pay our mounting debts. Because management has failed to provide the bargained-for commercial environment, actively blocked our operation, and caused us immense personal distress, we are publicly requesting a full refund of our lease fee, an amicable cancellation of the remaining two days, and compensation for our extensive financial losses (including the wasted vendor fees, over $600 in insurance premiums, wages paid to staff to help transport equipment, and the cost of our popup supplies). If White Marsh Mall management truly cares about the small businesses they claim to support, they will make this right and resolve this matter professionally.
