Update- my sectional finally arrived after 14weeks!!! NO apology from management. No call or email to see if everything arrived ok. And the 6 throw pillows were mismatched and not what I ordered. I am so beyond angry And DONE! It's not even worth the aggravation of getting the right pillows. I'll spend more money and buy more ! My wife and I purchased a couch and chair from the Churchville store. They were floor samples and we got an incredible price. When they delivered the furniture the couch had a grease stain on the lower front. My wife called the store to let them know that it was not there when we purchased the couch. The sales representative told her to use cleaner and try and get it out and that we purchased a floor sample and got a good deal. I was able to get the stain out without leaving a ring. Then, my wife moves the chair from the area rug to the location she wants in the front room. When she goes to adjust the location she notices a huge scratch on the hardwood floor under the chair. I turn the chair over and find the plastic leg glides to be gone on two legs and nails sticking out. I visit the store and explain the problem to the assistant manager, Jason Middlesworth. He informs me that we purchased a floor sample and should have noticed that before we made the purchase. In other words, we should have lifted up the chair and couch and looked at each leg. I could not believe his attitude. I called the guy an idiot and he ask me to leave the store which I did. I now have to have the floor repaired. I will never purchase another piece of furniture from this company. read more

We had a horrible time with our experience at Wolf. My spouse and I both have bought furniture there over the years but the customer service we received was appalling this last time. We moved into a new home recently and made sure that we ordered the dining table we wanted several months before our move in date so that we would have it as soon as we moved in. We got a call the night before the day it was due to be delivered in which it stated the delivery was canceled and to call customer service Monday though Friday. This was late on Friday night. Over the next 3 weeks we came to find out the table had been sitting in the delivery hub missing some hardware. No one from the store including our sales person ever reached out to assist us. I probably spent over 2-3 hours of my own time during the following weeks trying to find out why this wasn't being taken care of. It was only after we drove to store and confronted the manager that we finally got it delivered a week after. Supposedly we were "lucky" someone from corporate was in the store that date and actually tried to get the issue taken care of. A lot of the anger we felt would have been helped if anyone in this process actually acted like they cared about our delivery. Needless to say we will no longer be purchasing furniture there. Commissioned sales people need to work for their money and make sure their sales are fully completed and the customer is satisfied! We can at least now 3 weeks later no longer have to eat on the floor. read more

Please know they DO have a good selection of furniture. As newlyweds looking to furnish our new home with "grownup" couches, we stopped here because they had a sale advertised as 50% off. We were assigned a sales person, as furniture stores normally do, who periodically checked in on us and gave us suggestions. My husband and I prefer to look around ourselves so after letting her know several times that we would find her if we had questions, she finally backed off and gave us some space. We soon learned that the 50% sale wasn't at all a true sale. It was kind of like shopping at Kohl's, where they show you a price that the furniture COULD be sold at somewhere else, and took 50% off that price - not their own prices. So happens that if I go online and look up the same furniture, they are at the same exact prices as when we bought them and thats without the so called sale. If I had known that then, I would have walked out based on principal. But, their sales tactic worked and we were in the door. It took us some time to settle on a set we could agree on as my husband is quite tall and wanted something that could accommodate his height. The set comes in different fabrics and colors - "Available in over 1,500 fabric choices and over 300 leathers" as stated online, but in the store, our sales person made a face and said "Oh, it costs extra to order it in one of the other colors and it will take 10 weeks to fulfill the order." To me, that was a load of BS - since we were looking at one of the other colors the couch actually came in, we were not requesting anything special to be done. But since we had been to several stores and it took a long time for my husband to find something he was happy with, I agreed to buy the couch in the ugly fabric and color it was displayed in, along with a "seat and a half". The "seat and a half" just looks like a love seat with one cushion instead of two. Every time I called it "the small couch" or "the love seat", the sales woman would interrupt and say, "NO, it's a seat and a half". For the money the customer is paying, I think I'd let them call it whenever they like. The transfer of money was fine. Since we live on APG, we let them know which gate to use and the sales woman wrote that information down on the invoice. They accommodated by giving us a call one half hour before delivery. The first couch arrived about a week later or so, no problems at all. We were told we would hear back from them about the delivery of the "seat and a half." We made the purchase on 2/7 and actually got our second piece delivered on 3/9 - over one month later. We had to call weekly to find out what was going on with our second piece and no one seemed to know. Finally, they scheduled for a delivery on 3/4, which was cancelled due to 2-3 inches of snow and rescheduled for 3/9. I don't mind cancelling because of weather; I wouldn't want the men moving the couch to slip and fall or hurt themselves, but knowing that we have already waited close to a month at that point, you would think they would reschedule it for a closer date. The day comes for the second piece to be delivered and we get a call telling us they were 45 min to one hour away but there was a problem: one of the guys on the delivery truck would not be allowed in APG due to security reasons and the guy calling said my husband had to help him move the couch from the truck, into the house. Seriously? It's been written on the invoice that the delivery was at APG - why would they have someone who is physically unable to enter the grounds be on that delivery run? They have known for over a month by that point. They also didn't follow the instructions given to use the proper gate for visitors. Anyway, my husband helps them move the couch. A little while later, we get a courtesy call from the store asking how things went. My husband, who does have a back problem and is way more patient than I am, let them know very nicely that he had to move the couch because of the conflict with one of their employees. It didn't seem like it was such a big deal to them. I don't think I would go back, even for the matching ottoman to go with our set. read more

The salespeople are extremely unmotivated to make a sale. I never expected some crazy deal, but a little negotiation, especially this time of year, should be par for the course. I've been there 3 times in a week, dealt with 3 different salespeople, and all of them had the same awful attitude. "This is the price, take it or leave it." I give the web site and especially the e-mail replies the worst review that I'm allowed. In plain word it sucks. Yesterday I was on line looking for furniture that I wanted to buy. I sent e-mails asking for shelf height measurements on a few different items I wanted thinking that it would save me a trip to the store and also to see if they had anything different that I could order online. Well today I checked my e-mail and not one reply. What a same because I buy all my furniture from Gardiners but maybe I'll start shopping somewhere else! read more

I would give the sales staff and buying experience a four or five star rating but pray to god that you never have an issue with the furniture you purchased. Their customer service is a joke. I tried calling their customer service on 3/1/19 and was forced to leave a message or the call would disconnect. On 3/16/19 I sent an email through their website outlining my issue that I am currently experiencing with the furniture that I purchased less than a year ago. As of today, 3/20/19, I have not received a call or email response. We love the furniture that we purchased but just wish the company would put as much effort into caring for the customer after the sale as they do when trying to make the sale. read more

We found the salespeople in the showroom to be extremely helpful, as were the delivery men. They gave us the best prices and helped us find furniture to fit our apartment. Gardiners Furniture was recommended to us and our experience was so good we returned to buy more furniture. We shopped around before going there and had bad experiences with two name brand furniture stores. Gardiners was a real treat with good salespeople and good delivery. Excellent service! Great Furniture and great sales. Daniel was very attentive and has a great eye for decorating. He showed me pieces that actually complimented each other. Our experience today at Gardiner was wonderful. Our sales person, Cindy was beyond knowledgeable and truly helpful. We just moved into our new home and we are in need of a ton of furniture. We will NEVER EVER buy from this company again. We purchased a couch, love seat, oversized chair and 2 ottomans. The love seat had a broken leg and the structure was broken and the one ottoman was lumpy. We had a service person come out and look at the furniture and he agreed with everything we had called about. He said we would get a call back and we never did. We called the service department several times and no one has ever returned our calls. When we call Gardiner Wolfe they told us we have to deal with the service company. We have now had the furniture for almost a year and the pillows are lumpy and the cushions look horrible. The quality of this furniture is awful !!!!!!!!!!!!! As a follow up to my review back on 11/21... I still have not received my furniture. My 3 year old daughter is still sleeping on the floor. Gardiner Wolf has yet to pick up the damaged headboard and bed rails from my house, which have been taking up my garage since Mid November. I emailed my sales rep for an update on Monday and received an email back this morning letting me know that my furniture was experienced to arrive this Saturday, and that I could 'pick it up' from them when it did, and haul the damaged headboard and bed rails back myself. We were promised that delivery, set up and removal of damaged items would be provided to us at no charge, due the inconvenience. The terrible customer service continues. read more

Horrible service. I ordered 10 pieces of furniture with my interior designer. We worked with Laurie at Churchville store. She sold me chairs and fabric that were no longer in stock. I had to make 3 trips to correct mistakes. The day of delivery console table did not match the height of sofa. Even after we asked if all the furniture would work well together. Steve the manager refused to return my money for the table and charged me a stocking fee!!!!! He would only give me store credit minus the charge for the stocking fee. He was not interested in having a happy customer. He was rude and abrasive. read more

We bought an ottoman for our granddaughter. They charged us $25.00 to bring it from their warehouse in Baltimore to their store in Bel Air. We protested but to no avail. Their staff/mgmt leaves much to be desired. They do have a good selection of furniture but customer service and satisfaction is very important to us. There are too many other options to put up with this. We will go elsewhere in the future. read more
