Plus it s a Costco so we are hard wired to go in after stopping for gas. Brentwood is a seasonal destination for us. We typically go a few times a year during berry picking season and this particular warehouse has gas and is located on our exit route so its a easy no brainer for us. It has a vast parking lot and a gasoline station that is far enough away to de-conflict traffic. Aside from that it is a typical warehouse with the usual clockwise progression through the various sections. It also is a lot larger that our local one. The bathrooms are spotless (a necessary stop after picking berries and cherries in the heat) and disappointingly no Brentwood corn :( No local items per see but they did have a particular cheddar cheese that ours stopped carrying so it was well worth the stop We always add our Costco RULES to each review Aside from that as always we have rules we follow The RULES! 1) NEVER EVER go in hungry. That 25 gallons of dill pickle chips is much easier to resist on a full stomach.... true story there. 2) Avoid the free samples. People seem to lose their minds with this stuff. They abandon carts with crying babies, block isles, etc all to get that tiny portion of hummus. I have been shoved aside by someone desperate to get a free piece of cheese. Honestly I have seen more dignity from actual starving people in a disaster zone but I digress. 3) Avoid the weekends like the plague. 4) See #1 5) Go often. Costco uses alot of psychology and the fear of missing out is one of them. Odd items you must have pop up then go never to return. I CAN'T MISS OUT AGGGGGGG 6) Know your codes: At costco any price ending in 0.97 means it has been marked down. Any price that is not a 0.99 or .97 such as say 0.49 means it has a manufacturers discount. and price with an * aka "The Death Star" on it means its done and will not be reordered so stock up. If it ends in a .00 or a 0.88 a manager has reduced the price at that location to clear it out. 7) When in an unfamiliar city head to the Costco. They always stock local items you can't find at yours (like two pounds of single origin Kona coffee for 30.00 at the Kilaua / Kona store etc.) and have cheap gas. (Same on Kauai)

One of the items I was buying was a set of kitchen napkins. There were only 4 napkins, even though these sets normally come with 8. There was no price tag on them, so I politely asked the cashier, Linda, if she could compare them to similar items sold in the store. Linda told me the price would be $15. I asked why, since most similar napkin sets there are usually priced around $12-15 for a full set. She replied that this brand costs twice as much. I then asked what brand it was, and she could not answer me. Instead, she simply said, "Are you taking them or not?" After that, a manager came over and adjusted the price to $7.50. I still bought them, although I was disappointed they were incomplete and only had 4 napkins instead of 8. When I got home, I realized these were clearly returned items. The tags and brand labels had been cut off, which means they had likely already been used, washed, and returned by someone else. So Linda completely misled me about there being some "expensive brand," when in reality there was no visible brand at all. The entire interaction left a very bad feeling. Every time I use the things I bought that day, I will remember this unpleasant shopping experience. I honestly do not think I will return to this HomeGoods again because I do not want to deal with this kind of treatment or dishonesty from an employee. I understand mistakes happen, but being dismissive and misleading toward customers is extremely unprofessional and unfair. I left the store genuinely upset.

Anyways, I asked her if I could get the darker color for the same price as the lighter one which was $29.99 and Rose looked at the item number and called a manager, Tamara came over and she didnt even bother to check on the tablet for the current price of the item. She just said no. Then I pulled up the item on hobby lobby website and there it is, $29.99 half off is $14 so I went back to Rose and showed her. She called Tamara over again and explained to her. Then Tamara came over and told me she would do it for me this time because online prices are cheaper since it costs shipping and handling? I guess? But regardless it's 50% off right now and the online price matched the store price. It just seemed like Tamara didnt want to deal with me from the beginning. I appreciate Rose for helping me out because this item was the reason why I came in. I've been waiting for it to be on sale.

Michelle was extremely kind and helpful, especially with the Anime section that my son loves. She told me of all the great deals they had for it and others. When my arms were full with Anime apparel, she kindly held it for me and took it up front so I can shop for more. She also made sure when I closed out that I was a member, to get more great deals. When we called the store, they blamed the delivery company, even though the bag was clearly taped shut before it was sent out. We were told we have to bring it back ourselves, despite living over an hour away and choosing delivery for that reason. No refund, no replacement, and no accountability.
