I asked about a couple of specific shoes I was interested in, and they didn't have any in stock or even alternative color options. The staff didn't seem very engaged or knowledgeable about the products. Customer service felt lacking, and overall it didn't seem like there was much effort to help. This experience reminded me why I usually go elsewhere--other stores tend to be more knowledgeable and attentive. I'd recommend saving your time and checking out Road Runner Sports in Walnut Creek or Campbell (if you are ever in the area) who have better product knowledge and customer service.

The sales associate had to search through a large number of shoes behind the register just to find the match. When I tried to provide feedback about how the process could be improved, the manager, Kyle, was dismissive and not receptive. His response was that the process came from corporate and was better than the previous process. While that may be true, there is still clearly room for improvement. Management should be more open to customer feedback, especially when it is intended to improve the customer experience.

In the past, I found the shopping center to be pretty dull compared to some of the other malls and shopping areas I've visited around the Bay Area. However, since it was purchased by a new owner, I've noticed some improvements and renovations that have given the area a much-needed refresh. New additions like Handel's, Vine + Grain, and the upcoming Slice House are making the center feel more lively and promising. I think Streets of Brentwood has a lot of potential and will continue to improve over the next five years. One of my favorite features is the outdoor patio area. It's a nice place to take a stroll, spend time with family, and even bring your dog. Overall, Streets of Brentwood seems to be heading in a positive direction, and I'm looking forward to seeing how much it continues to grow and improve.
