This was the first and last time I will be walking into any Tilly's location. The customer service is genuinely ridiculous. How do you tell customers to not touch items especially ones that are openly available and even below chest height. If you don't want customers to touch something, put it in the back to enclose them. Worker tried to say that everything is organized so we aren't allowed to touch anything. Well if it's really organized it should be easy to put the item back.... Especially since there's no one else there and it should only take you seconds since you have NOTHING else to do. If this store represents anything about the company, mission, owner, franchise, whatever... They're all a disgrace. read more

I was looking for shoes and they had boxes of shoes on the sales floor. So, I grabbed the box of shoe that was my size. The employee let me know I can't grab boxes that were on the floor. No where did I see a sign that said I couldn't grab a box that was on the floor. After leaving she didn't even come back to help. Next, there was an employee following my boyfriend around the store as he was shopping. The employee was folding clothes that were already folded? Mmkay, way to be discreet. I went to Zumiez across the way and had a much better experience. The employees were friendly and attentive. Go to Zumiez! At first I thought this place was full of friendly managers and associates. But after what I experienced today, they were so rude. It was a busy day in the store and I see the managers and associates gathered talking and gossiping on their shift while the employee's were rushing and running around the store doing all the work. I remembered while I was looking around the managers were yelling at the employees and being completely unprofessional. It was really uncomfortable to be honest and I was disappointed that the fact they were supposed to be role models and welcoming for new incoming employees, but they weren't. I had a complex return I needed done. 2 items I ordered online, one with gift card, one with debit. After the sun valley location couldn't help me (their manager wasn't on duty at the time) the "streets" store brought 3 people together to team up and resolve this return which seemed to be exceptionally complicated by the sound of it. I think some technical issues on the computer but they jumped through hoops to get my return processed and even tendered the whole thing back to my debit card once finished. Awesome experience and cool people. Tilly's also usually has stuff in stock when other stores of that style don't. They have some original graphic t shirt designs as well. We waltzed into Tilly's to see if they had a couple of things and didn't even make it through a full sweep of the store. The music was so loud, after 30 seconds all I wanted to do was leave. I did notice that it wasn't as bad towards the front of the store. They have some pretty cool stuff, trendy hats, cute tops, dresses, tons of jeans, accessories and walls full of shoes. However, they'll have to bring it down about 50 decibels for me to spend any real time in there. read more

Came here a few days ago with my 12yo daughter who had purchased some sandals at their Sun Valley store that turned out to be too small. We were helped, at first by Danika, who is not at all friendly ( and the reason I will NOT give 5 stars), no smile, no "Hi", "Hey" or anything that resembles a greeting. We told her the shoes were to small and she proceeded to give us a refund. I knew ny daughter really wanted these shoes but in a size that fit so I asked Miss Happiness if there was another size that fit... Now, you would think in these tough times that they would want to KEEP your $$ and not give it away which surprised me that she did not even bother with asking....she was much happier getting the transaction done and getting us out so that she could procede with sweeping (oh, yea! That's really important!) She finaly got around to asking someone in the back who was WAY more than helpful. She brought a size close but too big and then told us about ordering it and having it sent to our home wuth FREE, yes..that's right, free shipping. I wouldn't go so far as to say that I am a huge fan of much of what they carry. The quality leaves something to be desired. However, they do offer a few items that keep me returning. For me: Swimsuits- GUESS, O'NEILL, and HURLEY Shoes- UGG boots and NIKE For the kids: Tops and tees- FULL TILT, O'NEILL, QUICK SILVER, and BILLABONG Shoes- UGG boots, CONVERSE, and NIKE Customer service is okay. This was one of the most horrible shopping experiences of my life. The one person working (Steven) was all alone, working the register, helping me try on shoes and helping every other customer in the store while the "managers" were having a meeting. Kudos to Steven for doing such a diligent job all by himself. Completely disgusted. I come in here because they carry brands I like and purchase for my family, or I would NEVER come here again. If you're going to have an all store meeting...staff your store so he's not all alone trying to do everything at once (even though he did a fabulous job - that is sooooo unprofessional). Every other time I've been in this store, the staff is completely- rude- and unprofessional, I don't know how you even have business. I feel torn about how to review this store since I have had both good and bad experiances here in terms of customer services (which is what I am really reviewing since whether or not I like the style of the clothes is kind of irrelevant) Once I wanted to get a top in a size that they only had on the maniquin, and did they strip the mani so that they could have my buisness-NO. This irratated me to no end and I put back my armload of clothes and left. However, I came back with my son at back to school shopping time and I had a few hundred dollars worth of stuff when I realized that One thing that I didn't have was my debit card. I was way flustered that I wold have to put it all back and do the whole thing again later when they offered to take a check-Yeah! I don't love shopping with my kids (at all) and the fact that they helped me not have to do it twice made my day. I know most clothing store do not take checks and the fact that they had an option for people dumb enough to forget their plastic and paper money like me was a big plus. read more

Employees need training on customer service. There's a couple staff (mainly the females) that are friendly and proactive in asking for help, but most act like you're invisible, try to avoid interaction so you don't ask them for help, or they're annoyed that you interrupted them. read more

Tilly's is one of my favorite stores in terms of fashion, but there's definitely a few problems... Customer service at the store seems to be okay, not great or good, but just okay. I find most of the people working on the floor tend to be generally helpful, but a lot of the cashiers aren't as friendly. That's not to say they're mean, but they seem to be more interested in talking to other cashiers then saying a friendly greeting. The clothing at Tilly's itself is my problem, though. I love their clothes, they are adorable. But I find the clothing tears and rips easily, and after a couple months of wearing need to be replaced. The clothing isn't nearly as bad as their jewelry, though. I disgusted at how terribly made it is. It's cute, but they break in the blink of an eye. I broke a necklace once just bending down to the floor! It isn't just the Tilly's in Brentwood that is like this though, as I went to the Tilly's in Phoenix and it was the same thing. I still recommend Tilly's, as long as you don't mind being a bit more careful when you wear their clothing. But whatever you do, don't get the jewelry! It's not worth eight bucks for a cute necklace that breaks on your first outing! read more

RUDEST employment I have ever experienced in my life. I walked into the store finding no employee greeting me hello. First of all the music in the store is WAY TOO LOUD; This is a store not a dance club. And this Tilly's is IMPOSSIBLE to walk around without hitting any clothes racks; It seems they are trying to jam pack the store with racks and mannequins. It is quite messy this way. I went to try on some clothes in the fitting room and a girl named Kaitlyn who opened the door for me didn't even talk to me nor barely make any eye contact, then when I get out of the room I see her on the side talking on her cell phone. When one of the managers (I remember her name was Dayna from her name tag) ringed me up, all she was doing was talking to another employee, and the only thing she said to me was to sign up and enter to try to win in some contest. I will never step foot inside this store again. This Tilly's LACKS DECENT CUSTOMER SERVICE. I suggest you shop at the Concord or Walnut Creek location. So one just going to help all you understand what really happening when working in this store. 1. why we don't want you to go threw the shoe boxes. Well every Monday and Friday morning we make sure all of our inventory is up and displayed so when the customer comes in they can see all what we have other then looking at the show boxes thinking you know what your looking at. You don't but that's ok. Also shoes are in three different spots due to how much inventory and space they have. So employees are not trying to be rude when asking if you need a shoe cause most likely you had no idea that the shoe you where looking for is in a whole different area then your super eyes can see. 2. If you have a pick up order you will receive an email letting you know your order has been processed and is ready for pick up! You have to give them time to process it! One because it takes and hour to get to our systems. Two your not the only person putting an order in. So don't come in acting like people should just jump up because Sally decided to place an order today. Hate to break it to you since covid there are many orders. Give them a minute! Also if you have someone else picking up your order there is a section to put that because company policy not the employees policy the company is we have to match the ID to the order. So sorry they want to make sure your order isn't going to someone else. 3. Don't take your angry out on the employee when they are just following company policy guess what they don't own the company so they are not the ones that made it. If you hate the policy call cooperate so they could possible change it so we can avoid your day getting messed up and you messing up the employees day! Food for thought! 4. If the door doesn't open on the first pull guess what its not open! 5.Not everyone is a teenager so can you please stop acting like they are. They have homes and bills just like you. 6. Strollers we get it your jeep of a stroller can not fit! But guess what you want product right? You want things to put the product on right? Well guess what the floor is to code so no one cares you can't fit your double wide stroller. 7. Stop saying some employees jobs are not hard I'm sorry are you working here? Do you know there position and the task they must get down for there higher up bosses or not? You don't! So if it is so rude for someone to say it to you it is just as rude when you say it to the employees.8. We don't make the prices. Its called the buyers for the company does. 9. Don't be rude when you see someone working on something on the floor and say "oh gives you something to do" do you even know how long it takes to get a store to the standard cooperate wants? When I was ready to purchase items I walk up to the register and asked the blonde girl if she can ring me up. She says that the other girl will help me and she looks back down. I'm the only customer.
