Bootbarn in Brentwood consistently disappoints. They typically only have one size in any of the boots on display and don't have backups in stock. On several occasions when we have looked at a boot, the boots on display are scratched or dinged, and they do not have the same size pair in a new form in the back. We have been told on more than one occasion that we could rub out the scratches with leather conditioner. What the heck? You think your customer should pay full price for boots that are already damaged and have to go home and buff them out? That's ridiculous. Ten thumbs down for this store. Don't waste your money go to a better store for western wear. read more

My first visit here was okay, with a few concerns. I wasn't at all too familiar with this store as I've never been to a western retail store. The western/cowboy hats seem to hold a good collection from inexpensive to the nicer options. Customer service. In that area from Omar was exceptional, I commend him for his patience and information he's provided to me. From the looks of it, he observed and already knew that was not familiar with the styles and was happy to inform me. Also boots selection was okay. I found a few pairs I really liked, I had no idea they sell off the floor. That was one of the gripes I had because I anticipated I would be provided a brand new pair from the back instead of the pair that's been tried on by other customers. I tried not to mind it, however when I asked about it, the employee was very snarky about it. She gave me the look of "they're all brand new", she should have mentioned that "they sell from the floor." mind you I didn't even get a box with my pair, the manufacture's box I was expecting. They intended to give me a plastic bag. I've seen reviews on the internet where the boots I purchased come with a cardboard insert and paper balled up at the toe box with a box to hold everything together. Any how, I'm just picky but I know some people might like something brand new too, obviously.. I've also noticed they gossip on the sales floor. Hilarious, in front of customers. Any how, I'll try again next time.. Lol it's a hit or miss, who knows if they'll be impatient, rude, snarky, etc. especially if you're familiar with the retail industry, you'd expect for them to put up a front to assist you. read more

I usually go to the Boot Barn in Livermore off of 1st Street however today I was visiting friends in Brentwood so I thought I would pop into the lone tree location in Antioch. When I first walked in there was a guy to the right of me that was working with hats that was very rude never even acknowledged me walking in wasn't busy was looking right at me and when I asked him a question about where something was he was just very dry with his response to me, that was just rude and then I went to go find the boot section and I was asking another person over there I think she was the manager on duty a question about Boots and she was just very rude!! You could tell I was bothering her.. Alll together the experience in this location was terrible and I will not be back. read more

Ok so just need to say that I absolutely love Boot Barn! They have a HUGE inventory that meets every style. Their clothing items are unmatched because there is zero comparison to the cr*p you see at the low-end clothing department stores in the area. Sure, Boot Barn is pricey but these are 'designer' made items, made from quality materials. You get what you pay for! And Boot Barn clothes are meant to last in your closet. Staple items that don't go 'out of style.' Their website has more sizing and style options but it's so nice and convenient to do exchanges/returns at a brick-and-mortar location. I had to do a return here the other day. They do seem understaffed but the young lady working there was attentive, friendly, and helpful. I been to this store several times. Today I brought my wife in for the first time to buy her first pair of boots. She was very excited. I'd say within a few minutes we were asked by Amber if we needed any help which we did. She was helpful in locating a size for us and asked us if we needed anything else. We told her we were good. I figured since we were already here I'd look at boots for myself. I was asked by Leo if I needed help but I told him I was ok. We then started to talk about the different types of leathers that boots are made. He was very knowledgeable in the stores boots and I was impressed. I can tell he enjoyed his job. The checkout experience was a pleasant one like always, I didn't catch the cashiers name but she was extremely helpful. Also I noticed that they have staff that speak a second language which I felt was a plus. Overall a very positive experience, store is nice and organized very easy to find things. Today won't be the last time I go back, can't wait till my son is old enough to walk so I can buy him his first pair of boots. read more

Great boot selection. Customer service is slightly lacking though. I found my very first pair of boots. I was so excited. So I asked an employee for some help finding an 8 1/2. He came back with an 8 and a 9, saying there were no half sizes. Another employee then Suggested that I go a half size up to a 9. The difference in size was too great for me to go for the size 9 shoes. So I started wondering the isles, looking for something else. When low and behold, I find a size 8 1/2 in the style I was asking for. But I could only find one shoe. I go back to the 'sales' staff and ask them to find the other boot. This time I was not going to take no for an answer. I'm not upset that I had to find my own shoes. Or shoe. I'm more bothered by the sheer lack of interest to help me find my first pair of boots. This doesn't even effect my decision to come back here. I absolutely will. Just to explore the inventory. But I won't ask for help from the employees. I know better now. read more

The worst customer service I've ever experienced. I worked retail for 7+ years. Called someone the day previous to see if I could exchange boots that didn't fit. I drove over 300 miles because I was headed home and it was the closest one on the way. Got there they said they couldn't help me. Went to go look for boots for my fiance and my wedding and three of the staff walked by and not one asked for help. The store manager ended up to be nice at the end but the girl working stared at us the entire time and never asked for help. I ride and own boots and have been line dancing for years and because I wore sweats and tennis shoes that day and my fiance a different attire. It was a shame. read more

Last week I purchased a western shirt, amazing print for my husband for 15.00.... I returned tonight with husband in tow to buy him some quality shoes. Price was a little high only based off what I usually spend but the quality justifies the cost. Service was pleasant both times so we definitely will shop here more. I believe they were a little short handed but even with that I didn't really notice or felt neglected. Considering we slid in at closing there seemed no pressure to push us out the door. So I called last night to see if they had a pair of boots in stock. I had the style number, price, and size I wanted. After being put on hold for a couple of minutes she came back and said YES she has what I want! I asked her to put them on hold until tomorrow, and she told me she could only hold them for that night. I asked he what time the opened I would be there first thing in the morning. So I took the morning off work so that I could drive all the way to Brentwood, half hour each way. I asked the girl up front if they still had the boots I put on hold from the night before....no. I asked her to check in back...no. I looked on the floor...NO! The sales clerk said she was sorry and went back to work. Out of frustration I called the Fairfield boot barn to see if they had them. Forced to pay before they would ship them to the store so i just Ordered my boots online and had them shipped to my house. Got my boots and they sent me a size 10 and a size 14 in the same box... Went to the store to return and get the right ones sent to me and somehow overnight they just no longer stock the size i want. Terrible customer service. Though not a reflection of the staff working the store, just the business itself. Now i have to wait a week to get my money back when i needed these boots for this coming weekend. So after reading thru the reviews before me there's only a handful I'm entertained. Complaining about prices, store policies, or crappy service, as some have, well that's certainly not my experience! I found a few cute items for my upcoming events and the staff was super helpful. I came in for some ideas for summer concert season. I was in the store for about 40 mins browsing the store. It wasn't busy but they certainly had it well staffed with 4 employees on the floor. They were all friendly greeting my on my way in, asking if I needed any help or if they could point me in the right direction in finding something. I really hadn't been in the store before so I just wanted to see what they offered. I was impressed. Were things expensive? Well yes some items were expensive but this isn't Target people you're going there for brand name Western Wear and quality items. I'll totally shop there again. I asked a question at the counter, & was rudely chastised by Desiree that "this gentleman is in line in front of you." I replied that I was asking a question & it was not my intent to be in line.
