We were shopping for a jacket for my younger brother. When we asked about Pro Club, we were told he only had Pro 5. He brought out a jacket that was still in the bag, and when my brother asked to see it before buying (which is normal when shopping), the jacket was taken out without any issue being mentioned. Once my brother decided not to purchase it and we politely let the owner know, his demeanor noticeably changed. He became frustrated and said that customers are "picky" and that once an item is taken out of the bag it's harder for him to sell. He then told us not to come in unless we already know what we want to buy. This felt unfair and uncomfortable, especially since none of these expectations were explained beforehand. If items aren't meant to be opened, that should be clearly communicated or display items should be available. As we were leaving, he made a comment under his breath, which added to the uncomfortable feeling. Overall, the experience made us feel unwelcome simply for browsing. Customer service should not make customers feel bad for wanting to see an item before purchasing. Unfortunately, this experience missed the mark.

However, since it was purchased by a new owner, I've noticed some improvements and renovations that have given the area a much-needed refresh. New additions like Handel's, Vine + Grain, and the upcoming Slice House are making the center feel more lively and promising. I think Streets of Brentwood has a lot of potential and will continue to improve over the next five years. One of my favorite features is the outdoor patio area. It's a nice place to take a stroll, spend time with family, and even bring your dog.
