Today's Express outing began with my search for a cute top to wear to an upcoming "dress casual" event. My search ended with the purchase of 4 cute "dress casual" tops... AND... a pair of shorts... AND... a necklace to go with said cute "dress casual" top and shorts... PLUS... a few extras... including an insanely adorable royal blue (makes my blue eyes pop) ruffled-front belted dress (which I so happen to already have THE perfect pair of heels to go with it). Many refer to this as "disposable clothing" ... BUT... Express has great deals on trendy outfits... AND... I always receive compliments when I wear anything from Express! Seriously. I seem to be in the minority, but I love this place! Express is THE place I go for work/play clothes. Looking for a cardigan? Check. Simple, multi-functional button-down shirts? Check. Inexpensive work suits? Check. Skirts that fall at a "decent" length? Check. Must-have summer dresses? Check. Without fail, whenever I come in... I find a ton of s**t that I have to buy. Even better, the prices at Express are extremely manageable. If you like to follow trends, but don't want to empty out your bank accts doing so, Express is the way to go. I'm going back tomorrow. There's another top that I HAVE to have. Ever experience buyers remorse? Yeah... well I'm experiencing whatever the opposite of buyers remorse is... unbuyers remorse? Yep. That's exactly what it is. I walked in to look around for a bit. No one said hello or even made eye contact. I literally thought, "I feel like a ghost." Eventually, one employee saved the day and asked if I needed assistance. I asked another employee for a dressing room and there was no verbal response - she just walked off to unlock a door. Ladies working there...you seemed so unhappy! And do you know it's actually quite rude to not acknowledge people verbally when they talk to you? I wouldn't be surprised if they have internal drama going on with each other because their energy as a team was "off". This was very obviously a store culture of negativity. Even the cashier rang me up and seemed sullen and annoyed. Lol! What is going on in this store? I haven't gone to an Express in over a year and after this, never going back. read more

I love express clothing line and I go to this store a lot but the customer service there is really bad. They will never welcome you or greet you and no offer for help. I feel like I owe them something because I'm shopping there, that's the impression I get from the ladies there. There's one lady there with the curly hair,she must be the manager but i never see her smile she also has that not welcoming frown in her face. Whenever I need a new fancy shirt, I always stop here....fancy shirt central. And whenever I come through the doors, I bounce back and forth to every cute piece and think to myself, "If I could buy the whole store, I would!" My gig and a night on the town brought the both of us here. I needed a white shirt while he needed a new shirt to go with his tweed pants. About half an hour and 100 bucks later, we found our shirts. Simple as that. Let it be known that when I shop for something specific, I wanna be in and outta there like a simple and painless routine hospital procedure. This occasion was just that. Express has so many selections of blouses and pretty dresses that you're pretty much guaranteed to find that pair of work pants or a dress blouse that you need. read more

My favorite clothing store , they have the best Jeans and Shirts I absolutely buy my clothes here. Staff is always friendly very helpful, stores are very clean and up to date. Clothing is very well maid , it is little bit pricey but lot's of times they have great sales going on and they would send you coupons home if you register with them. read more

The only con to this express is the fact that I feel like I see the same stuff in there allll the time. I wish that they would get more of an inventory selection, but maybe that's just a key I should stop shopping so much. Anyway. I love the service. Almost everytime I come in there I see the same few girls who always know my name, it's so nice! The mannequins are always dressed nice and clean, displaying various ways to wear key pieces, which I appreciate. It is always very clean, very organized, and their sales and deals are clearly displayed as opposed to many other Express locations i've been to! read more

Was in there today looking for a suit for my son. Ladies didn't greet, approach, or even bother trying to help me find his size. After struggling to get things down and put back up I gave up and left. Too much work for me to figure out if they had things available or can order his size. Suits aren't cheap there so I if they aren't worried and willing to help out, I'll go somewhere else where they want my business. They seemed more concerned with organizing the store. read more

I was in a pinch today, I had spilled coffee on my shirt on my way to an interview (go figure) so my instincts sent me straight over to Express. I already love this store and always get great service when I'm there, but today Sarah was a huge help! She approached me right when I walked in and asked if she could help me find anything, I told her about what was going on and she quickly turned into personal shopper mode! She asked me what type of interview it was and how I was supposed to dress and started grabbing a bunch of cute tops, we found the perfect one and she let me back into the fitting room to change before I left, now that was service! Excellent service and good quality selection. This was my first time making a purchase at an Express store. My prior experience was at the Sun Valley location, but I found the music too loud and the store too crammed. I get anxiety easily in crammed loud places, so I never shopped there. Went into the Brentwood store because of the sale they had - $50 off $100, $75 off $150. The sales folks were excellent - just friendly enough when you walk in for you to feel comfortable enough to ask them for help, but in no way shape or form pushy. I made a few selections and my total got to $99.60 - 40 cents away from getting the $50 deal, but the cashier printed out a receipt for me and explained to me how I could get another shirt and $50 off, or get an even cheaper deal for buying $150 worth of clothing (3 shirts v. 6, for basically $25 more...) long story short, she went out of her way to write out every type of scenario ("okay, say you buy shirt A, B, and C, but leave out D..."), which was very much appreciated. For a first time shopping experience, I think this store steals the show. Could be a Brentwood thing, though, too!! read more

Went into the store and looked around - then I needed help putting some things together. Saw Savannah (sp) and asked if she could help me pick out some items. I told her it was for a graduation I was attending; said what I liked; how I normally dressed. She pulled out several items that would match with the pants I had picked - took her no time at all AND she was very patient and nice. It was nice to have some help and have someone not act as if they were being bothered!!! Thank you Savannah and Express for all of your help. May be back before I leave. read more

This is one of my favorite stores. The quality of clothes is great. They are a little pricey if you don't catch a sale or coupon but if you want good quality you have to pay for it. The staff there is always friendly and attentive. They have a good selection on hand and if not they always offer to order it online for you. I will continue to shop here and recommend it to all family and friends read more
