Bought a pair of "Brand New" Aqua 8 Air Jordans for $250. Got home and realized somebody had already worn and broken them in. Tried to return but they wouldn't let me. No exchange either. He basically looked me in my eye and told me I was lying. The staff members seemed really high and unaware of what they had in stock. I don't recommend going here. read more

Some nice stuff i haven't anywhere else. VII boutique has a bright fun atmosphere and you can tell they have made a real effort to be a valued member of the community. Why buy stuff made over seas when u can get something made and sold local? I also enjoy the random events, whether it be a rap battle, a pop up or even an art show. Much like music, I feel this shop is a display of culture rather than just a product. I shop here because it represents me and where I came from. Not just the flavor of the week or what's hot now. I was very disappointed with the "boutique." Decided to head to the shop after seeing all their post about being the best in the 925. It took me about an hour to get there expecting it to be as great as they advertised. As I arrived, I was greeted right away but the store seemed awkward. No music or any background noise. The employee had no type of knowledge on any of the brands. Would have been cool to have learned more about these local and independent companies. For the most part, almost all those brands were knock offs of other well known companies. These local brands that they carry are mediocre type brands that take other companies designs, replace the logo with theirs and sell it as theirs. Very bad look for the store. You can always tell the difference between local companies that are original and local companies that steal from other brands. Unfortunately this shop carries those knock off type. I was surprised to see Benny Gold in there being next to those type of companies. Got a few sale shirts they had in this old looking chest. $10 a shirt seemed like a cool deal but didn't noticed some dirt spots or maybe even ink spots on some tees. Washed it once and logo pretty much washed off. If I had bought these shirts for $30 a piece, I would have been super upset. They did however have an ok selection of Jordan's. They have a reselling type program very similar to how Mainland used to do it with their rare shoes that people brought in. Store was clean, only thing I have to say about the decor is that the graffiti is kinda tacky. Def not a high end type of boutique. Hope these guys take in this review as a constructive criticize. Not trying to throw dirt on these guys. I respect that they're trying to do their thing but they need to do A LOT more studying on the brands they take in as well as the streetwear culture itself and know what's been done and what's been copied so that they can deny those type of companies. Streetwear is a culture and lifestyle. If you want to come in into this culture and start claiming you're the best in your area, do your homework. TRUE East hands down is where you wanna go if you're in the east bay, it's located in Walnut Creek. Just a heads up to all my fellow fashion heads.
