I always feel welcome when shopping here, from the moment I'm greeted at the door until I've finalized my purchases. They have a great selection of merchandise and amazing prices! The lines can get a bit long at certain times and the bathrooms could use a bit of update. but the staff is always friendly and helpful. The only downside lately is that they don't open the dressing rooms during week days because of theft and not enough staff.. That is a real problem when needing to try on clothes. read more

12/11/25 I was shopping with my disabled elderly mother when a miserable, no customer service having bad attitude worker pushes a metal rack into my mother's back without an excuse me,my bad or a general apology. I saw what happened when she hit my mother and I brought it to her attention she rudely looks at us and continues to maneuver the rack down the aisle. We had a cart full of clothes and other items and we left it right there in the middle of the aisle and went to find a supervisor or manager who also didnt care. I have gotten plenty of clothes there that I did like, but it does not justify how messy the entire store is. First off, half of the store is CLOSED OFF. Were they trying to downsize it or something? It feels like a store holding a liquidation sale most of the time. Not to mention that the fitting rooms there were ALSO closed off, meaning that I could not be able to try on clothes before I decide to buy them. Second, the entire store is a MESS. Everything is THROWN around and it's an inconvenience for everyone. Thirdly, they tend to move things around the entire store. Who's idea was it to place the shoe section in the MIDDLE of the store? Pick a section and stick with it! And fourth, you have to wait to get in. And I get it, shoplifting is at an all time high, but is making your customers wait to get in a good idea? The only reason I even come to Burlington is because my Mom likes to go there, as she has better luck finding things she likes. But if it were up to me, I'd pick someplace else. In addition, the floor was covered in merchandise and the employees just watched as people blatantly shoved items down their pants yelling obscenities. I like shopping at Burlington but today I didn't have a great experience I was getting checked out and while I was putting my things on the counter I told the the cashier Dominique that I had my own bags I had my bags all the way in the bottom in my cart I had a full cart by the way and she rudely told me to start putting my things in the bag . I wish i could rate in negative number to this place. Me and my mom visited Burlington store in pittsburg for the very first time. We were waiting for the billing. It was all done except 2 items which were not getting scanned due to some system glitch. We were asked to wait, which we did patiently. During that time my mom had sudden urge to use the restroom as she has urinary incontinence and was not able to control. On that i asked the employee at the counter (Don't wanna mention the name) about the restroom availability. She asked the male employee if they have restroom and to which he replied "NO, WE DON'T". They still kept on working with the computer to make sure the transaction go through. After couple of minutes we were sent to counter no. 3 as the whole transaction got cancelled due to their own system glitch. The scanning had to take place all over again for all our 29 items. During that my mother who is 49 years old peed her pants a little. I asked the cashier if they can allow the restroom and the reason why the restroom is not allowed to public. On that she calmly asked me to wait and she called somebody for the answer. It was the same person who earlier said they don't have restroom . When i asked for the reason why the restrooms are not available for public, he mentioned "ACCORDING TO OUR COMPANY POLICY". I asked what do they do when the employees need to use the restrooms? He answered "OF COURSE THEY ARE OPEN FOR US". After that i tried locating so called COMPANY POLICY which I couldn't find anywhere. I wouldn't have any issue if we didn't had to wait for their own glitch, the only reason i felt bad was we shopped there for more than $350, we waited due to their system glitch and still they can't let the customer use the restroom when they could've simple asked with respect the extent of urgency at that point. My worst experience and definitely ruined my whole day. I tried reaching customer care but due to off hours couldn't get a hold of anyone. Will keep trying to get the exact answer and justification for what happened. read more

I don't frequent the store much and I remember why. Bad customer service. A few employees walked by me plenty of times to engage in eye contact or ask me if I needed help with something. Not one of them made eye contact or asked if I needed help. Which I did need help. I eventually found what I was looking for. While paying for my items the male cashier did not greet me, did not tell me my total, did not give me a parting comment. He was more engaged with a female employee that had a cast on and talking all about her antique Buddha. The only thing he did for me was ring up my order and hand me my receipt. Wow! I came here for the cribs on sale for $50. I'm standing there 9 months pregnant while they let a lady buy all seven cribs. She selfishly denied us just one crib. The workers stood by useless. This is 2022, a year where people are struggling. This sale is a savior to a lot of struggling moms. Purchased basketball shorts for my daughter yesterday. Today she tried them on to make sure they fit. She comes out her room saying "mom you need to check pockets ". She found a used Crack pipe in her pocket,which she touched at first not knowing what it was. Went to the store and spoke with a manager she proceeds to ask me why I didn't check the pockets. I explained how I have shopped there for years and would never expect to find a Crack pipe on my clothes. She rolled her eyes as if I was making a big deal out of nothing and how dare I not take responsibility for not checking the pockets. I will definitely be checking now. I told her do not put this on me. Items sent to the store and returns should be checked before going on the floor. It is the responsibility of the company to ensure the safety of their products. She said to call back the next day, which I will do but not before contacting corporate. Somewhere either in transit or at the store items are not being checked. What if the pipe was broken or I had put it in the wash with other clothes. Whatever was in or on that pipe would be on our clothes. My intention was to make the store aware so maybe procedures would be changed. Now I am just irritated that a manager was unwilling to take responsibility. Doubt that I will go back to this store. I used to shop here frequently for work clothes. I returned today to get a new shirt and pants for a speech this week. Their men's selection is less than a quarter of what it used to be, everything is in the wrong spot, they don't have any undershirts that aren't small or medium, and the only dress shirts they have are packaged with a big sign telling customers not to try them on. On top of this I'm still waiting in a huge line and listening to employees curse up a storm. I don't mind profanity, but show some professionalism while at work. Good selection of men's clothing every time I visit.

Despite all the poor reviews that we found for this store, we decided to check it out for ourselves. Maybe we happened to come by on a good day or maybe it's just us, but we actually had excellent service here! My husband found a good selection of jeans and shoes and he's fairly difficult to shop for. Granted, we didn't shop the entire store nor did we cruise around the other departments, but he specifically checked the floor of the men's fitting room that he was in & found it to be clean & free of "miscellaneous debris". There was only a very, very limited selection of men's jackets though. Both the fitting room attendant & the cashier were friendly and the checkout process was fast. We went in on a Monday afternoon (Martin Luther King, Jr. Day) and left pleasantly surprised by our experience. read more

It always looks like a toddler has been going down every aisle, throwing items on the ground and making sure to get them dirty on the way down. There are NEVER enough cashiers, and none of them are very friendly. On July 11, 2013 I went into the Burlington Coat Factory to return a few items. Sean seems to have fooled the higher ups at Burlington for him to be front end manager. I will never shop at this Burlington again until he is gone! No customer service at all and very rude, no eye contact and he behaves in a way that makes you as a customer not want to shop there. No greeting, no hello, no thank you. Treated me like I was a thief and had the gall to tell me that, after I was returning a few items, that he had to make sure I didn't wear them before and are returning them now! HUH?!!!!! I waited in a line of 2 people, for a total of 15 minutes before being helped, when he and another young lady were the only ones at the counter. This was on a Friday, 3 o'clock in the afternoon, with hardly anyone in the store. After dealing with him that tacked on a few more long minutes of him "examining" my items as if I were at the doctor's office and he was looking at my X-ray! He further humiliated me by holding the pants up, turning the front to back, running his hands up and down the pants, while the a couple of customers looked on. I got so disgusted and embarrassed by his actions that I told him that if I have to return the items to another store, then he and Burlington would hear from me. I have to go out of my way to return/purchase merchandise because of this guy, when I live within 10 minutes? NO I should not! Well here it is and I have not stopped here. There is a letter on its way to the corporate office, to this location and to and to the BBB. I am huge on customer service and I still work in the customer service field. I have said this before, it takes alot for me to get "worked up" to sit and write letters, or reviews on a company, but I am hard working person, like alot of folks and when a person like this is in the "customer service business" then the company he works for need to know that they have a person in a management position, that is and has effected the customers who shop there! Ive already contacted customer service and the corporate offices in regards to the service at this Burlington... FIRST... your store is at the end of a deserted mall.. Im sure any revenue you can get you should take.. no complaints. How is it that you call yourself a COAT FACTORY, when you only have a small section of the store designated for coats? In November. I went in to get my 7 year old daughter a coat, there was only a small section for kids coats. I was unaware that the store sells all kinds of stuff, even bedding. I guess I was just under the impression that a coat factory would mainly focus on coats, and not everything else. If they focused more on coats there might have been a better selection in every size.
