Definitely not the friendliest Locations that I visited throughout the years let alone work for them back in the 90s. During my shopping experience here specifically was not acknowledged at all through my visit through the store and then when I was ready to check out, I was advised that I have to go either to HomeGoods or to the back exit so I chose to go through HomeGoods and before I approach the register there was another Associate that I confirmed that it was OK for me to check out here and she said yes, as I got to the register in Associate with the initial starting with "M "asked me if this was a purchase and I said yes The lady right here so that I could check out here and then she proceeded to say well this is for returns and exchanges. Only checkouts are at the other entrance. I further stated well if that's why I need to go let me know. I'm just trying to purchase my merchandise, then she tells me no it's OK. I can check you out here. Customer service definitely is not the way that it used to be what I could recall. Honestly no words can describe the unprofessionalism and disregard for basic respect I've experienced trying to shop for men's suit. I came in at opening time, hoping to just find the things I need. Their fitting room are all closed, except for one. I was trying out everything I picked out when all of a sudden I hear this lady shouting, "You can't be in there" and continously rushing me to exit even though I was changing. I did what I was told and she insulted me as soon as I exited the fitting room. They were asking how many items I took in too. Then proceed to count every item in front of me. I just said, "I'll do buisness elsewhere" and left. This was by far the worst retail experience I've ever had. Man do I love this store. It's been my go to store but yes, it has gone down hill after the pandemic and I'm afraid the end might be near for this promising stand alone store. First, I don't agree with there being only once entrance, yet I understand retail theft is thru the roof. Second thing about this location, the parked cars on the closed entrance side makes things sketchy. It seems like a cruising site. Overall, the store still sells quality products, the service is okay but not as great as it once was, and the parking lot can feel unsafe at times as there are people just sitting in their cars. Love shopping at JC Penny's they have the best sales! Love the jewelry department except the customer service needs improvement. But it's not there fault. It seems like they're short handed all the time. I love that I can use extra points to get more discounts on the things that I buy. it's looking like JC Penney needs to re-stock on some areas like home good such as pots and pans, bedding, and kids clothes. Oh they've also cut their hours from 11am to 7pm to COVID19. They require you to wear a mask at all times and stay 6-feet apart! Happy Shopping! read more

It was my first time coming to a salon to get my hair done professionally in general, and I was a bit nervous initially, wondering how my hair would've turned out. I did ask for a double process color tone service with my hair stylized a bit, in hopes of wanting to become a whole new person visually. Lichelle (I hope I've spelled her name correctly) was very sweet and fun to chat with and she did an amazing and phenomenal job with treating my hair. I really loved the end result and the bangs of my hair made me look entirely different, which was something I've wanted to go for anyway! I'm overall happy with the service, the friendly atmosphere, and end result. The pricing also works well on my end, very affordable in my humble opinion. I've even showed off the new look to my boss since I actually work in Portraits studio. 10/10 would definitely come back for sure! read more

This us a beautiful store with lots of parking. Employees are very nice and helpful. I don't quite think that it is as big as the one at Sun Valley mall but that's okay. It serves it's purpose. Nice woman in housewares helped me find Fiestaware and a nice man helped me locate a set of dishes in Concord which he had placed on hold for me. I went shopping with my mom and sister at this location. We weren't even in the store for 5 minutes before I noticed this man staring at us from a distance. He wasn't sure if I noticed him at first but when he realized I was on to him he tried to play it off. I told my mom and sister that man is watching us. My mom was in disbelief and said "he's not worried about us". I spot them every time because they give themselves up by staring too hard. The way he was staring was actually creepy because being a woman and a strange man keeps looking at you makes you uncomfortable. This man was LP loss prevention for JCP. He was wearing a black shirt with blue jeans. Everywhere we went in the store he appeared at the same spot. Lingering around trying to make us believe he was minding his own business but he was in fact watching us. I wouldn't take my eyes off of him because he needed to know I'm watching him too. To make a long story short, this man wasted his time following us around the store because his conscience failed him into believing we were common thieves. This is what typically happens when you stereotype people. He might need some more training before they release him on the floor alone again. Even when we went to the register he waited by the door like a little doorman. When we left the store, being the coward he was, he set some kind of alarm off from the outside that said something like leave the property police are on the way. It was heard over the speaker. We ignored it because we knew that was little man's last desperate attempt to try to intimidate us. It didn't work! Be careful when you go shopping at this location!! Employees so unprofessional. Went for an engagement ring, had to come back to change size. It took way longer than what they had told us. Employees and managers do not greet. No manners. Came back now to get groom's ring, staff was completely ignoring my Deaf fiancé, no eye contact, nothing! We picked a ring, employee ordered the size, but messed up on the thickness of the ring, even though we asked that we check the order before paying the price. Employee spent 30 min to figure out what went wrong, on the phone with manager without telling us what was happening. Finally, they tell us they refunded us, without even asking, explaining that the order wasn't correct. We had no receipt for the refund, and even manager (with unprofessional apparel/shoes) wasn't able to help. Not a good-bye, not an eye contact, NOTHING, they walked away. I used the JCPenny app to check the price of an item prior to purchasing but when I went to purchase, the price at the register was higher. I showed the cashier the price on the app and she said that was the online price but I pointed out that it clearly stated that was the price for their store. I asked her to check with a manager because in the past they had accepted the price since you can order it online and pick up in store. The manager did not honor the price. I know the cashier was just doing her job but the manager ( young man) did not do the right thing by not honoring the price from the app that they want their customers to use to check prices in their store. read more

I remember when I first went to this JC Penney, it was so hard to find from Lone Tree Way. The deal is that you can't see it from Lone Tree, that it's actually BEHIND Slatten Ranch where PetSmart and Old Navy is. To get there, turn on Empire Ave and the building is there to your left. With that said, I drive by this store every time I go the gym. And you what? I'm in big trouble because what people don't know is that THERE IS A SEPHORA IN THIS JC PENNEY! How awesome is that?!? My complaint is not with this store, but with mail ordering and I am so angry that I wanted to get it out. I ordered a wrong item. My fault because I did not read the fine print about the item. I ordered it on March 12. The item has not shipped; moreover, when it does finally ship, the "estimated" ship date is March 20. I called customer service and was told that I cannot cancel the order because they can only cancel an order within 30 minutes of ordering, so... I have to wait at least 7 more days for it to ship and then I have to send it back. FIX YOUR SYSTEM JCPENNEYs. I will NOT be ordering again. To start I am a fan of J.C. Penney's, have been for a while. I always seem to find a deal hear and they always offer more coupons. I do feel that their clothes are a nice quality for the price. Lately though I have been feeling disappointed with this penney's, the store is disheveled and messy. Multiple tables are just piles of clothes. I wonder what the store manager thinks about this. It makes me feel that they don't take pride in their store. Having tables that are messy makes it uncomfortable to shop. This ultimately will not stop me from shopping their I am just hoping for a little organization improvement to make my experience more enjoyable. read more

Customer service is almost non-existent. Please don't ever ask for a manager. They appear to be non-existent, as well. The telephone system is pitiful. I have REPEATEDLY called multiple departments within a single hour, hoping to speak with a human, and all I received was a message that "this person" was unavailable. Professional? NOT!! I called the corporate customer service department and I could not effectively communicate with the agents. I speak perfect English and have a great vocabulary. Somehow, I was transferred to Synchrony Bank (JCP card issuer) customer service regarding an in-store issue. I really like the items that I have purchased at JC Penney, especially the children's clothing, the Liz Claiborne line and items from the home department. However, I will no longer continue to shop there. I am a very senior customer, and I cannot afford to waste any of the precious time that I have left on this earth dealing with substandard customer service when there are so many other places to shop. I returned something at Sephora and the middle eastern lady was a bitch to begin with....she said I could not return it because I had no receipt for it. I am a long-time customer of JC penny. I went to try some outfits out for the holidays at this location(Slatten ranch). While trying them out in the fitting room, an employee, a supervisor named Lori" I encountered, was not only rude but yelled at another customer. This employee had the odyssey to being rude, yelling, and accusing the other customer of stealing when she said you're rude. While asking for help, she told me to bring all my stuff out of the fitting room when done; (the store was not closing or full of customers, )which was rude and unprofessional. Lori" said the same to another customer who got upset and left. Of course, I complained about her to the store mgr. She should not be in customer service. I came at 9:30 thought they were open but still close went back at 11 am visited Sephora and encountered a racism behavior towards me.. the lady is either white or Mexican. I used their store pickup to get what I ordered online, some of the items needed to come from other stores. The order was placed on Aug.31 and it was ready to pickup on Sept.2. I went over today to pick it up and just followed instructions and was out of there in 5 minutes. Fast, friendly and good prices. This review is for the Sephora inside of this JCPenney location. I don't know what happened but this place went downhill. When Nikki used to work here, she was amazing and very helpful. There was also another lady who was really nice but I forgot her name. Today when I walked in I did not see any Familiar faces. Actually I didn't get any eye contact or a greeting when I first walked in. No one even bothered to come talk to me. I needed help on making a selection but the girls were busy at the counter. After I was done deciding on what to get, I stood in line and I waited. Somehow another line was formed in front of the other register. I just thought maybe one line and whoever finishes first calls the next customer but whatever. Anyways, the woman in front of me happened to have a lot of other items such as clothes and asked to be rang up altogether with her make up. And that took about 10 minutes. Then she asked for two samples of perfumes, which took another 10 mins. THEN after she got hers, her friends came up and wanted samples as well!!!!! The other cashier was finished and took the next customer in that new line. Then another lady after that. Then another lady, who got her make up done (the whole time I was standing in line) was next, BUT the nice cashier, named Shanthi (spelling?) noticed I was getting a little annoyed or seen me standing there for like 30 minutes, asked if she could take care of me since I've been waiting. And the ladies in front of me who were STILL getting their samples.... If it wasn't for Shanthi who offered to help me first, I think I would of went crazy. Like seriously. I have to work in an hour and with that bullshit, I thought I wasn't going to make it. I would give this place 0 stars but since I can't, this star is for Shanthi. Thank you. It's hit or miss on inventory. Lately though, it has been tough to find anything worth buying. Today I bought an outfit for a friend's daughter, the sign above them said buy one get one 50% off. They both rang up at full price but I didn't notice until I left. $52 is a bit much for a pair of shorts and a t-shirt. When I went back to return them, the line took 45 minutes to get through and I saw many people leave because they refused to wait in line for that long. I was at a community cleanup event today and it was amazing to see one of the store managers, J and his employees volunteer their time to pick up garbage and just making a difference in the Antioch community. Instead of letting me show her in the store that something is clearly advertised on sale she'd rather look at her computer screen. After paying she walks away, no thank you no have a nice day nothing. Pulled at least 10 boxes of shoes that were empty. Boxes of shoes and packing material scattered all over the floor in the shoe department. The women's clothing was mixed in together, clothes and hangers scattered on the floor. Went shopping with my daughter and grandson today. Went to pick up some Tshirts ended up getting much more. I could not find a shopping bag or cart so I asked cashier she said they have carts in the back they could bring one out. I was in a bit of a hurry so said it was ok. I decided to use my recycle bag in my purse to hold ornaments and small items. As I was in Christmas area about 11:45 am today putting time hoping managers will review store cameras so they can see how their management treats customers. Lady was staring with a rude look on her radio then I realized she must think I'm stealing. I walked up to her and said there isn't anything around so using my bag. Still acting extremely rude so now I'm upset. I get people steal but obviously I'm not I'm walking up to her! She could have asked me if I wanted a cart instead of acting ghetto. It gets better Supervisor Tammy was equally rude. We walked to front and Tammy confirmed with Amy cashier that I had asked for cart. I asked Tammy why wasn't there 1 cart in the store available for customers. She just walked away and that was it. I seriously was in disbelief. I didn't have time for this non sense so I got my daughter and grandson, we paid and I told Amy it was not her fault she did nothing wrong it was her management. I know employees are scarce at this time but it is about rude management that needs correcting. Please review your cameras and see how your management is treating paying customers. I wish I could give 0 stars if possible, I had bought a ring for my significant for our 1 year anniversary about 4 months ago and I had been told it would come in within a couple of weeks. Well 4 months later I go in personally asking where it was and they said they wouldn't be able to tell me because their system is having malfunctions, but they would give me a call when it comes up. An hour later they call me saying it just came in a new shipment and ready for pick up, when I go in to pick the item up the receipt says it had gotten there 2 months ago.
