So hit or miss. Some things are pretty cool and very affordable. There's a lot of cheap plastic or poorly constructed items but there are also some great treasures to be found. Do NOT buy puzzles from this place. I bought one and it was missing 2 pieces and had 3 duplicate pieces in it. Staff was friendly and helpful. read more

I was in a few weeks ago and saw these really adorable solar lanterns. Should have bought them all but only got two. Decided I really needed a couple more but they were sold. I was able to call and have them take my name and number in case more came in. They did!!... I was so shocked. You don't see companies take the time to actually call someone about a restocked item. I walked in to Five Below and looked around, saying "what is even happening here?"-but in a good way. Five Below is a mish-mash of things you don't need, or maybe you do? Don't come here with a list but do come to see if there are any bargains. Everything is literally $5 and under. It runs the gamut from beauty products (name brands included!) to fitness equipment (yoga mats, hand weight,) to electronic accessories and food items. It's sort of a higher end dollar store but with more "wants" versus "needs." I ended up buying a pack of moisturizing foot pads and a kettle bell. The second that you step into this store, your wallet better be prepared for it to be drained Haha, I'm kidding. Actually, I do like how they have lots of different things for $5 or less! I most frequently visit the candy section as they have all kinds of candies that I never see in other places. I also like how they arrange everything to tailor to different seasons. However, I would not recommend buying electronics from here. I once bought a battery pack from Five Below and it did not last long; it lasted maybe 2 hours for me. Same with a charger I also bought. The staff is rather friendly so I will give it that. But yeah, check this place out if you're in the area. You may never know what you might find there. read more

I was looking for party decorations here because someone had recommended it. I did not find any type of party decorations. Some shelves were bare and almost empty. They do have plenty of sugar snacks and little Knick knack items. I expected a lot more items to be here such as cheap DIY decorations, party items, plates, gifts bags: there were none of that. The products and affordability is great. Though I've been to many five below's and this is by far the worst one I've seen. So messy, no greeting, staff was rude, and when doing self check out the woman helping there was just screaming at me on how to scan my items when I didn't ask for her help. Just order online. The best inexpensive socks, bar none! What a discovery I had with Five Below with their awesome socks. Now, I can eventually transition to their socks and mismatched pairs are now a thing of the past. Did I mention they have a healthy spread of Squish Mallows? It a very brilliant move on Five Below's part, as Squish Mallows are somewhat the rage today. They even have dates for new drops so the anticipation even makes it better for them. OH EM GEEEEEEE!!! How did I not know about this place!!?? It's like an upgraded version of the dollar store with most items hovering around $5 give or take. The layout is clean, modern and colorful. The stuff is super cool for the price. My inner hoarder just found a little slice of heaven. PERFECT place to buy cool little gifts OR take your kiddo for an exciting reward for good behavior. This is a new store and so far everything seems to be pretty good. Employees are running around assisting customers with baskets and organizing shelves. I have seen stuff literally fly off the shelves in minutes, and employees seem to be around restocking. This place can be a hit or miss. I have been to a few five belows in the bay and this one has the best customer service yet. The workers were super nice and the store was super clean. I needed assistance with a shirt i wanted to get and Ally'ana was super supportive, helping me with my size and even showing me deals on some really cute plushies that i bought. I have been to a couple 5belows in the Bay Area, and I want to say this is the best location as far as cleanliness, professional and friendly employees, and stocked items.
