On top of that, he even threw in a rug, which was such a generous surprise. When we realized the couch might not fit in our vehicle, the owner immediately offered to help us strap it to the top of our van if we had straps. That level of customer service is rare these days. Truly an awesome guy who clearly cares about his customers. Great prices, great people, and an overall stress-free experience. I will definitely be coming back. The items I chose were for food items, no tax. Because there was a price discrepancy due to taxable items being returned the transaction could not be completed. I offered to leave the CREDIT difference with the store. NADA. I then suggested that that the clerk refund the returned items and ring up the new items. The difference was ony $.67, in my favor. I was I informed that Dollar Tree does not issue refunds. Nowhere in the store is this policy posted. I then offered to buy another item and pay the difference between the two totals. I WAS FINALLY ALLOWED TO CHARGE THE NEW DIFFERENCE WHICH COINCIDENTALLY WAS EXACTLY THE SAME AMOUNT OF THE CREDIT WHICH COULD NOT BE REFUNDED. Needless to say, meanwhile, the number of customers in line doubled. I paid the balance due with a Visa card.
