I like this store because it's always so organized yet, I avoid going evening hours as there's this cashier by the name of Connie who has no sense of customer service nor kindness. I'm not a heavy Dollar Tree or other dollar store shopper, but if I happen to be going into nearby stores I'll occasionally pop in to this Dollar Tree to buy the odd item. What I appreciate is that it is always in good order and things are easy to find. Today I went in to find battery operated candles for a display and had plenty to choose from for $1.25 for a single flickering taper or a set of 3 tea lights. As I was shopping I could hear the cashier interacting with all of the customers with great enthusiasm, having something positive to remark about each person. I watched as one by one, people would leave with a huge smile on their face. When it was my turn to check out I got a look at his name tag and said "What's up, Tony?" which lit him up like a Christmas tree! He talked about how much he loved working there and I was so impressed with his positivity that he generously gave away to all that visited this store. The manager is extremely rude and has been multiple times I've been in there. I assumed that customer service would be important to you, but I'm guess its not. I very rarely write a bad review, but I've been in this store multiple times and every single time, the manager has attitude and is just plain rude! the poor people at the register get no help, I asked for them to get him help the other day. There were 10 people in line and six people putting candy up on the Shelf, laughing and talking. It took the manager took at least 5 minutes as she sauntered to the office to get to the register and then was extremely rude to me because I had complained about how long she was taking. you should be embarrassed! I went to this store to buy some reading glasses yesterday afternoon and got into line and the cashier was doing multiple transactions for customer in front of me. There were 2 cashiers at the same register, and the cashier at the next register over, were all talking to this person and didn't even care there were people in line. When they finished with this customer, I realized the customer was an employee and when she was finished she went over to chat with the other cashier. Both cashiers in my line literally without acknowledging me or the other customer in line, walked away from the register to finish chatting for about 30 seconds. It looked like one cashier was being trained on the employees transaction, but NOT an excuse for ignoring me or customer behind me. I've had similar experiences at this location and likely will not go back. Thankfully there's other dollar trees around! read more

They only had one cashier and lots of customers (15 -20) in line waiting. No one is there to help him. I tried calling the manager or supervisor in this store, no answer. The cashier was telling the customers "it is what it is" no apologize to customers waiting. I don't think he likes job. They need more help at this store!!!! read more

Terrible customer service! The girl at the register had a huge line and didn't once call for back up.. meanwhile I can hear two ladies in the office chatting it up. An older lady finally comes out, and heads to a register(but doesn't open) and starts working on go backs.. Customers had to ask for another register to be opened. Honest review about this Dollar Tree Off Washington St. I have been in this dollar tree frequently to get some supplies. First let me say this place is always dirty and a mess. They never clean up the isles and they are so small you can't even push your cart through them. Everything is just thrown on the shelves and unorganized you can't find anything. The workers are never working, I have no idea where they are because you never see them. When you go to check out there is no one at the cashier and somebody has to call for one when the line is backed up. That's ridiculous. Next they sell no food in the freezers here. They don't even have fridges or freezes here! Maybe a update to this store will help. Restrooms are always not in use, in fact I don't even see a restroom in here because they always say it's closed or you can't use it. Why is that? ‍ The employees here are always rude & never friendly. You never see management here ever, maybe they are hiding out in the office so they don't have to work or clean up the store. To end this, this store needs a big makeover. It needs to be cleaned good. It needs new management. It needs to be organized better. It needs a place to put baskets so they are not thrown in the front like a dirty ghetto place. They need more food and fridges here for frozen foods like most have. They need to unlock their restrooms so people can actually use them. They need friendly employees to help customers. Bought toothpaste and a couple other items. Older women with accent at the check out asked me if I wanted a bag. I said no thank you, I don't need a bag. After giving her my credit card she asks me if I would like a receipt. Of course I want a receipt! I start to gather my items notice she put them in a bag for me. Hmmmm I think to myself I have 4 items. I don't need a bag. So I take the items to my car and look at the receipt. She charged me for the bag! Now it isn't the cost of the bag, it is the fact that I feel she took advantage or scammed me. I dump my 4 items in my car to take back the bag. ( what a waste of resources) I go back in the store and say hey! You charged me for the bag. She acts all pissed at me. I am thinking really? You clearly heard me tell you I did not need a bag. She goes fine. I have a dime in my pocket I can give you. Was she really thinking I would feel bad that she been caught? Then she acts as if I did something wrong? I said clearly this isn't my problem it's yours. S he huffs loudly and acts all pissed off at me. I wanted to say you picked the wrong person to feel guilty over your scam. Cute dollar store. I normally can get everything I need here without having to drive from store to store. We found snacks, sodas, paper goods, and toys for the pool. So they broke when we used them. But hey, it was $1. Can't really expect much for a buck. I didn't like that you can't take the carts outside. That was a bummer. And I needed to use the restroom but they were locked. Yes that extra penny does make a difference in comparison to the $.99 store. This dollar tree is seriously high class with their selection items. They have the most random things--Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas decorations. Gift bags and cards, toiletries, snacks of all sorts, household cleaning products, pet food and mind boggling rubix cube type games. If you're the type of person that likes to spend your money on random junk come here--you will find a reason to waste your money on a something or another. They even have a teachers corner with all these cool teacher supplies and they also give a discount to teachers. That is AMAZING--dollar tree gives discounts to teachers!! read more

I had a terrible experience at this store when the salesperson, Jessica, was not able to give me a receipt for a purchase for work supplies for over $40. Apparently, she changed the receipt tape in the middle of the transaction and messed up the receipt. I waited for over 40 minutes and nothing was ever resolved. The assistant manager first tried to tell me that I could not get my receipt or return the items because I paid with an ATM. Then she said that if I had paid in cash, she could allow me to return the items and recheck them, but too bad for me that I used an ATM. After that, the assistant manager tried to tell me that the transaction didn't go through. I checked my bank, and I showed her that it had posted. I was then told that I would need to return the next morning if I needed a receipt because this is when the manager was in. This was the only way that I could get a printout of the receipt. She said that she didn't have authority to do this. My husband did go back the next morning, and he had to wait an additional 20 minutes to finally get a copy of the receipt! Came here for two reasons to buy four greeting cards and swimming floaters for my son. I found both of those items right where they were supposed to be. Even better the cards were 2 for $1. What a savings compared to other stores. The lady at the check stand was also very friendly and greeted everyone with a smile. read more

I always save lots of money at Dollar Tree. Paper towels, laundry detergent and bathroom tissue are are on my list of regular purchases. Not even Walmart can compete on such items as oral analgesic, antibiotic ointment and inter-dental brushes. The store sells venerable brand names such as Lavoris (mouthwash) and Oxydol (laundry detergent) -- products that have been around for 60 years or more but are rarely seen on store shelves. There's also a wide selection of attractive dishes and glasses. Apparently, once a style or pattern is sold out the store does not replenish the supply, so buy as many as you want when you see them. I wouldn't bother with the flower bulbs, though. Compared with bulbs I bought at Home Depot, the DT bulbs were anemic looking. read more
