Three stars is being generous. I wanted to buy some jeans and came to this Kohl's so I could try on a variety of jeans in a brick and mortar store. Jeans need in-person shopping for me rather online because I need to know the fit. I found a large section of jeans and the sizes were in a jumbled mess, with many of the size indicators on the hanger not matching the actual size of the jeans and forget about having the sizing be hung in smallest to largest order. After pouring through the racks I only found three size 3 pairs, which didn't give me much to choose from. When I entered the unattended fitting room, it was like entering a disaster area - each stall was littered with clothes. On the ground, on the hooks, on the seat - just chaos. The return rack was overflowing onto the ground. I found a pair of jeans that fit and went to go checkout and was surprised to find that the line leads you straight to a self checkout area of many stations, then much further back is a checkout with a single cashier standing there, looking away and avoiding eye contact. I rang up my jeans and when I left the alarm went off because apparently there was a security tag on my jeans. I brought it up to the woman behind the counter who motioned for me to a device where I could remove it myself. Shopping at this Kohl's was the most unjoyful experience imaginable; it was beyond depressing and I just can't fathom why Kohl's considers this business model to work. I really like the products from Kohl's, the offers that they have. Unfortunately there is an employee always has attitude. Acts like he's the owner of the store. Sadly he's just an assistant, employees that feel titled that he's above everyone. I had already called his intention to the manager of his actions and still treats customers terrible. The kind of example that he puts to his coworkers, give employees an idea how to treat customers terrible. Example what happened to me. So I got a few items to purchase gave my wife the credit card so she can go shopping while I was using the restroom. She's pregnant. Keep that in mind. She's checking out with the items that we were gonna go ahead and purchase. Employee ask of the credit card belong to her. She says no but she's an authorized buyer. Which she is just because of her looks employee, grabs the bags put them aside. He told her that she was lying. Does she need to provide a different form of payment. I understand employees asking for ID when using a credit card. But making her cry and embarrass her in front of coworkers and customers. That just made me furious. Finally came over ask what was the problem. Horrible customer service. I went in on a Saturday evening, the cashier didn't know what she was doing. She insisted that she print out my "rewards". Long story short, her insistence resulted in delaying me half an hour. Between the cashier and the manager they could not figure out how to print my receipt. The manager was not considerate of my time. I told him I was in a hurry and needed my receipt. He still proceeded to take him time. No apologies, nothing. Worst experience! read more

I went to pick up an online order & it said "your order is at customer service in the back with Amazon" I get to the back with this long ass line & there is a sign that says "customer service has been moved to the front" so I stepped out of line & asked one of the workers if I should go to the front or is it back here, she started speaking in Spanish & when I told her I didn't speak Spanish, she goes "go to front" & I go "okay fine" & she goes "yeah bye" right there, y'all are lucky I didn't go off on her. Anyways, I go to the front near the pick up orders & I ask another lady the same question & she goes "hold on" & walks away. Only 2 clerks, another showed up but waved people behind our long waiting line 2 help self serve. Again back to 2, 1 that was having issues w/her customer. Horrible customer service! I order all my items online to pick up in the store. The last three times I have come to the La Quinta store to pick up, it has been an absolute nightmare! Today I had an order to pick up in the back, the kid scanned my bar code and told me to sit down while he processed some Amazon orders BEHIND me. I waited for him to scan five orders then saw there were six more waiting and about lost my mind. I asked him if I have to sit there all day waiting until there are no more Amazon orders before I can get my items. He finally stopped and went and got my stuff after I complained enough. He said that's the process there. I guess Amazon returns are more important than Kohls customers. It's Sunday and the store is packed and only one person working customer service! I felt so bad for the kid. He was doing a great job but single handedly and that's not fair and also shows that Kohls is a horrible employer. I am done with Kohls! Gabe, the manager should be fired! Horrible store and customer service. Came in last night. Bought 4 pj bottoms and 4 tops. Got home. Wrapping them this morning and realized that two of them were marked wrong. The hanger had one size, the actual size was different. (Personnel work problem). Had thrown away the bag and receipt. My mistake. Came in this morning, to a disarray in the service area. When it was my turn, explained that I just need to exchange for the correct sizes. Not upset that I had to do extra work of the inconvenience of their poor work. I always use a debit card and I had the Kohls app ready to go. They scanned it last night so common sense would think they had a record. The gentleman behind the desk said he couldn't find them, using my card or the app (the lady trying to do a return next to me was having the same problem...discussion on computer not working great). I asked if he could keep them there and I'd go get the correct size to just do an exchange instead of a return...nope. He called the manager and after some back and forth I was told he couldn't do anything. At this point, I was upset and said they were losing a customer over approx. $20. The guy didn't care. I threw the pjs away as I was leaving. The manager was walking by, I told him the situation and he wasn't helpful. Said he was on his way back to talk to me. That was NEVER told to me. Goodbye Kohl's. Yep, I'm only one customer but keep this up and you will lose many customers and go out of business. $20. That's pretty stupid. read more

I absolutely love that they take Amazon returns... Just remember that you need to initiate the return before walking into the store. Several good things to note: Kohl's will give you a coupon to use attached to your Amazon product return receipt & it's good for a week, Amazon Credits your account quickly, you don't need to repackage the item nor do you need to print anything out (unless Amazon tells you to do so), the transaction is really quick & efficient if you have your return QR code open on your phone. It's a simple as handing them the item, them scanning your phone & handing you a receipt/coupon. Took me less than a minute once I got thru the holiday line.... I don't support Kohl's falsely inflating its prices on black Friday to make it appear you're 0 getting a good deal. Things were priced similarly -- at "full" price last week, and were on "sale" for the same price today. Noticed this with a lot of the apparel. I've been a Kohl's customer for about 20 years. I'm now 81 years old, disabled, and rely on a walker. Today, I had to return an item to the La Quinta store. Walking is always difficult for me but today I was also in considerable pain and dreading the long walk to and from the returns desk at the rear of the store. The store was not particularly busy and so I asked a young man (who appeared to be in a managerial capacity) if returns had to be made at the rear. He looked at my walker and masked face and said, "No, they can take you at the checkout" and pointed to the checkout line in the women's department. When I got to the checkout desk, a small, pale young man proceed to reprimand me very vocally saying that while he would process the return, "next time" I would have to return items at the rear of the store. I replied that a manager had given his approval. He repeated his admonition about "next time." I certainly did not appreciate being treated like a recalcitrant 2-year-old and subjected to such a humiliating, public scolding. It makes me wonder how the La Quinta store has earned even its unimpressive 2 1/2 star rating. read more

Do not get a Kohl's credit card. My bank got bought out by another bank. I was on automatic payments so I was less than 30 days late in paying my less than $300 bill. Kohl's reports you too the credit companies immediately and my credit score went from 780 to 660 just because of the small bill. I am ripping up my card and will never shop at Kohl's again! I love shopping at Kohl's but not at this location. I would much rather make the drive to go to the Palm Desert location where they are a lot friendlier. Every time I come to this location the security guard follows me. I have 3 kids. I have a lot going on. I'm not stealing but he follows us around the store; like he is going to catch us take something. Good grief; this location makes me feel like I'm a criminal even though I am not. I'll all honestly, I typically don't write reviews, but this store was kind of mismanaged. I spent a long time looking for someone to help me with a few questions I had, but every employee seemed to have vanished or were aloof. I was afraid to bother anyone because they all decided to stand together instead of assisting customers. I will say, I did receive really amazing service after wandering for a bit from an employee named Colleen (I think that was her name, but she has wonderful pink hair) who was super kind and helpful. She pointed me in the right direction and was my saving grace after what seemed like hours of wandering looking for any help. I hope Kohl's gets some better management for this store but at least there was 1 amazing employee to help! read more

I ordered a pan online for delivery from Kohl's. They asked me to write a review. I included the fact that it was delivered in a box that was taped so poorly that all I had to do was reach through one of the openings to pull the pan out. Here's how Kohl's responded: 1. Rejected my review because it talked negatively about their shipping process; 2. Failed to reach out to me as an unhappy customer and acknowledge my disappointment. Kohls doesn't always have the best prices but they definitely have the best customer service. Everytime I shop here the cashiers and workers are always really friendly and sparking up conversation. It's just a nice change compared to the average "Hello, how are you? Have a nice day". I bought a little glass cow decoration item and the cashier seemed so curious about it haha. I came here in desperate need of tops! I was traveling this week and left most of my tops at home, and Kohl's is my go-to store! This one is a nice store; good inventory and generally helpful staff. The only downside I saw was that I got in line behind a particularly slow customer, which totally isn't the store's fault. Then they sent another guy to open another register, but only after I stood there for 20 minutes behind a lady with a big pile of stuff, who split it up into 4 SEPARATE purchases and counted out exact change for each one?! I was losing my patience and the second line only opened up when the lady in front of me was finishing with her last purchase. So anyway, this is a nice store, but I'm saving 1 star because I think they could be a little more responsive to lines getting longer. read more

I love the way the merchandise is displayed so neatly. The aisles are extra wide to make for a neat appearance. Their prices are incredibly low and there is a plethora of choices. They carry almost everything you would need. And it is completely air conditioned. The employees are friendly and helpful. read more
