I love dollar stores and I think they are amazing, but for some reason this Dollar Tree doesn't make my "awesome store" list. Sure, every individual item's a buck, but a lot of it is really simple stuff. Shopping for a gift? Eh, you're not gonna find anything interesting here. Looking for durable school supplies? You might find something a bit nice. The thing is, when it comes to a lot of the important necessities, the quality of the items in the store just doesn't cut it. Even the plastic bags they give you for your items are awful. They rip in a few minutes. Buttt, if you like stocking up on snacks for cheap and buying some hygiene products, then this store won't let you down. read more

At first I was going to give this place 1 star but because the TRUE manager helped me with my online issue, it saved the store from being a 1 star. The reason for the 3 star is because the first time I went there, someone pretending to be the manager, making me wait 15+ min while talking to a coworker about his life experience, told me nothing can be done for my online order that was shipping to that store and to come back later. After a few days, I went back and spoke to the actual manager of the store and she was amazing in helping me out. She did her due diligence looking for the shipped item but couldn't find it so she made some calls to Dollar Tree Corporate office and was able to help get my money back. Thank you to the actual manager and not the fake one. Wish all the workers there had the same integrity as the manager because if they did, that store would be amazing to go to. read more

Its the DOLLAR STORE PEOPLE! It's not macy's, or Target so don't expect everything to be in tip top shape. I love coming here for little nicknacs I need I recently came here to pick up some snacks for a camping trip also. I picked up some hot dogs, buns, mustard etc... I like this location because they have a good selection of food products including refrigerated items. Some of the brands are kinda knock-off brands but they get the job done. I bought some cheese balls and everyone at our camp party loved 'em. and they were only a buck! This location in particular has a alot fo offer from foil to school supplies , food hair products etc... you can save a lot by shopping here first. read more

I CANNOT believe my eyes! People complaining about paying a quarter to use a shopping cart, (have you noticed how many stolen carts are around?) the store being messy at times, long lines, etc, etc, etc. What do these people expect; Nordstrom's? I, for one, am thankful for the party supplies, serve ware, greeting cards (2 for $1.00), etc. I think for minimum wage employees these people do a fantastic job! Thank you DOLLAR TREE! read more

Cheap store with generally slow service. My patience is tested every time I go there but I still go back for more. Not very tidy inside. I bought school supplies there. read more

Went to this Dollar tree for the first time a few months ago. I went to that particular shopping center to check out the grocery outlet there, also for the first time. It is a huge store. Close to twice the size of the one in Milpitas. Lots of great bargains. I plan to return. read more

Need to get a bang for your buck? The dollar tree store is the place to go. Located near the corner of Capital Avenue and McKee Road this little store is very clean and well-kept. I like to go there because it carries a lot of laundry supplies which are very inexpensive. It also has an array of holiday things that you can use at your home or give as gifts. With the economy being as it is that's a big plus as Christmas is upon us. What are your holiday shopping, looking for appliances for your home, or looking for wrapping paper for the holidays you will find your needs well met at the store. Try it I think you'll like it. When you go there tell them Karen sent you read more

Now that most items in the store are $1.25, the value is no longer there. Actually, it doesn't mean that prices just went up 25%, prices are actually much higher. 2.5 liter Shasta (which used to be 3 liters a long time ago) is now 2 liters. Bags of chips are now snack size. So, higher price and smaller size product means that chain grocery stores are now less expensive on sale, and you get name brand products. Dollar Tree no longer is less expensive than the big box wholesale club. With mostly poor quality and small goods,, bang for your buck is no longer there. read more

As a teacher, Dollar Tree is as close as you can get to heaven. This particular store always has a great selection of teaching material, storage containers, and is usually very organized. Some of the clerks are rather off-putting, slow, and shouldn't be working retail, but others do a great job helping quickly and pointing you in the right direction of what you came for. The only reason I'm writing this review of a place most people wouldn't think twice about even looking up reviews about is because I was the 3rd Dollar Tree I went to today and they had everything I was looking for. Hurray! read more

Worst dollar tree ever. Came here 3 times on 2 different days to get an online order and the manager was never present those times so I couldn't receive my package. What store doesn't have a manager present at all times? Wasted gas and time having a package sent here, never choosing this dollar tree again. Btw still don't have my package, and need to make a FOURTH TRIP. This is ridiculous service and management. read more

Everything was ok until I went to the restroom, its beyond unsanitary so dirty without saying all the walls are with printed with graffiti maybe from gangs? who knows terrible beyond words. I'm wondering what the manager is waiting to buy some paint and clean that restroom? Its terrible for the store image shows no caring or respect for the customers even worse the children that use it! I asked for the manager and they told me he was not there. I'm attaching the pictures that speak for itself. I'm so disgusted I'm even wondering if this can be reported to the City. So sad. read more

I do like this location a lot! It is huge and cleaner than some other ones I have seen and I always find some great stuff. I usually come here at Christmas time, get 5 boxes of Christmas cards, if I want a new theme for the Xmas tree then I get my decorations here, and if I want to make goody bags for the kids, which let's be honest can get pricey if you want to give something to every kid, come here!! They have frozen goods and refrigerated items so if you need something for dinner and literary have no money come here! read more

I remember when I first started going to this store, a couple of years ago, and it was okay but ever since they remodeled it -adding a freezer section and more kitchen supplies- it got better! Everything's much more organized and the workers, those I've dealt with anyway, are friendlier; especially when they added a door greeter. However, they COULD do more with their refrigerator area but it is a dollar store, so, I don't really have high expectations -I just have reasonable ones ;) read more

I don't mind paying a quarter to rent a shopping cart. In fact, when I saw that change was coming I thought maybe it would mean more carts would be readily available. (You get your quarter back when you return the cart) I am a single mom and many times I have to bring my toddler with me to the store. Now that this renting a cart change has been made, I have yet to come in and find a cart available. This makes shopping with a toddler very difficult. Prior to this change I never had a problem securing a cart. It seems as though carts are somehow harder to come by now that they are locked up. I did see at least four carts sitting in the front of the store full of inventory and unattended. I would love if this store could make more carts available for rent. Thank you for your consideration. read more

Huge selection! Food, Toiletries, Kitchenware, School Supplies, Party Supplies, Pet Supplies, and so forth. Sometimes the lines get extremely long, but its a Dollar Store so it's kind of expected. One star off because the lady at the door was trying to make me buy a locker to put my Factory-2-U shopping bag. REALLY?! I'm a GROWN women, lady! I'm not ghetto. I'm not going to steal your Dollar Stuff. Get real. People at the entrance trying to sell Tamales and Churros and Stuff. read more

Worst experience of my life. I went here the other day with my boyfriend who is Irish. Got nothing but rude stares when upon walking in. We got looked at werid the whole time. When it was time to pay. We were waiting in line. The store employee said she is closing her cash register. Told another employee to ring us out. She kept looking at us with a smirk on here face. There was other people in line behind us still. But she end up ringing up all the people behind us. They were all Mexican behind us. If you walk in with a white person or is a white person. If yoy only see Mexican working. They will be rude and rasist to you. The Asian and Black lady's are really nice. Everyone else do not give you service. read more

Earlier today, I went to this particular "Dollar Tree" to purchase a can of shaving cream and a box of ice cream cones. I've been to this dollar tree several times over the last 2-3 years (most recently, yesterday), and none of the sales clerks ever required me to leave my backpack near the front door. Today, as I was walking past the sales counters toward the rear of the store where the ice cream was located, a short, Hispanic female clerk stopped me and told me to leave my backpack near the door. I had a very bad feeling about the demand. I had NEVER been told to leave my backpack at ANY Dollar Tree I've ever patronized (and I've probably been to over 20 different Dollar Tree stores in my life time, and have been an avid Dollar Tree customer for several years.) I should have been more assertive and asked if this was a new policy they enacted on this particular day and reminded them that I had shopped at that store on various occasions over the last 2-3 years (including the previous day) and never been told to leave my backpack at the door, and asked them if they were enforcing this policy for every customer with a backpack or if they were targeting "certain" customers. Instead, I (reluctantly) complied and left my bag near the front door. Looking back, I should have turned around and left that store instead of complying with a discriminatory action by the sales clerk. After picking up my two items and getting in line to pay for my merchandise, I noticed TWO women with backpacks on. The two women had completed their transaction and were walking toward the door when I noticed their backpacks. My gut was correct (as usual)...the sales clerk WAS discriminating against me and wasn't enforcing that so-called policy fairly. After I completed my sales transaction, I headed toward the side of the door to pick up my backpack. Shortly before I arrived at the door, the Hispanic sales clerk headed down one of the isles near the front of the store. I planned on confronting her about the concerns I mentioned earlier in the post and mentioned the other two customers with backpacks on. Needless to say, I won't be shopping at this particular Dollar Tree store again. If I need something from Dollar Tree, I'll go to the one near Eastridge Mall or elsewhere. I'm not giving my money to an establishment to be treated like a second class citizen. My experience at this Dollar Tree was very humiliating, demoralizing, degrading, disgusting, and I'm not tolerating it anymore. I will be taking formal action against this establishment. read more

Best place to shop. Unbeatable deals. Best selection to choose from. Great parking. EVERYONE is wearing mask. This dollar store sucks most of the employees are nice but there lazy as hell when some employees see long lines they still tend to still keep walking the floor and doing other stuff the employees should be cross trained to get on the registers if it's busy also they have had the same now hiring poster for over a year and never see any new employees they need to hire more people because all the lines are long and they usually only have two cashiers open read more

lines are crazy long.. only 2 open registers... once the line was a mile long.. they decided to open two more. god. ridiculous.. maybe since this one is stuck on the eastside.. everyone around this area looks for the cheap stuff since it's hella ghetto up in essj read more

I am very dissatisfied with the service I received at Dollar Tree today. I went to the store to purchase some artificial flowers to make a fake bouquet for my friend's bridal shower game. The first register I went to the lady said they were closed, so I looked up and I was OK with that because I didn't notice the light was off. I moved to another line, checking that the light was on. I waited patiently, as the woman in front of me was elderly and she didn't understand how her debit card worked. The cashier announced to her fellow coworker that she needed to go to break, so she turned the light off. Right before she turned the light off, another older gentleman went in line after me and she told him that he will be the last person to check out. The other cashier opened the lane next to me and told the gentleman behind me that he can help him. I didn't make any commotions, but of course in my mind I was saying that I was in line first so he should have checked me out, but I didn't make a big deal about it and waited patiently in line for the elder woman to check out. Then the cashier told me that the line is closed and that I need to go to another line. I told her that when I came her the light was on. She persisted to tell me that her light was turned off when I came. At that moment I was in total disbelief that she was lying because she first told the older gentleman behind me that he was the last customer, and then tells me that her line is closed. I said "fine." I was about to go to a different line, but saw that the lines got longer, then decided that I am not going to condone this type of treatment. So I placed the artificial flowers on the shelf and walked out of the store. I am not going to shop at Dollar Tree anymore because it's not worth being mistreated. I would rather shop at Michael's, Target, or Walmart and pay a higher price than to shop at Dollar Tree to be mistreated. I have never complained so bad about a store, but this incident got me so pissed off that I have to complain. Dollar Tree needs to retrain their staff to provide much better customer service. I can understand if the customer is being unreasonable, illogical, and difficult. But I was not one of them, so why was I mistreated? read more

So, I'm here at the dollar store. A blind man walks in and ask for assistance with walking around the store. They called up the manager duty which was joaquin. And the man nicely asked for assistance. The manager ended saying he was short staff a member and that he couldn't have anyone help out, That this store doesn't provide this service. The customer said he comes in often and says he gets help. He as the manager could have walked around and done it.... what kind of service is that... very disappointing and won't be returning back to this location what a disappointment to society read more

Dol-lar Tree: n. 1. a place where everything costs a dollar, so why the hell do I end up spending 40 bucks each time I come here. 2. party favor warehouse 3. the cheapest teacher's supply store ever 4. the thriftiest location for organization with boxes and baskets galore 5. home of the 99 cent pregnancy test, just don't get caught with it in that god forsaken line. 6. It's the dollar tree you can't really ask for much but u can usually find what I'm looking for here and the employees are usually friendly for the most part. I love Dollar stores! Everything is $1, you find so many things that would cost $5+++ at other places (things that you might use rarely too sometimes). Anyhow from all of the Dollar Stores I've been to in the Bay this one is one of the best I've seen (along with the store in Fremont). I happened to come here by chance, after visiting my dentist. The store is large, well-stocked, and very organized. One thing I noticed this dollar store might not have an extensive collection of is, cards. Also it is very far away from Palo Alto. read more

Give this DT and one in Campbell better rating due to the selection. These two compared to others in SJ area have more, different items on par with other DT's in other states. Campbell.. Ssshhh is in a out of the way plaza, not only is it huge but it has super kewl items not found at other DT's close by. DT in general, not laid out well, shelves, product, registers, wish company would be more creative, inventive, with product placement, and layout of the stores. read more

Worst dollar store ever. They have long lines with only two cashiers. Mm interesting!

I never use to go to Dollar Stores or cheap Retail Stores.... I guess it was just my way of being a stuck up, lol. But I was really amazed to discover Dollar Tree Store! Everything for $1! Wow what a deal! I've been to 3 different Dollar Tree Store, North Capitol, Milpitas Blvd, & the one at Beryessa. I personally like the one in North Capitol because it's the biggest out of the 3 so they have more selection. You can find the most random things there, lol. Just recently, I was shopping around for things to send to my family back in the Philippines and I didn't realize that I've already spent an hour & half walking around aisle by aisle with a cart full of odds and ends and knick knacks! Anyways, I think I've become a "pro" at knowing what I should buy from Dollar Tree and what not to buy because you have to be smart about your choices... for example you can find the same brand of item there for $1 but other stores sells it twice as much but at the same time, they also sell something for $1 that you can find at other stores for a little cheaper. I gave this store 4 Stars because it's a great place to shop and find things at affordable price but it can also get pretty crowded.... THERE IS ALWAYS A LINE AT THE REGISTER.... ALWAYS! read more

Well were do I start, well do I have a story for you. I needed some arts and crafts supplies for my son so we thought of dollar tree oh and my mom and sister needed a few thing too so I took them. We got there and there was no carts in front, but so many locked outside in the parking lot so my son who has Autism has to be put in the cart or else he runs away or throws him self just like that on the floor when it's loud. Loop So I saw a cart that a few items with stickers and soup so my sister and mom took those things out and here come some big guy tell them "what are you doing those are to be put away" He said it rudely and I always test people's attitudes before I get mad just to see if there are serious. So I said yes because I asked a 2 people and 1that was on a cash register and the both said hold on but nothing. Then one of these cashiers said stop being lazy and go get one. Then I was like I would but you have someone on ur side lazy. I just need a cart for my son. It's was a lot more stuff but I will just leave it at that.. They were just RUDE. And 1 more thing 1 line open to pay is CRAZY just open 3 or 4 gosh!!! Grey read more

It's dirty, unorganized, and very unpleasant to even go in here. Honestly id rather spend more money and go across the street to target. Target still has some cheap stuff and way better quality.
