Employees were moving out items to make room for the next seasonal holiday, which would be Easter. There were a lot of empty spaces in the middle of the store. They were some Valentine's Day items but not a whole lot. I ended up finding some nice lemon scented bar soaps that were made in Italy. They smelled so good. I also found a cute Pusheen gel pen set. Both were a great price. There was a very long line at the checkout. It took about 10 minutes until I got to a register. The employee helping me at the checkout was very kind and courteous.

I'm shocked to see a retail store in this sorry state. Items thrown under displays, trash and grime on the floor and shelves, items carelessly thrown around, there's no love and care at all. But, that all makes sense given that the employees are verbally harassed, yelled at, and talked down to by upper upper management. If I was consistently made to feel like I wasn't good enough by my superiors, I wouldn't put any effort or love into my work either.

You check out at the self serve kiosk at the checkout counter. There were 2 employees at the front counter but neither acknowledged me.

It has stationary, make up, toys, collectibles from mascots like Pokémon, Sanrio and other anime. It's a well clean and popular store that attracts all audiences. I came in to find some blind boxes but this location didn't have any. The staff were nice and easy to talk to. You can either pay with a live person or scan on their machine for easy self check out.

However, there were a few issues on checkout. I was charged for the lower of two prices on a bunch of canned soup I bought. That was good. But that mostly got wiped out by being charged sales tax on them all. Canned soup is not taxable in California. That should be corrected. Also, the receipt that got printed only shows the total. To get an itemized receipt you have to do "Email Receipt" on the checkout screen. Although it will just show prices since they are typing in the value on a white price label, not scanning a bar code. One $11.99 item got rung up at $12.99. But only 2 of 3 items I got from the refrigerated area were charged to make up for that. The items I got from the fridge did not have the price stickers. Not sure if there had been any prices on the shelf. Anyway, might wanna check your emailed receipt before leaving the parking lot.

Also got a 32oz Owala for $15 here. Theyre usually always $30. Unfortunately, they don't have these products anymore. Sometimes you get to find some gems here, I usually stop by every other week just to see what they have. The security guard was very short and curt with me and raised his voice and said that I couldn't take it out past the door. (BTW, I work with a ton of security professionals & contact security organizations, I've never been treated this way.) I told him I had issues and what could I do because my car is just a few feet away. I can't transport the items. He told me to park in the handicapped parking. Which is another violation, anyhow I parked alongside it. He didn't even offer to help me at all. I get that shopping cart theft is a huge issue. However this places an undue burden on those with accessibility issues & the elderly. Customers should at least be allowed to walk a few feet to their cars. I was parked, literally just a few feet away in the parking lot, directly in front of the store as well. I really hope this location doesn't close down as the Oakridge and Great mall locations did close. Employees seem happier at this location than the previous other locations.
