I usually have a pretty good experience at Dollar Tree--or should I say "Dollar + Tree" now. Prices aren't just $1 anymore, with items ranging from about $1.25 up to around $7, but it's still one of the cheapest places to grab candy and everyday items. The shelves are usually well stocked, the aisles are fairly clean, and the staff I've interacted with have been friendly. I haven't tried any of the frozen food, but I always see other customers buying it, so it must be decent. Overall, it's a reliable spot for budget-friendly shopping. read more

Been in here several times and an older white man has been at the register when I've been here, always rude, miserable. I've approached him with "hello, how are you?" No response and rude. He also needs to cut his claws, they are horrid. I get it, customer svc is not easy but he is the poster child of the worst scenario at a check out line! read more

Every time I visit this place, it's almost like I can't believe it and I gotta come back and do it quality assurance check. It's almost too good to be true, a dollar store that is neat and organized but it is! I have been consciously coming back to prove myself wrong since last fall. This place hasn't let me down yet. And the people are nice. they are busy cleaning things up, putting things up. As I watch the employees, no one is wasting time. They are quick to respond when the line gets long, and they communicate respectfully to each other. These days when we have a dollar store on every corner, Ive got lots of choices. And my choice is to go somewhere where I can find things easily and have less clutter in my head, than I already have to work with, by being offered a neat set of aisles to browse. This company should come and study and find out what makes this place special and what's missing in others. I will drive out of my way to stop here instead of some ordinary place. The less things cost, the less the quality of human experience you seem to get. But this place turns that idea on its head. read more

I came in today, Monday, November 13 around 4:15 PM. While walking through the store, I overheard the cash register man older white male with a face mask, telling a customer. If she doesn't like it here in Jacksonville, she can go back where she came from, the Hispanic woman left, and he continued to talk about her and say adios when she left. This is a Dollar store near where I live so it is very convenient when I need an inexpensive this or that! I can always find something that I can use. This day I was looking for Valentines stuff for display and for the grandkids and found big,plastic, heart boxes that I can fill with the candy and toys I want to give (not prepared) stickers (good eye/hand coordination skills) and cute little stuffed animals...yes the parents can throw them away in a few months, they cost a dollar! Believe it or not they do have food too....what I get is non-refrigerated 2% milk in a carton so when I need milk i have it (not in the refrig and spoiled since we don't drink much milk), lots of candy which I do not buy, crackers, soups and such. I even bought whole wheat bread, brand name here for... you guyed it $1 not $3.49 at regular grocer store! Lots of kitchen plates, bowls, wine glasses, drink glasses, kitchen baggies, plastic wraps and such too. Lots of toiletries-toothpaste, toothbrushes, nail polishes, etc. Like I said I can always find this or that there at a good price! 9/11/19 The last several months when I have stopped in here... the shelves are bare! What gives? With Hobby Lobby close it is more convenient to stop here then go to the other Dollar Store on San Jose BUT when I stop in there.. everything is full! Everything is a dollar!!! Lots of everything is dollar$! I have come to this store and spent over $50 on stuff; mostly cleaning supplies. Don't come here expecting to find anything great or solid; after all everything is only $1. Some of the deals I've found here have included a lock for the gym locker, cleaning supplies like bleach, clr, etc, and a few other items. Oh and I almost forgot pool noodles; they actually have Halloween colors now. Service here at this location is nice. They are friendly when checking you out. read more

On December 22, 2024, my wife and I went into store number 260 in Jacksonville, Florida while out Christmas shopping. We took our items to the register to check out and from the start, the cashier, an older white guy with slicked back grey hair and a heavier build was disrespectful and had a bad attitude. He said nothing to us as he took the items and scanned them. He then looked annoyed when I asked for the items to be bagged and annoyed again when I asked for the receipt. He then rudely tossed my bag on the counter and tossed my receipt on the counter as well even though my hand was extended to take it. My wife and I are a happily married interracial couple. That was the only difference between us and anyone else in his line. Everyone else got "Thank you, have a nice night! "I decided to test my theory. I grabbed a honey bun and went back to his register a second time. I was met with the same ugliness. This time there was zero talking, he actually threw my honey bun at me followed by my receipt. I immediately requested the manager. The manager, who was there at the time, did absolutely nothing about it except say unenthusiastically "I will talk to him." I then asked for the corporate office phone number but the number I was given goes straight to a busy line every time. I escalated up as far as the district manager, because I was hoping Dollar Tree would do the right thing, but even at that level I got zero results. So the behavior was basically condoned and that is likely why he feels comfortable enough to do it. The bottom line is this. My wife and I's experience at this store was backwards, discriminatory, disrespectful, combative and absolutely UNACCEPTABLE. I love my wife, and I will not allow her to be mistreated or disrespected, nor will I allow our marriage to be disrespected or belittled. I am absolutely disgusted and appalled. There is no way we will continue to return to Dollar Tree if the employees and the management so blatantly allow hateful and aggressive misbehavior. As a businessman myself, I can tell you the employee I mentioned and any others like him are ruining the Dollar Tree brand with his uncontrollable and blatantly racist antics. I hope that there are cameras so that they can be pulled and reviewed. This TERRIBLE experience will be shared with all of our friends and family so they know not to support an establishment that supports such behavior as well. Needless to say I am disappointed with Dollar Tree and will not be back. Disgraceful. read more

Horrible customer service. Rude management. Staff has an attitude as if they do not want to work. They could not blow up the balloons I requested until I checked the balloon area and aisles first but blew up some one else balloons. I felt highly discriminated against. Trust me you will be too. Well, second visit to this new store. They had every thing I wanted. Talked with Brian for a few minutes one of the managers. Looks to me he needs more help to clean up the store some, he was trying to stock shelves, help customers and do what else came up. Cynthia was on the register only other person in the store as far as help goes. I really like this store but if company tries to save a buck and not supply the help to do what is right. The help will be on a continuous change. So going keep a eye to see. Hopefully things will change for the better. Didn't want to take pictures at this time no need to embarrass Brian who is working hard to get things under control. We will see !! read more

Went into this location on 7/29/2019 with my husband. We had originally went into the location to kill some time and to see if we could find items to put in a thank-you basket (I'm currently 31 weeks pregnant and I'm making thank you baskets for the ladies throwing my baby showers). We went in located cards we wanted and were trying to see if we could locate bath salts that they previously carried. We couldn't find the bath salts, so we decided we would wait in our purchase until a later time when we could get everything at once. Understanding that we no longer required a basket, we put our items back and my husband took the basket back and placed it in the proper place. The associate (later identified as the assistant manager "Sha") came into the isle we had just walked out of and proceeded to get upset because she found items in a different location then they belonged. She then proceeded to angrily and loudly state that she would be "watched everybody". As she passed my husband and I she stopped and rudely and aggressively asked if we "saw who left it there". It wasn't our items nor had we seen who left them so we told her no and proceeded to look around. We were heading out to leave after this encounter, but I had noticed the movie bin at the front of the store. We started going through the bin to see if there were any movies we wanted, and as we're going through them, Sha again interrupts us and asks if we're "going to buy anything". At this point we were unsure- seeing as we were still looking and she was being very rude. I asked her if there was a problem with us looking at the movies and she said said "no, it's no problem", but again with an attitude. I had had it at this point. We found movies we wanted, we went to check out and I asked the cashier (names Christian- though they would not provide his name as Sha stated he did not have to because she was the store manager- again not true as she later clarified that she was only the assistant manager) for the district manager's number - to which he replied "man, I don't even know that." During our encounter with Christian, Sha proceeded to intervene- saying that she wanted my husband to turn out his pockets and although she couldn't ask me to take off my dress, would prefer if my husband turned out his pockets. At this point I was gathering store information. My husband complied and turned out his pockets as Sha told us it was because we had a basket and then put it back. NEVER IN MY LIFE HAVE I BEEN SO HUMILIATED! I am disgusted with this assistant manager and will be taking this as far as it can go. Her attitude was unacceptable as was her customer service. I will not return to that location as long as she is there and I advise you to do the same if you want to be treated like a person. I am baffled and beyond upset at this experience! And to think I went in there for a celebratory reason. Never again! read more

Always the best place to get simple stuff for a $1. Great for any economy. Convenient. Well stocked and sometimes messy, but acceptable. Nothing fancy and sometimes you can find really good stuff. They have household items, toys, school supplies, gift bags, food, almost anything! Love this place and save some money. read more

This dollar store was hopping and had a huge variety of anything you could need. They had a party section with matching table cloths, plastic wear, plates and napkins in baby blue, pink, black, red, purple, and yellow which I thought was great because I was there buying red tablecloths and plates for my kids Christmas party at school but if you were shopping to buy stuff for a baby shower or some other party needs they had great color combinations. They had a wonderful selection for Christmas decorations and stocking stuffers. It was busy in the store and all four cash registers were being occupied. They saw me and another woman waiting and a gentleman opened up the cash register in the balloon section of the store and called us both over. Great customer service! read more

This is one of my favorite dollar tree's to go to. They always have their shelves well stocked and the place is usually kept in order. I will say that their manager walks around following people, maybe he just followed me and my brother thinking we were going to steal something i dont know but he def freaked me out. However if you want to buy seasonal items, this particular dollar tree will always sell out much faster than any of the other dollar trees. So get it before its gone. read more

I have noticed that they apparently do not train their employees to open new lines when there is 9 or 10 transactions standing in line. My grandson wanted a balloon and we waited 20 min and when the girl finally came out she said they where out of that one and then whet on to do something else.... really they do not know to apologize for the long wait and then when you are out of stock offer another design,,, once I was checked out and the casher was handing me a receipt the manager came and asked the lady behind me if she wanted to move to a different register???? Really after making her wait 30 min to be checked out and now she is next in line and you think you are doing a good deed by asking her to change to a different register??? DUH! How about opening up registers when they are needed and don't have employs goofing off. The lady that was handling the checkout line had asked for help numerous times. read more
