This is a Dollar store near where I live so it is very convenient when I need an inexpensive this or that! I can always find something that I can use. This day I was looking for Valentines stuff for display and for the grandkids and found big, plastic, heart boxes that I can fill with the candy and toys I want to give (not prepared) stickers (good eye/hand coordination skills) and cute little stuffed animals...yes the parents can throw them away in a few months, they cost a dollar! Believe it or not they do have food too....what I get is non-refrigerated 2% milk in a carton so when I need milk i have it (not in the refrig and spoiled since we don't drink much milk), lots of candy which I do not buy, crackers, soups and such. I even bought whole wheat bread, brand name here for... you guyed it $1 not $3.49 at regular grocer store! Lots of kitchen plates, bowls, wine glasses, drink glasses, kitchen baggies, plastic wraps and such too. Lots of toiletries-toothpaste, toothbrushes, nail polishes, etc. Like I said I can always find this or that there at a good price! 9/11/19 The last several months when I have stopped in here... the shelves are bare! What gives? With Hobby Lobby close it is more convenient to stop here then go to the other Dollar Store on San Jose BUT when I stop in there.. everything is full! I think you need to hire more help!

New store needs added help a good sweep down would be nice.

I was wondering about this place before I moved here. My family member said this is where she gets…read moreher wine. And she has been eyeballing a frig. We walked around, we looked at a lot of stuff, but I'm not looking to become a hoarder. So I passed on everything. Seems like some of the food we looked at, was expired, or expiring soon. So, look at the dates before you buy. I think I will pass on any food. I looked at the wine, just running my eyes though the wine section, finally I found one, I like red wine, it wasn't at eye level, I had to look a shelf down. I purchased 1 bottle; it was $3.99, and my wine app couldn't tell me anything about it. And I didn't like it! I might go back and get a floor rug, but other than that, if I'm in the area, I might stop in. Customer service was ok.

Ehhh, I can't recommend this place…read more Lots of expired groceries! Expired everything, in fact. Other liquidation stores in Jax have occasional expired goods, but this store is FULL of expired stuff. Dangerous, and idk how it's legal. I found my way here out of curiousity to explore the various liquidation centers in Jax. As a Philadelphian, we have a few of these places starting to pop up, but the Jax ones are well established and have been there a long while. I feel sad for lower income shoppers who either don't know better or have no means of getting around to other stores, but this place is not only full of dangerously expired goods (which ought to be given to a food pantry for IMMEDIATE USE, or thrown out), they are overpriced at that. Coincidentally, I saw inventory there that I'd shopped at other stores. Some Cat&Jack (Target brand) pjs were $6.99 but they had been on clearance direct from Target a month before for $5!!!! Also, plush Rudolph reindeer priced at $7.99 had also been $5 on clearance at BJs! These are not deals, folks! I bought absolutely NOTHING and that is hard for me to do at a discount store. I can always turn trash to treasure and fix up or repurpose anything to help myself or my charity efforts, and I felt dirty to touch things in this store. I sent my husband and child to the car because I didn't want them around it all. Super disappointed and sad for the people who have no other options but to shop here.

Jax Oriental Market - Mochi fan? (・‿・) I was skeptical at first but glad I gave in! These are good with great texture @ Jax Oriental Market 大都会超市.

This was a very nice grocery store with an impressive variety of items. From the premade section…read morewith things like kimchi and soba noodles, to the fresh produce like squash leaves, radishes, and green onions, everything looked fresh and well stocked. They also had a great selection of meat such as beef bones for broth or even miso for soups and more, plus a dry goods area with several types of rice, cooking extracts, and sauces. One thing that really stood out was the variety of wrappers available for different kinds of dim sum (such as shumai wrappers and bao buns), which can be hard to find in many places. Beyond food, they also carry hair care products, soaps, and kitchen items like plates, bowls, chopsticks, sakè dishes, and soy sauce containers. They even have a nice little baked goods section where you can grab a snack while you shop. Overall, this store really seems to have a bit of everything and is a great place to find both everyday ingredients and specialty items.

We had a blast dusting our visit…read more To give a little background, I used to visit this store several years back when I lived in Florida. And on this trip, I had teenagers in tow. Of course, they went bonkers over being in a true store suited to there. It tastes in Asian food. It was great to see the store thriving, especially with the new expansion in store space, made to order bubble teas and frozen goods. ... Would totally recommend!
