So many valuable lessons learned! I've placed two online orders with Big Lot. Even though both…read moreorders showed they had the items in stock - BOTH orders were canceled as items were NOT available. On the second-order, I used a Visa Gift Card - HUGE mistake. I have contacted customer service via email twice with no resolution. I have contacted customer service by phone - no resolution. I have now been told in order to receive the $45 refund I need to go to the store or call the gift card company to get the refund processed. I will never shop online again with Big Lot and it's highly likely I will never return to their stores either - it's just too time-consuming dealing with all of the issues created by shopping here.

I purchased a long stool that also had storage in it, and when I asked the employee for assistance, it seemed as if I was bothering her then, when I went to the cashier to check out that lady kept bothering me about getting a credit card. I told her no multiple times and she was still so persistent. Honestly, if I didn't need that item, I would've just left because I hate when people nag me about being a credit card that I don't need. They do have some really great deals on bakeware and other kitchenware. I feel like on some of the HomeGoods you really have to look at the prices to make sure that it's worth the value.

Absolutely. I also purchased a dinnerware set with cherry blossoms on it. These square plates have stood the test of time - used over and over, run through the dishwasher, dropped off the side of a deck (don't ask) and they still look like brand new. And now I am informed they have added items to the line - canisters, napkin holders, tumblers - oh my! I have to get back to this place. Also, the workers there are FABULOUS! There will be one person on register and like 8 on the floor and no one can back up? I've recently found that they have very limited variety in casual clothes for women. But when the other 2 in my group came up and asked for her to honor a lower price on the same item she sighed and was like "I can get a manager to do that if you're gonna be mad about it." Then she didn't even do it right. My group went back up because they wanted the money off and she made another comment about us needing gas money. Real nice. My group all works in customer service jobs so we weren't being annoying even from the beginning.
