I'm in SHOCK right now. My mom and I took 8 bags of name brand things to this platos closet. Many of which were in style, in season, new, new with TAGS, and expensive brands. For example, anthropology, american eagle, nordstrom, urban outfitters, lululemon, Abercrombie, spanx, and more. There were at least 50+ items. They took FOUR. And it took them 2 1/2 hours to pick FOUR THINGS. AND THEY PAID US LIKE $14. My mom works with fashion for a living so it does not make sense that her things would not be "fashionable". Also, I am. 21 year old girl, I would also have a clue. However, they took our bottom of the barrel things like amazon and very old items. And the. I go through the racks and see things like the below pics. You would rather have a 50s polkadot dress and a Walt Disney night gown and not lululemon and anthropology? Do not donate clothes here it's a waste of time. I do not think the staff has any clues what they're doing.

Gave me a fair price for my items. My daughter enjoys shopping here. Has relevant styles.

Never truly understood how this place stays in business year after year.. it's been a staple of the…read moreMain Street commercial district for years, but I've never figured out why. The clothes are not particularly chic or stylish or unique- it's an overpriced J Jill or Coldwater Creek for the middle aged set. As far as customer service? Meh.. style, uniqueness, variety or quality of stock? Meh.. rye clothes are overpriced and off middling, lackluster style and quality in my book... I could never find anything I'd be willing to buy at even a deep discount other than perhaps a standard issue black tank top, which I can buy anywhere by virtually any design house at any price.. let's be real, a pair of flowy , crinkled rayon loose pants by some random label are not worth $119- and I literally just spotted that very item at that very price. A coordinating tunic/top at a comparable price tag, etc, some boring white tops, a few tank tops, some button down top/tunics that I wouldn't buy and some accessories too middle aged for me are status quo. Price points? It isn't outrageously pricey for the area, yet the prices were too high for what they're offering... As for layout/displays? The boutique definitely is laid out well, but that's about all I can say. The shop is clutter free, clean, well laid out.. If I was a stay at home soccer mom type, who goes to church events and was not into mixing street style with high and low pieces, perhaps this might be my speed, although I doubt it. Even if I was older or had kids, the clothes still wouldn't be upmarket or unique enough for me and I dislike the 'higher end' price tag on items that decidedly are not high end or even mid range luxury. While I did get a quick greeting from a sales associate (some food in the store didn't rate a glance or a hello, so perhaps I should feel impressed), it really wasn't friendly and I could tell by her response that she was totally uninterested if I was browsing or buying. Nothing I saw even looked like something I'd see in a fashion magazine or on a Saks or Macys website. If I want to pay those prices, and I often do, I want style and quality- so I'd rather buy something from Michael Kors and know it's worth the $. Not for me... sorry.. ...

I've stopped in many times looking more like a "bag lady" than a customer, & I ve always been treated with courtesy & friendliness! It's unfortunate & UNUSUAL if you happened to shop there on a "bad day" for a salesperson. Things go on in everyone's life that have nothing to do with you. Unless you were called a racist name or you were refused service, shame on you for your OWN racist & libelous accusation!!
