We stopped by here this weekend, my boyfriend had a pair of shoes from a different location to return. I could use some new shoes for a work trip next month and I ended up getting a very comfy pair of Clarks sandals - my trip is in CA so they should be useful. They were a bit pricey, about $70 and then 20% off because it was clearance, but for Clarks that isn't terrible. They came in size 7.5 wide which was awesome too - since I have a wide foot, it's usually really hard for me to find comfortable shoes. FYI, this location does not have a bathroom, but I imagine TJ Maxx across the plaza probably would have one. The Novi DSW does have one but I've been finding that most DSW locations do not.

The good: I have never left this store feeling like I wasted my time. Even when I just pop in after work or on the weekend I am able to find something, whether it was what I was looking for or some random off season shoe in the clearance room. The bad: The store is a little unorthodox in that there are no fixtures and the shoes are all stacked in piles on the floor. Also, the floor plan is a little odd if you're not a regular customer. The ugly: the hours. Oy vey!! Their hours are horrendous!! If you can't make it in immediately after normal work hours then good luck making it when they're open. It can also be difficult to find a specific shoe at any given time so you have to keep an open mind when you go in.

Theses shoes were in need of replacement, therefore I had called New Balance and asked them what was the model number they gave me #928. I proceeded to the store and was greeted by the representative , Christian Kovach. I told him what I needed based on my call. He also gave me a model to consider. He proceeded to bring the shoes and assisted me with putting them on and adjusting the ties. This is was very impressive. Most stores just hand them to you and provide no assistance. I am a senior citizen and find the new generation somewhat lazy but Christian proved to me that people do care and want you to be happy. I then proceeded to the other style #880 in black. I was surprised they felt also comfortable and gave a second option. I want to commend New Balance for hiring Christian Kovach. He deserves a big raise. He represents your store very well, he is very confident, courteous and professiona. I will recommend to my friends and family where to go for shoes. Thank you Christian.
