I said I would like to make an appointment. I arrived at the agreed upon time and was asked by the saleslady what I was looking for. I showed her the colors for the wedding I am attending. She asks what my budget was, I told her "it's is whatever I like". She showed me a few dresses but I asked if I could look around. She asked what style I liked and I said "understated and elegant". She said "this is not that kind of store". I didn't really like any of the dresses so I decided to leave. On my way out she said she had another room I could look in. In that side room I saw 1 black and white dress that I liked and she showed me 2 other black dresses. I tried the 1st dress on. As she was zipping me up, I said I didn't care for it and was going to try on the other dress. I went in the room to undress and she said twice " open the door" because she saw me looking at the black and white dress. I said twice "wait a minute please" so she hung it outside my dressing room to try next. I tried on the 2nd dress but didn't like it. I told her that she didn't have to zip me up because I didn't like it and I wanted to try on the black and white dress. She said to me rudely "you don't like nothing; how can you tell if you like it if you don't want to zip it up!" I said, "I can tell without zipping it up if I like it or not and I want to try on the Black and white dress". She then took the B/W dress that was hanging outside my dressing room and hung it back up with the other dresses for sale. I told her "As a sales person you shouldn't make me feel bad". I left and won't be coming back!

As cliche as this sounds, if you're in love with something, get it. Part of being on trend means stock is what it is. Once it sells out, odds are it wont be back. There are also a good amount of things on sale. I did have an exchange and it was hassle free. Be aware that they only do exchanges within 14 days. Once she knows your size and style, you'll be all set! She knows her clients! This store was voted the best resale shop in Michigan. When walk into this beautifully decorated and well-stocked store it doesn't look or feel like a typical resale shop. She has an eye for couture, current trends, vintage, and formal wear in sizes from extra small to XXL. No matter what your size, you'll find fashionable clothing. She also carries accessories (scarves, jewelry, purses, etc...) One of her mottos is "being broke ain't cute" and her clothing is priced right. If you catch a sale, don't sleep on it. I've gotten many designer dresses around $30-$35. Of course there are items below and above this price! She usually does a weekly FB "live" so that you can see some of her mostly one of a kind inventory. There are dressing rooms inside with adequate space and full-size mirrors. There is still a mask policy. So wear one or she had them for you at the door. There's paid parking on 9 mile and in the back lot.

If you are looking for a place to consign your clothes, look elsewhere--unless you enjoy risking your items going missing without a trace or spending hours looking for your items. The owner herself didn't explain the process upfront which would give anyone pause from leaving their stuff here. Rather was rude when I said she didn't explain it upfront. There was zero accountability for lost or stolen items. When you hand your clothes over to a consignment shop, there is an expectation of basic care and security. Sadly, that is completely absent here. They have a policy that basically shrugs off theft or loss. They simply do not care about protecting your inventory. I had a few items that I never was able to find and the owner was no help. I was given attitude for any question I had. Spent hours looking for my items. Originally when I asked the owner how it worked, she failed to mention that I would have to look for everything myself at pickup. When my consignment period was up, I had to go through the crowded racks and hunt down every item myself. I spent so much time digging through racks just to recover some of my belongings. As a customer, a consignment shop should provide a level of partnership and trust. This place takes your items, cuts you out of the loop if they get stolen, and forces you to do the heavy lifting when you want them back. Save your time, your energy, and your items--consign somewhere that actually values its clients or better yet donate them to someone who really needs them.
