I was disappointed in what that could buy me in this store, it seemed overpriced to me. The "homemade" looking crafts and signs were all made in China, etc., and given pricey markups. Why not support local craft vendors who can make these beautiful items with quality and give back to the community? Secondly, and MORE importantly, when you walk into the store, there is a strong smell that hits you as soon as you're in. It's hard to identify, but it has a cigarette and mildew smell to it, and it was throughout the store; possibly coming from the ventilation system. I tried to get over it as I walked around the store, but I just couldn't stand it any more. When I left, I had a sore throat and a headache. Not sure what's up with that, but an allergic reaction for sure. I don't think I'll be going back to this store for these two reasons.

Nice small hardware store near my house that meets many of my project needs. Relative to the store, it has all the basic stuff you would expect from a hardware store like Hardware, electrical, plumbing, tools etc and also offers some unique stuff Like Traegger smoker Grilles/supplies/pellets and a full assortment of Stihl power tools that you will not find in the bigger home improvement chains. Ace also have a free rewards program where you get periodic cash awards for use with purchases at their store and has some great sales. On this particular trip I purchased Scotts four step fertilizer 5000 square ft program for $65 dollars (regular $85) which is a great price and used a $5 rewards card to further lower this cost. You can't touch this cost anywhere else and is much cheaper than the $300 lawn service I used to use. Also I bought some Traegger cherry wood pellets for my smoker for the same cost that you can get it on line and avoided the shipping cost. Overall a great alternative to the big chain stores especially if closer to your home.

Prices were surprisingly good, taking other Ace stores in to consideration. Service was everything you'd expect from an independent Ace store. It was really a nice experience all around. I was super excited to see their tool selection, though. Finally, a store with a nice selection of reasonably priced tools that aren't trash, without having to drive to Novi! Not to mention the fact that many of the tools are Craftsman - my favorite brand. At first, I was worried that they might cannibalize business from Five Star Ace in Highland, but given the specialty stuff they sell (extensive plumbing, for example) compared to the more "standard" stuff here, I think the two can coexist nicely!

These square plates have stood the test of time - used over and over, run through the dishwasher, dropped off the side of a deck (don't ask) and they still look like brand new. And now I am informed they have added items to the line - canisters, napkin holders, tumblers - oh my! I have to get back to this place. Also, the workers there are FABULOUS! SO helpful and knowledgeable - they make the visit that much more enjoyable.

The slippers are located in the back of the store and there were many options for men. We knew what we were looking for and found a great pair right away. We were in and out fast. One worker looked at us but she never spoke to us or asked if we needed any assistance. I did not see any good deals even in the clearance section. Everything is marked high. Better deals can be found at other shoe stores.
