I love everything about the Container Store other than its prices! You can literally find all storage items here that you've ever dreamed of and many others you have never dreamed you could store in fun ways too! I especially love that Marie Kondo has a collaboration with The Container Store now as well! :) Everything is great here, but I definitely avoid coming here too often given the prices, but when the need arises for something either in a pinch or I'm looking for some storage that is cute and uniform, I definitely come here to take a peek at what they have either to purchase them or for inspiration on what styles I like best so that I can find it elsewhere on the internet for cheaper. Sorry to The Container Store for doing that, but they're just in that spot that's slightly and uncomfortably out of my budget to do a bunch of consistent shopping at for me!

I like the Container Store. It's one of my favorite shops in the United States. My husband and I can't get enough of this store. This shop for some reason has a different atmosphere. It might have been the day I went. But for some odd reason, associates aren't very friendly at all. They somehow felt a little dodgy to be honest. No eye contact, just look down and duck into an aisle. None of that, "Hello sir, welcome to such and such,,, can I help you find anything?" Nope,,, couldn't be bothered. I happen to know what I came in for, so I knew which direction to go. I would hate for someone's first time in this shop. God forbid if they need help finding something. Even the cashier when I was checking out was sort of disconnected. Didn't even ask if I was a POP member, (which I was btw.) I swear,, was it because of us? My shopping experience was borderline insulting. I guess I'll take my money to the Novi shop. They definitely know how to make a customer feel welcome. Thank you so much for reading my review. I hope this helps your decision making experience. Enjoy your awesome yelptastic day! (",)

Love that they had someone at the front door notifying everyone that they have wipes and hand sanitizer for their use and that they are credit card only. Very proactive. Inside the store is so fun - so many different things that fave me so many ideas. Show racks for the back of a door, canisters for the kitchen, and I even bought a cabinet for the garage. This place is very creative and fun to visit. Keep up the good work!

Overpriced. Overpriced. Overpriced. And did I forget to mention? This store is way overpriced.

Terrible customer service. No one greeted us when we came in or even asked if we needed help, which we did. Probably not coming back again

The store is full of eclectic and vibrant decor that will speak to the hearts of artists everywhere, ranging from clothing, to furniture, to toys and museum quality gifts. It has a variety of quirky finds that I've never seen before. The intention here is almost like a local gallery exalting each stunning piece of art, no matter how small. The pieces ranged from the very tiny porcelain dog, which was about the size of your thumb, to the very large bears, that were furry and taller than me. Colorful, diverse art dotted the walls and were displayed in all different living room themes for all different tastes and styles of home. This was a clever idea. You could picture the decor in your own home. "Buy local" is the intention here and deteriorating properties were bought up by the owner and given a stunning facelift to elevate the community. This was a closed down roller rink. There was also a cinema next door that turned to a gift shop and off beat eatery. The unique history of each is preserved in the original artifacts throughout. Being that this is art focused and unique, don't have the expectation of Walmart prices. Of course you're getting one-of-a-kind quality pieces that will make your heart sing when you see your selected art displayed proudly in your home. Leon & Lulu also will give you a discount for your birthday if you share that information. If you're in Ferndale, Clawson or Detroit, put this store on your must visit list.

If you're looking for something unique, funny, fun, or more of a traditional purchase then this place is for you. We were able to purchase some very cool gifts for friends and family that were tailored to their personality. The shop's staff was very friendly and helpful when we needed them and they were also pretty available when we needed someone even though they were a bit busy. As for the prices I would put them on par for a place that sells the selection that this place has. You can find some items that are cheaper (not cheaply made), and other items that are pretty high (saw a pillow for around $300 ). I will definitely be putting this place on my list of shops to go for the next time I need to shop for friends and family!

I also got a few ideas for possible crafts that I could make someday, like the gorgeous yet simple acorn twig wreath. I was very tempted to buy the silver and gold resin deer and am now thinking of ways to make it myself as a quarantine arts and crafts project. The prices are reasonable bordering on high end. For example, the glitter deer I admired costs $40. Service could be improved. Most of the sales associates were chatting by the register. No one offered assistance or said hello first. Overall, this is a fun shop for browsing when in downtown Rochester and I will stop by again.

We love coming in here and checking out the fun items during the holidays. They have such unique finds that fit your holiday mood. From decorations to kitchen wear, their decorating game is fire. They have so many gems to purchase for gifts or for yourself. I am not sure if they also offer personal designing services, but they would be amazing at that too. They even have small toys and gifts for kids. We found some indoor snow this time that the kids loved. They have the perfect holiday mugs, can't get enough mugs, but this is the perfect spot to get those unique decorations for your house that you won't see at the big box stores.

Text convo with a friend this evening:…read more Me: Unrelated to anything I just spent 2 hours at the Container Store and have never been happier. Friend: Wherever we can find peace! Ahh, peace. I don't know the meaning of the word. Though I'm trying! As a maximalist gal with ADHD in a small house I'm forever in search of an organizational and functional storage plan I can stick with. Through much introspection and many self help books I recently realized my issue is "if I can't see it, it doesn't exist." Which means I'm forever buying cans of black beans when what I really need is great northern and constantly getting takeout because "there's nothing in this house to eat." So, with this new clarity in hand, I've taken to overhauling my kitchen in the new year. And the Container Store has been clutch in providing solutions to my storage issues. A pantry that requires a step ladder to reach? How about a pull down spice rack? Deep drawers without dividers? How about stacking bins so I can use the vertical space, too? Expired baking ingredients from the last time I tried to reorganize but didn't realize until it was too late that the jars I put everything in don't stack effectively, leaving a teetering mess I've been afraid to disturb? How about a baking pantry storage set with equal sized widths for easy stacking? (And built in brown sugar softeners and powdered sugar sifters, too! Be still my heart!). Weird corner cabinets that are deep caves of awkward, oft unused space? Why not some pull out shelving storage? And so much more! Jar openers! Lemon keepers! Fancy pens! NOTEBOOKS AND PLANNERS! Omg. I haven't even begun to talk about the craft storage. What's not to love??? Well, ok. I guess the prices. Which can be high. But they carry many solutions I can't find anywhere else so sometimes I have to bite the bullet and pony up. I do my best to try and stick to their in-house products to save a bit of scratch tho. And becoming a rewards member will net you some solid coupons now and again. In fact, today I happened to have a 25% off coupon so I stocked up on those deep drawer organizers. It took me a while to find the right combo/configurations for our unusually sized cabinetry but I think I figured it out thanks to the countertop they have with grids to help you easily measure. Very handy. Staff here is lovely and ever so helpful. It's never a cheap visit here but it's always a beneficial one. And hey, thanks to my new pantry risers and lists of items we have taped to the inside door (another new trick!) I now know we have 7 cans of black beans, 4 of which are low sodium, and the last time I went to the grocery I got the right beans at last.
