To say that Barbi is a huge fan of these stores is a huge understatement. She's not just a fan, she thinks they're amazing. And in fact, we can spend two hours in one of these sometimes. We go to at least two of them a week and she has her favourites. This one is far from being one of her favourites, but she does usually find some good stuff in here and she just spent a while in here the other day, and she said that the service was pretty nice as well.

There is no honesty in doing business at this store. Maybe it's because of the location and the…read moreconsumer base but consistently the prices posted on the shelves are charged higher such as a item priced on the shelf as $6 but charged as $10 and then some random guy choosing not to honor the price displayed even after the cashier verified that the price on the shelf tag actually read $5 . I choose not to shop this store and suggest that anyone who does always check your prices and watch closely as items are scanned. It is completely unacceptable to rip off customers most of which can't afford such dirty dealings.

I was looking for makeup sponges for Lisa and her cat (her cat uses makeup sponges as toys) and artificial flowers. I didn't see any artificial flowers and the makeup sponges were a bit pricey. Even the reading glasses were $10 when I can get them for a dollar at Dollar Tree. Hmmm... I didn't really see any bargains, so... I left. Maybe I'll return later? Later ... I did return! I told Lisa that we should look for gardening supplies for the plants that she was gifted. I'm happy to report that Dollar General had potting soil ($5 for a good brand), shovels ($1), and pots with good drainage ($2)! I asked a friendly employee if they had any spray bottles and she said they were sold out - and maybe return in a couple days because a big shipment just arrived! That was nice of her to give good information! Lisa even got some mosquito repellent, and treats and toys for her cat! She saw a pot with a cover for about $10. It seemed to be a better deal than Goodwill (which had a scratched up covered pot for about the same price)! We will keep it in mind later on when we are ready to make curry!

The store has really great items that are reasonably priced. The store is clean and I love that. Everything is neatly placed and nothing is out of place. I can tell they care about the appearance of this store on the inside. It stated they were under new management. I hope the new management will work on the customer service. I went to buy one item, that same cashier said nothing. No greeting, no thanks for coming in, absolutely nothing. And started at me as I walked out. Please work on that with your team.

Nowadays, when I walk in, the sunglasses (a favorite purchase of mine) are nowhere to be found. I liked the sunglasses display when it was placed against the wall and it was easier to see the entire selection. Then, the sunglasses were moved to a vertical spinning display. And now, where exactly are the sunglasses?? Considering the fact I am also an accessories person, I found myself asking what's the deal with the wallet section? What happened to all the cool choices? Although I did like a couple of Anne Klein and Juicy Couture wallets, which I purchased recently, the other wallets were unremarkable and not on the level of past wallet options at this location. I do like the section with beauty items and soaps, but sometimes I've found the makeup is sometimes damaged by people who are eager to try the products. Clothing-wise, I think this location has been a disappointment lately, so I no longer care about looking for clothes here. So, what does that leave? The housewares section here is basic, but it is still possible to find something good - like picture frames, for example. And when you check out, sometimes the cashiers are really friendly and sometimes, you get a weird person with a subpar customer service disposition. I asked one cashier a question recently, and she answered. But she didn't answer my next question, and when I asked the same exact question again, she got an attitude. No Thank you! Improve this location, TJ Maxx folks, or I will be heading straight to Lazybrook/Timbergrove to visit the other TJ Maxx.

Apparently it scanned for $179 from $200. But this disgrace of a human is sitting there with a price tag from "the self" for 5 cents and is arguing that the store should honor that price trying to use the system. No one is that ignorant to not know that a coffee maker is not 5 cent. You can't even buy gum for 5 cent. Enough with clients trying to take advantage of businesses. I truly wish the manager had kicked her out, but she didn't. The woman wanted a "license" to steal. Shoplifting in disguise.
