Not to be confused with Fried Below, which is when you use your basement cooker to make breakfast. This 5B is not as well stocked as a few of the others that I've been to, but generally it's not bad. It's not as cheap as some of the dollar stores Barbi likes, such as Dollar Tree, but it has cooler stuff and some better stuff and a good selection of tech stuff there like I said not as much as some of the other locations.

Lack of costumer service, cashiers are so rude every time we go there, is not a pleasant experience during holiday's shopping.

I think the owner caught a catchy name, Alibaba Liquidation. No kidding. They sell imports from…read moreChina I'm huge quantities. They don't have display cases, but huge boxes of merchandise as seen on Amazon (not TV). I don't think it's related to the internationally known e-commerce website. Alibaba is also the main character from the famous Arabian folk tale. Any ways, as I was saying, don't think all products from China look cheap. They're seriously made for high end consumers. Like cell phone accessories brand LeYi. I never knew this brand until I bought a cell phone case from Amazon. They got unique design and functionality. Yesterday July 31 was their first day. I arrived around 3 pm. They were busy unloading and setting up the shop. There were few customers. Employees greeted everyone as we came in. Prices are still handwritten on the crates. I saw $1, $2, $3, $4, $5... But I saw nice stuff in the crates. Oh, they take cash and credit cards. I wasn't planning to stay long because I could overspend for trinkets. Some items can become customized gifts for businesses. I'll be back when we can safely meet in person. Because I will buy a bunch of stuff for my meetup giveaways. **Updated after my second visit and chatted with co-owner Jason** They have plan to expend this operation to 10 stores in Houston. I think it's a great concept. I wish them luck and I will be back every month to see new products.

This place has both, and despite its impressive array of goods from clothes to furniture, it's well organized and easy to navigate. I'm normally a neutral-color dresser but some of the clothes encourage me to step out of my comfort zone into some louder designs. Additionally, the walls are all lined with non-clothing items for sale -- books, movies, glassware, water bottles, and more. I don't think I've ever come a cross a thrift store with this much versatility. Out of the Closet is serious about HIV/AIDS advocacy and they prove it by putting their money where their mouth is. Like many other thrift stores in Montrose, you can expect marked up (but still fair) prices compared to the larger ones with piles upon piles of clothes to sift through. 96% of all proceeds at this store, however, go toward supporting the AIDS Healthcare Foundation. Free condoms are offered near the cashier counter; free HIV testing and a not-for-profit pharmacy sits in the back. The roots of thrifting inherently lie in supporting the community. This is usually accomplished through the affordability of everyday items, but this shop takes it to the next level by showing their dedication to safe sex and access to healthcare. Give this place a visit the next time you cruise through Westheimer -- they deserve your time more than you know.

Daiso has a lot of items that are super cute, such as plushies, stationary, makeup, pet toys, household items, and more. They also have an awesome snack station and a good amount of electronics accessories, so there's usually something suitable for everyone that they might find interesting/ useful. I have a lot of the kitchen items such as their dishes, stovetop liners, and chopsticks, but I also enjoy their home accessories such as their house slippers, plushies, and stationary. The snack area always has a lot of fun options to munch on during my trip back home! They also have excellent car accessories, so I have even purchased car cushions from here (they're pandas!). Overall, the items are usually in the $1-3 range, but some items may go up to about $10 based on what it is!

It's Japan's version of $1 store except in the US, it's $1.75 and up. The quality to me is better than the regular dollar tree or 99 cents stores. The store is very clean and organized. There are some basic items that they carry all year and then specialty things that come and go. Some of the sections: gardening, toys, makeup and hair, electronics, storage, kitchenware, pets, snacks, camping, etc. You can grab some necessities as well as whimsical things. The staff are very friendly. Def one of my fave spots.

This is a good Dollar Store that is not related to all the big chains as far as I can tell. It's smaller and more clustered and less organized, and you'll definitely find some good deals in here. The one problem with dollar stores - which you might agree with - is that you go in here looking for one thing and come out buying 15 things, so you don't really save money unless you come for specific items and leave with those specific items. But when does that ever happen?

The look from outside has an attractive white window sheer with English phrases in red and hours in bilingual. When I walked in, it was like wall to wall of stuff to choke me. I wouldn't want to be in here when earthquake happens. The aisles are narrow. It reminds me of a third world country. It's definitely not a place for claustrophobic. But for me, I'm a dollar store junkie. This is a shopping heaven. If this is your first time, plan to spend a half hour to browse. My first visit was short. I only wanted to capture the essence of this store to add the biz on Yelp. Since it's right next to Fiesta Mart, you'll find me digging though the piles of goodies often. Here's an advice from me - shop with common sense. Not everything at a dollar store is cheap. Compare the prices with other retail chains. If you regretted with a purchase, no worry. It's just $1.25. Return policy is exchange only, no refunds. **55th review of 2017**
