I think the owner caught a catchy name, Alibaba Liquidation. No kidding. They sell imports from…read moreChina I'm huge quantities. They don't have display cases, but huge boxes of merchandise as seen on Amazon (not TV). I don't think it's related to the internationally known e-commerce website. Alibaba is also the main character from the famous Arabian folk tale. Any ways, as I was saying, don't think all products from China look cheap. They're seriously made for high end consumers. Like cell phone accessories brand LeYi. I never knew this brand until I bought a cell phone case from Amazon. They got unique design and functionality. Yesterday July 31 was their first day. I arrived around 3 pm. They were busy unloading and setting up the shop. There were few customers. Employees greeted everyone as we came in. Prices are still handwritten on the crates. I saw $1, $2, $3, $4, $5... But I saw nice stuff in the crates. Oh, they take cash and credit cards. I wasn't planning to stay long because I could overspend for trinkets. Some items can become customized gifts for businesses. I'll be back when we can safely meet in person. Because I will buy a bunch of stuff for my meetup giveaways. **Updated after my second visit and chatted with co-owner Jason** They have plan to expend this operation to 10 stores in Houston. I think it's a great concept. I wish them luck and I will be back every month to see new products.

Very happy with my purchases , you can find good items with affordable prices. Definitely…read morerecommend to everyone !

Daiso has a lot of items that are super cute, such as plushies, stationary, makeup, pet toys, household items, and more. They also have an awesome snack station and a good amount of electronics accessories, so there's usually something suitable for everyone that they might find interesting/ useful. I have a lot of the kitchen items such as their dishes, stovetop liners, and chopsticks, but I also enjoy their home accessories such as their house slippers, plushies, and stationary. The snack area always has a lot of fun options to munch on during my trip back home! They also have excellent car accessories, so I have even purchased car cushions from here (they're pandas!). Overall, the items are usually in the $1-3 range, but some items may go up to about $10 based on what it is!

It's Japan's version of $1 store except in the US, it's $1.75 and up. The quality to me is better than the regular dollar tree or 99 cents stores. The store is very clean and organized. There are some basic items that they carry all year and then specialty things that come and go. Some of the sections: gardening, toys, makeup and hair, electronics, storage, kitchenware, pets, snacks, camping, etc. You can grab some necessities as well as whimsical things. The staff are very friendly. Def one of my fave spots.

It is in the former Target store at the intersection of Bellaire and Hwy 6 S. You could buy Ecuadorian chips, snack from other countries, cups, etc... (stuff you can find in a dollar store) in large amounts and variety here. If you need a lot of things cheap and on the go, this is a good one-stop shop. It's the Wal-Mart of the dollar store, almost. :-)

I've been shopping there for years and always get nice greetings from the staff and the owners. Because the store is huge; take your time looking - you might find great gift ideas; they had beautiful glass decanters with stoppers, which I filled with ordinary vegetable oil, added dried oriental spices in each bottle, wrapped pretty ribbons around the neck and VOILA: great Christmas presents for under $2.00 each. I've found nice T-shirts and embellished them with rhinestones and flowers! I buy remnant rug pieces for the car, door mats and for outdoor furniture. The only things I do not buy are the beauty products; I had a bad allergic reaction to eye makeup! Check out the school/office supplies; great binders and organizers - and oh yeah, don't forget to check the largest selection of picture/photo frames in Houston. One more idea; get a pack of Bamboo skewers, both short and long. Use them in cleaning small cracks, in your car, garage, crafts and you'll see...hundred other uses! And if you need spare reading glasses; Jumbo Dollar has plenty! ENJOY ! Leena
