This visit I was returning merchandise, but found a really cute clutch on sale for $7.99 and a random pack of Kleenex 8 pack pocket tissue for 2 bucks. The men's section looked fully stocked and had a much better selection of shoes than women's. The store was packed with merchandise for the most part. They have a really nice plus size section. They need help in the dress department. They have a small home-goods section which some cool pieces. The clearance rack was full, with an abundance of mostly boring sweaters. They entice you with candy and sweets in the check out line. There was only one cashier working the register, but she was quick and efficient. Security is very active at this location, as stated in previous reviews. My only complaint is that it's located in a super, dicey area of town, be vigilant. Not a place I would go often, but definitely a hidden gem.....during daylight hours.

They have a lot of shoe stores, but they are not packin' heat in there. A lot of clothin' stores as well. Typically what some would call "hood gear". The only major retail store is the JCPenny and Rue21. It also has a Target connected to it. I mostly ever come here for the Target. Most of the clothin' store workers are women, and they are always nice. A little too flirtatious just to make a sale. Which isn't all that bad because most are gorgeous. But yeah 2/3 out of 5.

It has all of the furniture and patio furniture from closed Big Lots in Alexandria. Lots of furniture. Last year in May, the Alexander is store sold out of patio sets. I rely on Big Lots for inexpensive paper towels, toilet paper, soap, pet supplies and food, coffee, and weird items. They have a great toy selection, too. You have to dig but it's there. The store is well organized and pretty clean. I've been in some Big Lots where things are on the floor and the shelves are messy. The staff was very helpful. The cashier in early May added another coupon to the one that I brought. Great customer service. I drove out to the Waldorf store once. It was okay but the parking lot was kind of sketchy. The shopping center is right off the Beltway. It has a lot of great stores including Aldi next door. Lots of parking. Recommend.

The Sephora looked to be pretty stocked, and I dug how they have created measures to ensure everyone's safety by having selected entry and exit points. Regarding online orders, the pick-up area is on the second floor, the same place where they handle returns. When I first came upstairs, there was a fairly long line, and one person behind the register. They have places on the floor directing people where to stand, and plexiglass between the the workers and the customers. My order was there as expected, I was asked to check it prior to leaving to make sure it was correct and provided a paper receipt. When I came back a couple of days later to return, I didn't have any issues getting my money back, despite having made my payment with Paypal online. Every time that I interacted with someone within the store, be it a customer service person, or someone to simply ask a question regarding the location of something, they were polite and helpful. As I was leaving, they made an announcement regarding closing at 7p. No problems here.

I had to return to the Silver Hill location THREE times because items were missing from my order. After the third visit, I opened my bags at home and discovered that even more expensive items were still missing. At that point, I was beyond frustrated. I contacted the store expecting management to take responsibility for the error. The initial response was simply, "sorry." I had to ask, "How do you plan to compensate me for my time and for your mistake?" Only then was I offered a store credit. The issue is not just that a mistake was made--mistakes happen. The problem is the lack of attention to detail, accountability, and concern for the customer's time. I paid upfront for a service that was not completed correctly, and then I had to make multiple trips to correct THEIR mistake. In all my professional years of having clothes dry-cleaned, this is the worst experience I have ever had. The work ethic and quality control at this location are extremely disappointing. It seems they have a high volume of business, but high volume should never be an excuse for poor service. Customers: COUNT AND VERIFY EVERY SINGLE ITEM before leaving this location. Then check your bags again when you get home. Unfortunately, I learned this lesson the hard way. I would not recommend this location to anyone. Silver Hill needs to do much better when it comes to accuracy, accountability, and customer service. First visit. Last visit. Zero stars if that were an option.
