I br in a patc Velcro for my work hat. it was attached upside down. It's seems like the seamstress didn't check the pattern before affix it

Excellent experience, will be back! I submitted 9 items, including 2 suits and I received texts and emails every step of the process; I was even able to have Door Dash delivery my order, which was very quick, very reasonably priced and with great customer service, I would highly recommend read more

If I could give zero stars, I would. This was my first and last time using this dry cleaner, and the experience was absolutely unacceptable. I had to return to the Silver Hill location THREE times because items were missing from my order. After the third visit, I opened my bags at home and discovered that even more expensive items were still missing. At that point, I was beyond frustrated. I contacted the store expecting management to take responsibility for the error. The initial response was simply, "sorry." I had to ask, "How do you plan to compensate me for my time and for your mistake?" Only then was I offered a store credit. The issue is not just that a mistake was made--mistakes happen. The problem is the lack of attention to detail, accountability, and concern for the customer's time. I paid upfront for a service that was not completed correctly, and then I had to make multiple trips to correct THEIR mistake. In all my professional years of having clothes dry-cleaned, this is the worst experience I have ever had. The work ethic and quality control at this location are extremely disappointing. It seems they have a high volume of business, but high volume should never be an excuse for poor service. Customers: COUNT AND VERIFY EVERY SINGLE ITEM before leaving this location. Then check your bags again when you get home. Unfortunately, I learned this lesson the hard way. I would not recommend this location to anyone. Silver Hill needs to do much better when it comes to accuracy, accountability, and customer service. First visit. Last visit. Zero stars if that were an option. read more

Up the street from where I live and always have had a great experience with the workers. Mostly there are younger employees but they are always very respectful and one even asked if I needed help to bring my items to my car. I love that!! Will continue to frequent here as they do their job with customer service that many other places do not have. Great job zips! read more

I brought my skirt and dress to your location on Tuesday for alterations and was informed that they would be ready on Monday. When I did not receive a call on the promised date, I returned to the store the following Tuesday to check on the status. At that time, I was told that the tailor had not been in and that I would receive a call once the alterations were completed. The following day, I received another call stating that an additional $65 was required, after I had already paid $55, because I was allegedly charged incorrectly initially. I was also informed that this pricing issue was the reason the work had not been completed. This experience has been very disappointing. The lack of communication and unexpected price increase after services were agreed upon reflects poorly on your business practices. read more

Way too expensive for 3 pieces $88. one suit and a button on a pair of jeans. Never again will I ever go back there.

I brought in several pieces to be pressed, I was not pleased. All of the items although somewhat pressed were still wrinkled. If I return I guess I'll have to ask for a hard press with starch. read more

I am new in the District Heights area. My daughter suggested Zips Cleaners. Outstanding service and my clothes were ready the next day for pick-up. I'd never, ever experience this turn around before. read more

DO NOT GO TO THIS LOCATION!! Trust me, save yourself some time & money! They messed several of my Polo shirts. To make matters worse, the mgr told me that I might have put the stains on my shirt!! WTF?? Plus, you still have to iron your clothes after you pick them up!! But when you come back & ask them to fix them, they get an attitude with you! They won't get another $1 from me! The funny thing is, I have to come here one last time to pick up my shirts that I just brought back for the 3rd time for a REDO, because they put a bunch of stains on my shirts! Would have given 0 stars if I could for the mgr attitude!! UPDATE, I ADDED PHOTOS!! read more

This was my first time using Zips located on Silver Hill Road in Suitland. My garments did not get cleaned as I expected. 5 garments had to be returned. After I pick up the other garments. I know dry cleaned clothes when I get it done by a better establishment. I will not be back. You pay in-advance, just to be disappointed. I felt like I got ripped off. read more

Everyone loves affordable prices and that's the draw for zips... The problem is your clothes will not be cleaned. You're essentially paying to have your clothes pressed. I got a t shirt back and it smelled as bad as it did when I gave it to them . read more

Reasonable prices!!! Jackets came out looking brand new!!!! Just all around amazing job

I went to the one in District Heights and I am Not really happy with my dry cleaning. My dresses were still static cling and had some lint and strings on it from god knows what. My dresses were inside out and they didn't look much different from the way I took them in there. My shirt still had a little stain on it that could be removed because I just removed it. I feel like I wasted money because I need to take my dresses to another cleaners so they will not cling together. This was my second time the first really didn't count because it was my brand new bridesmaid dress. I guess I'll go back to the cleaners I've been going to. Not worth my $$$$- tread lightl! read more

Horrible service I will never return to this location again lack of management horrible customer service they lied right to my face very disappointing read more

I would not come here if I did not have to. Once I am able to get my own stuff to press my uniforms myself I promise you I will not. The customer service is lacking. In the morning the staff is amazing but the afternoon staff are Spanish women and they are very rude. Now all Spanish women aren't rude. But these women OMG. It takes so much out of me. I will leave my uniforms for until the next day to not have to deal with them. The professionalism is lacking. I spoke with the GM Justin and he did NOTHING. I explained to him and he even heard the women his employee the way she was speaking to me what did he do nothing. I know he did nothing because she continues to be nasty when I come into the cleaners. THE MORNING STAFF IS AMAZING. THE PROBLEM IS THE EVENING STAFF! read more

If you have nice clothes and want them properly cared for, don't come here! I took a jacket there WITH NO STAINS just to be cleaned from odors and it was returned with multiple stains on the front. Also, on multiple occasions I requested sweaters folded over hangers and each time I picked up ny clothes, half the order was wrong. When I brought this to the attention of the employee helping me he said there was nothing he could do and he refused to simply fold them and put them on hangers while I was there. Don't expect the customer service to reflect they care, it's clearly just a job to them. This is a clear example of you get what you pay for with this location. read more

Zips Cleaners District Heights has improved Tremendously! They have signs which tells you the way to go and stand. They are polite, and know your name and sometime calls you out by your name and make you feel part of the family or special. The cleaning is very great and colossal. And they do not pick and choose customers that they want to wait on. The serve with a big smile on their face and the smiles chases the blues away when you reach the counter. Awesome. My cotton shawl when bought it in was cream color white! The whole color has changed to biege. The Store manager was very nasty. she kept insisting to tell me that the color was beige. I told her about this color changed completely from what it was when i bought it in. I know the color of my top. This was was very upsetting. I asked her what she was going to do about it? She kept say that it was beige, when i bought it in. I asked her for her name she refused to give me her name and said she is the Store manager. I insisted on something needed to be done about my item. She gave me 2.99 refund. I told her that i was never coming back! She told me that she was glad! She said fine that I "never" come back again.DO NOT BRING BRING YOUR ITEMS TO THIS PLACE. as I was leaving dissatisfied, another customer was complaining about there white shirt not being in there group of things, when they has gotten home. On April 25, 2020, I went to Zips Dry Cleaners-District Heights to pick up an Ivory Cloud Rachel Marcell Mix Lace Dress that I had dropped off for dry cleaning. The dress was stark white at the top and bottom before I dropped it off at Zips Dry Cleaners. When I went to Zips Dry Cleaners-District Heights to pick it up on April 25, 2020, the dress was white at the bottom and blue at the top, with blue streaks on the top and white splotches on the top. Attached are the photos of how the dress looked on April 25, 2020 after Zips Dry Cleaners turned it blue at the top. I spoke with the Manager who said that she would try to redo the dress. I inquired about compensation for the dress if Zips was unable to fix the dress, but the Manager said that she was not sure about that. I left the dress at Zips Dry Cleaners and returned on May 9, 2020 to pick up the dress again. When I arrived on May 9, 2020, the dress was lightened from blue to grey at the top. The Manager said the owner would call me. I sent an email to the owner. I didn't receive a call but I did receive an email on May 12th which went to my spam box and I did not see until May 27th. I followed up again on May 27th to check on the status. Zips replied saying they tried to bleach the dress blamed the color of the dress on a manufacturer defect. They want me to contact the manufacturer which they say will take 6-8 weeks. What manufacturer defect turns a completely white dress blue with white splotches? The entire customer service experience has been extremely insulting. They refuse to take responsibility for their actions and want to pass the buck to the manufacturer. They fail to acknowledge that they turned the dress blue and were only able to lighten the dress to light grey. Think twice before putting anything in this cleaners, especially white items. read more

Hello, I've never had an issue of service or cleanliness of my clothes but it would be nice to have more than just one person working the register in the mornings. It's a peak time for persons who have to go to work but are stopped by just having one person at the register. Also it's an easy burnout for your employees. read more

Went there to get my dry cleaning and they lost one of my shirts and was so nonchalant about it. Basically just dismissing me with no real explanation or follow up or anything. Thanks for nothing Zips definitely not coming back. read more

In late April of 2023 I brought in 2 suits and 6 shirts for cleaning on a Friday with pickup for Saturday. Long story short 5 of the 6 shirts were lost and the staff there could care less. They gave me some bogus service ticket set for me to have to come back in a month to check and see if they found my shirts. This is entirely unacceptable, and I'm in talks with legal representation to what case can be made. I mean it was well north of 600+ dollars worth of shirts that they lost and don't seem to care about. If my legal team comes back to me saying I've got a possible case then my intent is to bring this company into litigation. Zips will be held accountable, and made to do right by there customers. read more

I've searched long and hard for a dry cleaner who could actually CLEAN my items without damaging buttons, missing spots, or charging an arm and a leg. I went to this zips location on Saturday afternoon to drop off several items and was greeted instantly with great customer service. I was then impressed at how inexpensive my total for all the items I had were. The gentlemen who assisted me got me in and out in less than 5 mins. I went back this Monday to get my items, and although it was a bit of a line for pick up, they moved quickly to get everyone taken care of. When I got home to review my items, I could not believe the attention to detail they took. All my items were spotless, pressed amazingly and NONE of my buttons were damaged or broken. A jean jacket that I gave them that was pretty dirty initially, now looked BRAND NEW. So brand new I almost thought it was the wrong jacket, I forgot the original color LOL. There was one shirt that was cleaned but a spot could not be removed, but they made sure to place a note on the shirt indicating that they took extra care to clean the shirt but to avoid damaging it, they couldn't get it out. No biggie. I give this location 5 stars! Keep up the good work, customer service, and excellent prices! I Won't be going to any other dry cleaners going forward. Signed, new customer. read more

My first, and definitely my last, visit to this location was absolutely horrible. I put in 11 items( 3 wool coats, 5 wool sweaters, 1 pair of wool pants, 1 pair of regular dress slacks and a silk blouse) in on Monday evening , March 1, 2021 and picked them up today March 4, 20221. I really wanted to like this cleaner because it was local, reasonably priced and supposedly used eco-friendly solvents and cleaners. In fact, if you research Zips they claim to have been a green dry cleaner before "going green" was popular and that they don't use Perc, but this has proven to be a BOLD FACE LIE! I just received my clothing back and ALL of my items reek of that PERC smell, in addition to a more repulsive smell reminiscent of a dirty sour mop! Furthermore, 3 of the 5 wool sweaters I brought in came back extremely shrunken. This is absolutely unacceptable. Even if they offered, I would not be willing to give this cleaners another opportunity to put harmful chemicals into my clothes, and damage them more than they already did. Noting but a FULL REFUND, for all of my items, will suffice! read more
