They ruined a pair of my dress pants! Returned them with a mystery blue stain. Ok no problem. Returned them to fix. Received them back with the original stain removed but now with a blue stain in another place. Sent them back and was told they can't get the stain out. I've had these pannus for over 6 years so it's not like I can replace them That was Blu the first time this had happened and that's why I'm no longer taking my clothes there. Since it is under new management, I am reserving judgement until I get a few things done there. I got dry cleaning done a few months back and it was as good as always. Just took our Winter comforter in for dry cleaning prior to storage; I also have a bit of stitching I want to get done on a shearling sheepskin. New ownership, literally been going here since I was kid for my grandparents & parents alike. Brought pair of pants & shorts thru to be serviced. Upon checking my items before leaving noticed 2 burn holes on the back of my jean leg. He tried to tell me it was there already. I wanna know what scenario can a cigarette but land on the back of my pants let &me not know burn through with out me noticing or feeling any pain. All I did was show it to him & quickly doge all accountability & blamed me the customer . With intentionality I won't be back ! New manager...the gentleman there is extremely rude...I have been going there for several years and never experienced this horrible rude and nasty service before...took my whites to get cleaned..one was new and the other wasn't...they inspected it with me before I left. I paid for the cleaning and told them I will send my son to pick it up the next day so I left....7 mins into my drive I got a phone call from the cleaners me to come back to inspect a stain...I asked what stain...the gentleman said he will not clean until I come back to look at it...when I got there he showed me a stain on the new outfit which was not there and said he can't remove this...I asked him how the stain got there he said I brought it like that...if I brought it like that which was new and had already inspected the outfit would I not see it ?...so I asked him to show me his video from the time I got in to the time I left and this man became so belligerent asking me to call the police and told me he will refund me and to GET OUT And never Come back... I told him not to yell at me because he has damaged my outfit and now wants to pin it on me...he showed me part of the video and never showed the complete video.. I left and said that he will see Me again.. No one should go to a place like this with such bad service...if you want to make money in a business you need to treat your customers in a fair and respectful manner because those paying customers pay your bills for you...if everyone stops coming to you you will go out of business....if there was a prompt to rate this zero or minus zero I will never ever go there again and have informed my family not to use them read more

She constantly changes the price every time for the same alteration. When you ask why? She speaks to you in Mandarin. I stopped in one day to inquire about getting a couple pieces fitted. Both ladies in there were so kind and patient. There is a small fitting area where i tried on my clothes and the lady came and took my measurements. She asked what day I needed them and quoted me a price. Top notch service! When I brought my clothes in (a large pile of my husbands dress shirts.. don't judge me), the guy at the counter took the time to look through each shirt and mark stains and problem areas. It was at that moment I was sold! He rang everything up and gave me a discount. Y'all, when I tell you I live for discounts! It's not over! So I go to pick the shirts up, 3 separate plastic things worth, and the guy walks them to my car and hangs them for me. A tear formed in my left eye and I knew I had to tell y'all about it! Tried this cleaners out for the first time after the cleaners down the street from me wrecked my mom's favorite outfit. Mount Oak is really good. They clean onsite as opposed to sending your clothes elsewhere to be cleaned. I had two expensive, white dresses of different fabrics and shades of white cleaned here and they did an excellent job. The garments were well cleaned, no loose strings or anything. Also, the shades of white returned like new. This will be my go to cleaners for now. They do a very good job (and yes, you should expect to pay more to ensure you get your cloths back in excellent condition). read more

Love this dry cleaning business. Family-run and wonderful owners. I took my clothes here for 9 years when I lived in Bowie. We recently moved up to the Crofton area and I have yet to find a comparable business...I might have to start driving back down to Bowie just for dry cleaning! Prices are standard and maybe even cheaper than other nearby options. During the 9 years that I was a customer of Mount Oak, I only had two issues: 1) we got the wrong shirt back one time, but the owners found the other shirt after a couple weeks and refunded the cost of cleaning (and the owner had offered to pay for cost of a brand new shirt if they had been unable to find my husband's shirt), and 2) iron imprint/burn on a shirt, which they immediately apologized for, fixed and paid for (I didn't think it would be possible to remove the "burn" stain, but they did completely!). Owners handled both issues perfectly, and we very apologetic. Employees always offered to take clothes to my car too and in fact, insisted on it when I was pregnant. I have used this dry cleaner for tailoring for about 5 years. I was a good custsomer. I brought in 2 pairs of mens pants to shorten. My husband came in, tried the pants on, and the seamstress marked them to shorten and take in the waist slightly. When the 2 pairs of brand new pants came back the hem was cut off way to short. The pants came back cut so short they were ABOVE the ankle. When I brought them back the owner was extremely RUDE. She argued that I should have immediately brought them back because she could have taken the extra material and sewed it back on. WHO on earth would want to wear pants where the hem was added on after it was cut short???? This is khaki material. You absolutely would have been able to tell it was sewn on. Besides that this was for work at an office. The ownere said bring them back and she would have the hem lowered. She refused to at least reimburse me for the HACK JOB they did. So I took the pants back and the lowered the hem but, of course, they were now at the ankle and STILLWAY too short to use for anything. She refused to refund my money at least. So it cost me for 2 pair of brand new pants and the cost of tailoring that was a HACK JOB. Don't bring anyting you care about here. read more

I have been going to them for years, they offer excellent and prompt service at a fair price. The thing I appreciate most is how well they treat their customers. They have gotten to know me so when I pull up in my car they are usually already going to get my clothes by time I walk in. When my wife stops by to pick up our things and it's a big load, they carry it out to the car for her. One time their credit card machine was down and I didn't have cash, they said to just pay for it the next time I come in. What other place is going to do that for you? Had some alterations done and picked them up this weekend; I'm so happy with the results! I had several skirts taken in, sleeves lengthened on a few blazers and some of those taken in, as well as some dry cleaning. Everything fits so much better, and the buttons/hooks that were adjusted were done perfectly! I'd asked them to clean a blazer that held lint like crazy; it was returned to me in beautiful condition. I've been going to this company for years, both with the current owners and the previous ones. They are polite, give prompt and effective service. Their prices are reasonable. e.g. $2 to launder, starch and press a dress shirt. They rarely break any buttons on your clothes unlike another local drycleaners that I used to go to. Was my go to and trusted cleaner for 2+ years.. cleaning & alterations until a recent suit jacket sleeve that needed shortening. Expensive suit that they've worked on before. In doing the alterations they changed some very key design elements without asking me and messed up some other things which could be easily corrected. When I questioned it, they said this is how they handle all such items. It wasn't as much that they messed up but how unprofessionally they handled the situation. Language barrier was another issue. I told them I wouldn't pay for the alterations which only made things worse. They're more expensive vs alternatives but kept going for the service. Probably still fine for simple cleaning as long as nothing goes wrong. Needless to say I will not be returning. read more

This cleaners use to be my staple store until they shrunk my $500 dress 2 sizes and pretended not to understand my complaint and refused to correct the problem because of the material. The onsite workers refused to call the manager because they said he was on free personal time. If you have high end clothing DO NOT take your precious jewels to the Mount Oak Cleaners in Bowie, MD. They wash your clothes that are suppose to be dry cleaned. They also damage your items. I am only giving them one star because they are no stars to depict the quality of service they provide. Very horrible experience! I went to this dry cleaners which is located right next door to my home. I had 5 T-shirts and 2 simple white button up church shirts. The rude lady handed me a ticket for $40.00 !!!! I asked how much were they charging me to clean 5 T-shirts and 2 simple button up church shirts. She said $2.00 a piece for the church shirts and $5.00 a piece for the T-shirts. Who in there right mind would pay $5.00 to wash a T-shirt ? The cost to wash the T-shirts was close to the cost to actually purchase the shirt. I then asked her for my T-shirts back and said I would wash them myself at home with my washing machine. I said she could clean the 2 church shirts but I wanted to take my T-shirts home and clean them myself. She then went and grabbed my 5 T-shirts and my 2 church shirts and threw them at me saying you take everything and get out. This price gouging overcharging rude racist lady actually started yelling at me in whatever language they speak. I said maam I am not yelling or being rude but I feel $5.00 to clean a simple T-shirt is way too much. After she balled up my clothes and threw them at me I just wanted to leave. I then drove to ZIPS drycleaners where all garments are $2.00 dollars. They charged me $17.00 to clean the same garments and they were ready that same day. Mount Oak Cleaners is a horrible rip off.
