I should've turned around then when I was asked to sign it, but I thought, I only have two comforters to have cleaned, what harm can be done. Ummm, WRONG! Those fools messed up one of my comforters!!! When I brought it in, it was full of color with burgundy and gold flowers, but when they brought it out, it was completely faded! I literally wanted to jump over the counter and karate chop the manager in his throat when he informed me that the waiver covered fading, lost buttons, shrinking and 35 other things that could possibly occur. So of course, I received nothing back for the terrible fading on my comforter. DEEP SIGH!!! I have to kick myself, because this is not my normal cleaners and the only reason I went was because they had a reasonable price to have comforters cleaned. I guess the quality reflects the price...lesson learned. What's amazing is they had a line almost out the door with people holding arm fulls of clothes. No way on this earth would I have this "death trap" of a cleaners clean any of my socks, let alone my clothes. My dry cleaning spot! Currently $1.99 per garmnet (though it used to be $1.79) and they do a quality job. They are also environmentally friendly since they do offer Wet Cleanings for no extra charge. They now clean comforters and blankets as well as leather and suede...of course the price of these services are way over $1.99. You're looking at $20 minimum. I've been getting my dress clothes cleaned here for years, plan to continue to, and recommend that you give it a try some time if you don't. read more

They've got new name now. They're called ASAP Cleaners. I've been coming here for some time now, but I can't believe what just happened to me. I bought in three dress shirts for cleaning, and the manager rang me up for $6.89. I thought this was a little high, seemed like I never paid that much for a few shirts. I asked him "did the prices go up?" I had noticed the name change, and thought well, new prices too. "No" he answered. When I came to pick up the shirts, I noticed their menu...with prices. Laundered shirts are only $1.19. Obviously he charged me for dry cleaning, and not laundry. I asked him about it. His response was, "I depend on the customer to tell me what they want." I said, well I asked you about the prices when I bought them in! He told me, well...next time....? NEXT TIME??? What about my money, THIS TIME? He refused to refund me the difference. I asked him if he knew the shirts wouldn't be dry cleaned. He told me "I don't know what goes on back there." This is the manager. He's been working there for years. Long story short. The buttons on one suit were gone and the pants on the other has burn marks that wouldn't come off. I will never again bring my suits here again. If I felt it was appropriate to curse in a Yelp review, this would be the review. I have dropped dry cleaning off here 3 times. The first time was good. Clothes came out clean and fresh. I sent a white, puffy down jacket that was almost brown from dirt and it returned perfectly white. That was in 2012. The second time was OK. I dropped the bf's clothes off and we checked the item on the spot when we picked up. It didn't look completely clean. The manager apologized, grabbed the item and ran to the back to fix it. He emerged 5 minutes later and it was clean. So, OK maybe that was a fluke. This was early 2013. Now, I'm preparing to travel in Dec 2013 and I notice my white, puffy down jacket definitely needs a cleaning again. We run it over, pick it up the next day but it's night and I didn't throughly check it on the spot. When I get home, the jacket not only looks like it hadn't been cleaned at all, they have "damaged" stickers tacked all over it (yet there was no damage, it was just dirty) and there is an added foul smell that wasn't there before. The dry cleaners had closed, the next day was a holiday, and I had to fly out immediately the day after that. Since I wouldn't be able to get it cleaned before I left, I just let it go, and at only 2 bucks I didn't bother to call for a refund later. However, I will never return. Yes, it's cheap, but they don't seem to like to clean clothes here. Judging by the other reviews, I'd say the first time you come they make sure you get good service, then once they think they got you, it's "Oh who cares!" I don't have time for that. DO NOT GO TO THIS DRY CLEANING!!!! This is probably the worst dry cleaning place I have ever used. - They damage your clothing/garments. I have clothes that came out burnt, ripped, loose hem and melted/lost buttons. I was in a meeting, and my dress was bothering me. After the meeting I checked the hem of my dress, and there was a melted button, with a pointy end, sticking out and piercing my skin. This dress does not have a button. So another customer lost a button and now it melted and sticking on my dress. That's just one example, there's many more to tell. - They lose you clothing/garments. They don't just misplace them, like 'oh, will find it for you', they give it to someone else and you will never ever see your clothes ever. - They give you other customers' clothing/garments. This is similar to the point I just said earlier, not only they lose your clothing, they give you other customers' clothing. How bad is that?! I came home one time with a navy suit. The top and bottom belonged to two different customers; neither was mine. Where was my suit?! Had to go back, told them I couldn't accept these merchandize because it didn't belong to me, (I want my suit)? They took back the merchandize but I never saw my suit again. I came back a few times to tell them I have not received the suit, and they insisted they already gave it to me. I had to re-tell the story, but I was talking to deaf ears. - They have a very rude and unprofessional owner/manager/leader. Need not to say more. Therefore, employees are rude, unfriendly and are trained not to care. I was telling them about the burnt blouse I was just picking. What happened, how did it get burnt? Their response was 'you gave it to us in that condition'. Ha, funny, I'm giving you a blouse to dry clean knowing that it was burnt and will never ever use it again. Even the Salvation Army will not accept this blouse. When I was asking for more explanation, all of a sudden he said, "No speak English." You gotta be kidding me right. We were just having a conversation and I believe it was American-English. Oh by the way, they didn't even try to hide the blouse, it was the first garment you see and apparently it was dry cleaned even though it was burnt. Figures. I have many more experience with this place, but I had enough. True, they are the cheapest dry cleaning in the area, that's all you get and you get what you paid for. Lesser price, lower labor, unprofessional staff and the outcome - POOR QUALITY! I would rather pay a higher dry cleaning rate, guaranteeing that my clothes are taken care of and properly dry-cleaned and the people value my business. This place is HORRIBLE! Poor quality service and customer service. Dirty, hot and poorly ventilated. It's like a sweat shop. They donated my items, falsely claimed the called me to tell me. They did not. I asked for proof of a call to me because I could show all of my incoming call records, they could not. But continued to make the statement that it was their policy to do. All I needed was light cleaning and not only did I pay $35 it took them almost a month to get them back. They didn't tell me that they send them out to somebody else to clean and than take absolutely no responsibility for the damage this person does. Not sure if this is THE worst dry cleaners in the world, but they're certainly close to it. Not only is the place dirty and the working conditions for the staff close to unbearable, but the service and the quality of their sole product (dry cleaning) is horrible and that's an understatement. The first time I was there the manager guaranteed my stuff to be done by 10am the following day. I know he went out of his way to make sure it would be done since that's not the normal delivery time so I was excited. However, when I got there the next day at 11am (gave them some time just in case), not only were my clothes not done, but the two people I spoke to knew nothing about the manager's guarantee to expedite my dry cleaning. Since that was something out of the ordinary for their delivery time, I figured it may have just been a miscommunication that fell through the cracks so I decided to give them the benefit of the doubt and try again. How hard could it really be to dry clean a shirt? I got two shirts dry cleaned my next visit and both were NOT cleaned. They were pressed but the neck was all dirty and there was a spot on the back that was not there when I brought it in. I have not returned since. However, today my best friend took me with her to pick up her stuff, to my dismay, it was this dry cleaner. I mentioned she should check her clothes before we left and sure enough none of it was clean. There were still stains in 2 garments and another one had new stains that weren't there when she dropped it off. To top it all off, they put two safety pins through her shorts ($150 designer shorts). But who cares about how much they were, why are you putting holes in people's clothes to begin with? Worst I've ever been to and I definitely won't go back. This place is absolutely horrible. We dropped off suits to be cleaned a few days before a viewing. The girl who took the clothes told us they would be ready the next day, and she assured us she understood the circumstances of our needing them cleaned quickly. Recent snow closed them for a day, and our clothes got "pushed back." Of course, it was the day of the viewing. The MANAGER began arguing with me when I went in to get our clothes, and they weren't ready. He didn't even bother to check if any of the garments were actually done (actually, some of them WERE done). Further, he informed me it was my job to tell a manager of our extenuating circumstances (and obviously not his employees responsibility - because what are people hired for?). Cesar, the manager, continued to argue with me, basically berating me and telling me I was wrong. The customer is not right here. Avoid this place like the plague. The worst dry cleaners ever! We have gone there for years and we are just tired. Their prices have gone up and the quality of service has gone down. We always ask that they pay extra attention to the collars and cuffs of our laundered shirts. That is touch and go at best. Initially they were good about it. Recently it has been disregarded. Usually, we check the shirts before we leave. We have had to ask them to redothem several times. We made the mistake of leaving without checking them first and were stuck with dirty cuffs and collars. We also ask for extra starch on our laundered shirts. They must have run out of starch and forgotten to inform us. No stiffness whatsoever. Recently, my husband discovered his shirt was burned and ruined. The last straw came today when my husband was preparing for work and discovered holes burned into the blazer of one of his suits. Ruined! Never again! Stay far, far away! read more

So I get into my car and there is a smell. At first I thought I stepped in something... Nope that's not it. Then what is it? Come to find out it was the freshly cleaned shirt I just took from under the plastic. Not the first time this has happened. Also check your items for chemical stains. I started to notice what appear to be liquid spills on my clothes. So I checked them before I put them in.. Guess what? A few items came back with stains and a nice note saying they sorry they tried to get the stain out but couldn't. As one person stated you get what you pay for. I am done with them. read more

I had 3 dress shirts which were not cleaned at all, just pressed to "appear" nice. Also, they put very large safety pins through my wife's shorts instead of just clipping to a hanger. Seems like a trivial thing to complain about but these were very expensive shorts and they were not tiny safety pins, they were very large and she now has holes in her clothing. I've used this dry cleaner for 6 years UNTIL they couldn't find my shirts. To make the matter worse, I was asked over and over...are you sure you didn't pick up your shirts already. In other words.....since we can't find your shirts, even though you have a ticket and the shirts arn't cleared in the computer as picked up, I must be lying because we the great Dry Clean Depot don't loose shirts. After 45 mins of 1 employee, 1 assistant manager, and 1 manager looking for my shirts, I was finally asked to fill out a claim form and was told it could take up to 30 days. Lucky for me I was called the next day to pick up my shirts. When I saw the manager, I approached him and told him I was here to pick up my shirts and he replied yeah, yeah ok, just wait in line and someone would help you. Poor Quality Service, Poor Customer Service, Racist Manager (CARL), Insulting. This cleaners has changed their name to ASAP Cleaners, but it is under the same management. DON'T WAIST YOUR TIME, GO TO A REAL CLEANERS. This cleaners doesn't clean your clothes, they steam, press and return it. The same stains that you go there with are the same stains you will get back. Yesterday, I returned 3 items that looked like they hadn't been cleaned. When the young lady at the counter went to tell the manager of the issue, from afar he looked disinterested and shook his head "no" as if he didn't want to be bothered. Read further to see what happened when Carl, the manager on site (5/9/18) finally came to approach me. The first item was a pair of tan pants with black trim. My pants were returned with the black faded all on the tan of the pants. When I spoke with the manager on site, Spanish guy who goes by the name of "Carl," rather than him apologizing for my pants being ruined, he tells me that my Ann Taylor pants were a cheap quality and that's why the black smeared on the tan. I can think of at least 3 different ways he could have come up with a resolution, instead he resulted to insulting me. He could have offered me a free item for cleaning, apologized for the inconvenience, or reimbursed me of my expense. The second item was a kaki jacket. The underarms of the jacket were returned to me with the same stains on it. When I asked Carl how he would resolve this, he said you'd be better off washing this at home. I told him that this isn't the first time ASAP cleaners returned clothing that I specifically marked off with stains that may need a little special attention, right back to me the same way. Again, no resolution. The third item was a work shirt, and it had a small stain on the top. This was the only item that ASAP cleaners placed a tab on the top that said, "Sorry, we couldn't remove the stain," which should have been done with any item that had a stain. When I asked where his supervisor was, he said, you need to come back tomorrow. I also asked how would he resolve, and Carl said I'm not giving you any money back. After I brought to his attention his lack of customer service and that I planned to write about my experience by review, Carl said, he doesn't take any threats. How could this be a threat? I can't wait to take this up with the owner. This type of treatment is unacceptable! As far as how this cleaners looks physically, they renovated the outside to make it blend with the new stores in the surrounding area, but don't be fooled, nothing was done with the inside of this cleaners. There is NO air condition even it very hot weather and the employees are forced to work while they sweat. There employee/staff turnaround is high as no one stays there very long. The cleaners look very dirty on the inside and the alternation counter has your garment thrown on top of the table until she gets to it. There is no place to try your garments on like in traditional cleaners. Lastly, when ASAP cleaners take your clothing, they throw them in a dirty bin. Please don't waste your time folks! read more

Walk away!. This dry cleaner offers a competitive price but after experiencing bad service several times it is not worth the trouble. I went on my lunch break the day before Thanksgiving and stood in line behind 4 other customers. We waiter for 15 minutes and no one ever came to the front desk to offer assistance. I went back on December 1st and dropped of 6 sweaters and asked that the buttons be replaced on one of the sweater (all of the buttons were broken or cracked). I came back two weeks later the repairs hadn't been done and was told to come back in one week it would be ready. I came back two weeks later to ensure that the repairs had been done. When I provided the gentleman my ticket he gave me my sweater only 2 of the 6 buttons had been replaced. I asked about why the other had been left in place I was told that I was only charge to replace 2 buttons. I asked how was I to know that I was only charge to replace 2 buttons when my receipt only remarked that alterations had been purchased. The gentleman insisted that I had only paid for two buttons to be replaced. I waited 4 weeks in total overpaid for alterations and got half of what I asked for. A business with some type of integrity would've corrected the mistake on their part instead of trying to cheat the customer out of their money. I haven't use this place since then. Horrible service. The last time I received my dry cleaning all the top buttons of my dress shirts broken and they refused to make it right. They wanted me to pay to replace the buttons. I wouldn't mind doing it, but I have been replacing broken buttons at my own cost for years. This event was my breaking point. There is no customer loyalty or real customer service. I called and went 3 times to pick up clothes and still have not received not 1 piece of my clothing but was told that they are not a storage company and they may have given my clothes away. Just so you are aware, this place is now called ASAP Cleaners. Now with that being said, I will NEVER take another article of clothing there as long as I live. They are the worst!!! I had been a regular customer at this cleaners thru three name changes. With each name change, the service got progressively worse to the point where after over 10 years I'm completely done! I wear uniforms to work so this was an economical way of dry cleaning them on a regular basis. I guess it's true that you get what you pay for. My shirts are white and quite often come back with the collars still dirty or some pink stains (I'm assuming cleaner or starch) on the front. On more than one occasion my shirts have come back with ripped sleeves that look like someone took a pair of scissors to them. The first time it happened I just let it go as my uniform shirts are free and I can just get another. But alas, it has happened again. It's not the rip that is the worst part. It's the fact that whoever did it felt that it was perfectly okay to put it in the plastic, charge you for the cleaning, and give it to the customer knowing full well what you had done and choosing to say nothing. They have totally lost my items of clothing in the past (most recently a top I had only worn once). They did offer me a store credit however, it did not completely cover the cost of a top I had only worn once. I'm completely done with this place and will never return. There looks to be a Zips opening up across the street soon and this is where I'll be taking my business. If the owner or manager is reading this review, you have some serious issue in your establishment and I can guarantee you when that Zips opens up, you may well find yourselves out of business. In the meantime, I'm in the hunt for a new cleaners. I only wish I could have given this place zero stars as it's gotten so bad over the years it's ridiculous. Terrible. I brought in an expensive evening dress and wanted to have it cleaned for the holidays. The dress had decorative design on it. when I got the dress back crystal design had been ripped off. I called and tried to speak to the manager. You can never get a phone number direct for him. All you get is an email address which he does not respond. This is terrible. 6/10/2015 Dry Cleaning Depot is now ASAP. Do not ever and I mean ever take your clothes to be done at this location in Bowie, I took a pair of white capris as well as a pair of denim ones to be cleaned on Saturday, May 30, went back to pick them up on May 3. Before I left the store, I inspected both pair and low and behold, the white pair has three brown stains on them that were not there when I drop them off. Spoke to manager on duty, who was very obnoxious, and after going back and forth, he finally agreed to have the white capris redone, with a spot treatment and I could pick them up the next day which would be May 4, as I wasn't able to get back until 5 days later, I just assumed that ASAP was able to get these spots out, boy was I ever wrong. On Monday, May 8, my husband and I go back once again to pick up the now famous white capris, and as luck would have it, or so we thought, the owner is the person who helps us. We examine the capris and you guess it, the stains are still there, so he takes them in the back and tries to use a spot remover technique which does take out one stain but the other still will not come out, he then goes on to ask why did I bring white pants in to be cleaned, and that since I only wore them once why didn't I just wash them, we both look at him like he was crazy and we even asked him is this what you tell your other customers who bring in white items to be cleaned, that they should have just saved their money and just washed them at home, he also stated that he would more than likely have to make a claim and with those you never really get back the value of your clothes. Well anyway we left the capris for them to try a 3rd time to get these spots out. Well we went back today Wednesday, May 10 and yes one spot still exist, spoke with the manager and the owner. We go back and forth and back and forth and the end result is us walking away with $2.29 the price I paid to have them to cleaned and ruined.
