First time at this dollar tree located right off the 183A. Plenty of parking. Fully stocked. I would say way too many boxes in the aisle, and these aisles are very narrow. Restroom available. Team members work hard, with a smile and making sure customers are taken care of. One last thing prices are all over the place. $1.25, 1,50, 3.00 & 5.00. Yep, twice now I've witnessed some very ugly/uncomfortable encounters at the cedar park dollar tree on 183 and Whitestone. The bald headed manager was talking down to his employee, then they're going back and forth smack talking and cussing in front of 10+ customers, while the cashier in front of me (who's arguing with the manager on the other register) is talking the vulgarest of crap to me about the manager. Then the next time, same manager, was disrespecting and arguing with an elderly lady about how she's bagging her toilet paper and she needs to get another bag even though she insists she's done it for years, but the manager persists with the lady, persists with the employee that he's lazy, and tells the lady whatever and walks away mumbling as she's standing there in awe. One day, all these people doing all this f*ing around are definitely going to find out, no doubt. Especially that fool, he's gonna get rocked one day, mark my words, not a threat, call it a premonition. This man should be fired! He does not deserve his job, he needs to work in a warehouse and away from customers and certainly not in a position of leadership. read more

I drove 25 mins to this location because it says they open at 8am. I got there at 8:15 and they were closed. I killed time then went in at 9 when they opened. I tried to tell the child working the register but he honestly couldn't care less. He literally never opened his mouth. It was like talking to a wall but even more impolite. Well I'll start off by saying I'm thankful that Dollar Tree exists because there are definitely items that are not worth paying over a dollar for. It is also nice to get balloons for $1 for birthdays and such as opposed to paying a lot more at the Party stores or HEB. Beyond that, I usually don't get a warm and fuzzy feeling when I know I have to go pick things up at a Dollar Tree. I will say at this location there is an employee named Rosy that will make you laugh and make your trip a little more pleasant. She loves to joke and make the best of the situation which I love about her demeanor. I've gone in here twice and both times left laughing because of something she's said or done. The "acting" manager at this place is absolutely the worst manager we have ever encountered. The young girl at the register was so overwhelmed, and the "acting manager" literally grabbed the other attendant by the shoulders so she could not answer a question while we were waiting. I am very disappointed with the employees at this store. Me and my friend arrived at the store tonight at 8:55 and tried opening the store but it was locked. So we stood there waiting because I was wanting to ask why they closed 5 minutes early. And one of the employees that was in there was staring at us and didn't even come to the door. There were several people in the store, but the employee told them not to let us in. She let a costumer out of the store, and when we asked why she wasnt letting us in after we showed her that it was not 9:00 o'clock, she cracked the door and poked her head out and denied our entry, saying that they were closed. Please explain to the employees that they can't deny customers service during hours of operation. This is unacceptable. read more

Great experience here 11/23. All associates were masked, working hard, and quite nice when interacted with. The store was a mess with boxes and merchandise, but it's a busy season and I'm sure they are putting it out as fast as it sells. I don't even know where to start with this Dollar Tree Location.... This Dollar tree is one of the most disgusting nastiest Dollar Tree's I HAVE EVER BEEN IN. There is piles of inventory EVERYWHERE. You cant even get down an aisle because there will be piled boxes in the way. Want a shopping cart? Forget it! There are maybe two or three shopping carts available because all their inventory is piled in the rest of their carts. People were having to shop with acadamy sports and outdoors shopping carts. They only had one out of four registers opened when I went to check out. There was about 12 people in line so they opened another lane. They can only have two out of their four registers opened because the other two are piled with inventory. The store is super hot. They leave the front doors opened at all times because there is no A/C in the store. There was nothing in their refrigerator/freezer department and it wouldn't matter because you couldn't get to it anyways because once again there were boxes piled up in front of them. I'm surprised no one has gotten hurt in this store. This store is a huge mess and this location just needs to be shut down. read more

Being as cheap as I am, this place rocks. Everything of course is $1. They even have things that are 2 for $1. If you need simple office supplies or party decor or cards to even cleaning supplies and kitchen gadgets...they have it all. Some days you show up and they have new random things for sale. Then the following week another random thing, but the other thing is gone. But that's expected being that it is the dollar store. The biggest thing is you need to know how much something costs elsewhere to know if you get a good deal. They have sold things that are cheaper at Walmart or another store. Sucks when you find out later. The best deal is the latex helium balloons. No where else sells them that cheap, EVER! And they have tons of choices to choose from. I get tons of random arts and crafts for my kid to do. They always have seasonal/holiday things on sale. So why 4 stars? Like I said, I've been tricked into thinking something was cheaper there when it was cheaper elsewhere. it is pretty messy. Also it does get busy during certain holiday sales, and they have more than 1 lane, yet only one is open and you wait forever to check out. Also you can't tell who is working there. Seems sometimes only 1 person working, so if you need help, don't expect to get any. I had two back to back horrifying experiences at this location. The first time I stopped by to pick up some balloons for my son's first birthday party. I asked the cashier if they had any non-mylar helium balloons. The cashier said they didn't but I could purchase balloons from the store and they would fill then with helium. I bought the balloons and the cashier sent me to the balloon center to get them filled. It was about four feet away. The manager was the person there and he informed me that they would not fill balloons that I purchased. I explained to him that I had just been told I could. He reiterated that I could not and walked away. The cashier avoided eye contact with me and basically just left me standing there. I emailed a complaint since you can't call their corporate office to complain. That was almost a month ago and I have yet to hear back. The next incident occurred two weeks later. I would have preferred to never shop there again but my mom was in town and we needed supplies to make centerpieces for a graduation party. Same cashier. My mom purchased several glass items and the cashier asked what she wanted him to do with them. My mom asked for him to wrap them. Since we had about $60 worth of items the cashier called for back up but then asked if I would help wrapping the glass. I said yes even though the way he asked was more expectant than polite. After I began wrapping the first vase he stopped me so he could correct how I was doing his job. I was so frustrated that I said "do you want me to help you or not? " he then continued ringing up items leaving me to wrap everything. After he finished ringing up the items, rather than bagging the items I wrapped, Or helping me wrap the remaining items, he moved on to the next customer! At one point I saw the manager from the week before standing back and rather than stepping in to help the cashier with the customers waiting in line, He just walked away into the store. Meanwhile I was explaining to my mom that I didn't bag any of the items because the cashier didn't offer any and he began trying to jump into our conversation and argue with me about what had happened. I commented that I could not believe what poor customer service he was displaying and he retorted "what do you expect? Everything here is only with a dollar" At that point I was so angry that I said back to him "so the customer service is only worth a dollar?" As I was leaving he was continuing to try to argue with me and trying to involve other customers saying I was lucky to even get bags because if I was at an Austin store they wouldn't even have bags. To which I replied if I was in Austin I would've known I needed to bring my own bag and I also never experienced such terrible service at the Lakeline location! He was still commenting and arguing as we walked out of the door! I filed another complaint immediately after the incident and haven't heard back about that one either. At this point I feel the only resolution is sharing with others the horrible experience you can expect from this location and encourage you to drive a little farther for a cleaner location and nicer/more respectful employees. read more

I have never had this happen to me in a retail store before. I'm 2nd in line to check out and there are 2 lines open and both busy. When it was my turn to check out. The manager spoke to the cashier, he said "take a break" and he walked away from the register with urgency toward the back of the building and she turned to go back into her office but I called out to her to ask a question about merchandise behind her. She answered my question and went into the office and very well should have seen that we didn't have a cashier. He didn't turn the light out and didn't give his register to the manager to keep in the office so we all assumed she would be his replacement. About 3-4 customers are in this line and after less than 2 minutes I went to the mirrored window to wave to get the manager's attention but didn't knock on the door which was a better plan. She did not respond or did not see me. I left the store without my merchandise. I went back into the store a while later to get the manager's name to file a complaint; mostly to let Corp. know they have a real problem with this store. She refused to give her name and said I didn't need it. When I complained about the people being abandoned at the register with an even longer line at the other register to wait further, the cashier told me he had misunderstood his manager and thought he should take his break. That can happen especially if he is new to the workforce. However, the manager should always have control of the floor and personnel. The manager was extremely rude and said she has "rights" which include taking a lunch break. Really? Isn't scheduling breaks part of a manager's job and again, didn't she wonder where the cashier went when she turned around to answer my question? But a half-sincere, "we're sorry - our bad" would have sufficed but instead the manager was rude, indignant and is completely unsuitable for retail management. read more
