Need some cute baby clothes? It's there. Men's shorts? Yep. Jeans in different styles? TONS! Need a dress for a wedding? They will have one for you. However...you won't be able to try anything on bc they DO NOT HAVE FITTING ROOMS! What?? The place is huge and they could absolutely stage some fitting rooms somewhere in this behemoth place. You might be thinking, "Oh, I'll just return whatever doesn't fit"--whelp, their return policy doesn't do them any favors either. You have to return items within two weeks for same-day store credit. AKA...you have to buy more that same day with your return credit. Everything has to have tags and you have to your receipt as well. Well, it's the best option out of (literally) every thrift store in the Austin area. I did find a few items although it was still more expensive than what it's worth. In Los Angeles, I would walk out with a big bag of clothes and home decor; satisfied every time. Moving back here and realizing the state of thrift stores has been so disappointing. Anyways, if you are a size Small, like me, you will be disappointed. They have huge rows of clothing with extremely tiny sections for Small sizes. If you're a Medium+, then this is your playground. Pro: This is a great thrift store to check out for books, especially children's books. If I had kids, I would go here just for that. read more

This is now our go to place for a thrift store in Reno. We find higher end clothing than other thrift store but definitely at a higher price. Actually, I'm shocked at some of their prices but I will be honest that I have caved in on purchasing because again they are higher quality, name brand but at the same time I have not purchased so much because how high it was marked up. I also always check out the book section. Again, prices higher than most thrift store for soft cover. All their books, regardless if soft or hard back is $3.99. However, once again, I find myself finding such great titles. So here is what you do, if you pick 5 books, the 5th one is Free! So actually those books are costing $2.99 each. If you want to save more money with your purchases, sign up to be a member and you will get a text from time to time regarding getting an extra discount. they spray a Febreze like sent all over everything and it doesn't wash out. Alert this doesn't get rid of the dirt and grime! If you have to use something switch to the new Proof product, which doesn't smell. It's a waste of money to buy clothing that has been sprayed with this Febreze scent! I love the idea of thrifting! There used to be two Savers thrift stores in Austin and now there is just this one (for now). The building itself appears to have been an old Conn's appliance store so the inside is a pretty decent size. They have a huge selection of items. It is also very clean and organized. Everything is priced affordably here, hence the name "Savers". Be sure to ask about the color tag deal going on for that day, you could save up to %50 maybe even more! They also have a self checkout register, i've never seen this at any other thrift stores. Be sure to also sign up for their rewards program online. I would personally say this is one of the better thrift stores in Austin, so check it out if you get the chance. read more

I came to this Saver's based on Yelp reviews and for me it was hit or miss. The pros - easy to park, huge, clean store with helpful associates and lots of inventory. But the racks were all giving a bit samey. Loads of Old Navy, Target own brands and the odd item from Loft thrown in. Goodwill type prices. If you want higher end pieces and brands, this Savers isn't it. There was a decent amount of kids clothes and I did manage to get one of my kids some rain boots in good condition for only $3 read more

3.5 So I've driven by this place several times and had never realized what it was. After seeing people online praising it we went here yesterday. This place is full of stuff. It's not picked over and empty like other thrift places. I immediately went to the back and while there weren't the specific dolls I wanted after walking to the open shelves I immediately found two dolls still in their original packaging. I was very bummed when the store moved from South Lamar North near Lakeline Mall . I live south. I've always lived south so I have made it a point every time I go north to stop by my favorite thrift store unfortunately the last time is gonna be the last time for me because their return policy is completely outrageous. The whole not accepting returns whatsoever and only accepting exchanges if you have the receipt makes it difficult enough on customers however, if you do have your receipt, but you do not have time to shop at that moment getting store credit is absolutely not an option so for a customer that has been a customer for many years And does not live near their store. I would think an exception could be made to get store credit so that I could use it at at a later date when I am north again. This was not even an option. It was an immediate no and no exceptions could be made Even when I explained that I live so far away no exception could be made and I find that extremely inconvenient and unfair to loyal customers. read more

PROS: ------------ (1) It's a decent size (19,500sf, I measured). Not quite as large as the Goodwill on Lamar or Salvation Army on S. Congress, but not small, either. (2) Exceptionally well-organized. (3) Clean (4) Low prices, much lower than Goodwill. It is the best thrift store I have ever visited. What I liked most was its organization, cleanliness and helpful friendly staff.

As a native Austinite, I have by choice (help the planet) and now necessity shopped at thrift stores. Savers was my favorite. Amazing and unique finds. You can shop for the entire home and everyone, pets included in this store. HOWEVER, they used to "reward" you with a 20% off coupon for your shopping trip if you brought in donations. . And I miss that, I donate all my families clothes or no longer used items! So for that reason solely I gave Savers one less star. But still a lovely thrift experience! read more

I've received some of my best thrifted pieces from this specific Savers. I would say that this Saver's is best for jackets and long sleeve clothes for men. It's quite larger than other Saver's I've been but I just wish that ambience was a little more lively. Not sure if it's only the Saver's that I visit but they all seem pretty stale and stoic in regards to the ambience. This store has a large selection of clothing and very cheap books and used jewelry. There's also a lot of junk.

This store is ok, pretty clean and organized. I went one time at night, and the cashier who checked me out wasn't very pleasant. Also, the prices are definitely higher than Goodwills for not having a better selection. However, the reason I'm giving them 4 stars instead of 3 or lower is because they purchase the items from non-profits, so I will always support a business that helps non-profits. read more

Went here in search of an item and ended up buying it along with a few other things I liked, I have to say this store completely ruined thrift stores like Goodwill for me. Savers is much more organized, with a larger selection. I collect Furbies of all generations and the Blue 2012 I got here was in excellent shape! No evidence of battery corrosion, and It's always a good day when the fur is clean enough that I don't have to take it off and hand wash it. I was curious how this location compared to the previous location on Burnet Rd. The size and selection of the store was just as fun. Although I've been to this new location once, I wonder if the area of the store gets as many unique donations as the central store did. I really like the clothes and pricing here better than goodwill. However, the fact that they hang their clothes backwards drives me nuts!! Anyone who has ever worked in retail knows that clothes are to be hung where when looking at the front of the piece of clothing the hanger goes like a question mark. This store does it backwards and makes it extremely uncomfortable to look at the clothes. Unless maybe your left handed! I also can't stand the way they hang their jeans! Why any store would hang them this way is beyond me! Makes it extremely hard to determine quickly if you would like the jeans. I bet if this store fixed these 2 issues their sales would increase.
