The main section of the store, everything is $3!!!! Yes, you read that correctly: $3. Clothes, shoes, accessories/jewelry. $3. Everything is very organized & there are dressing rooms with amazing lighting. The workers are super friendly! They also have a big premium section with things ranging $15+, but items that are worth it! I found so many amazing unique pieces, including very flattering extra long vintage 90s jeans on the baggier side (I'm a tall girl) for $15 - I was SHOOK. I went there again yesterday and found amazing pieces! There is also a free section outside in the back (for those in need). Thank you for making a difference!!! I reached out to owner Kelley Rytlewski in advance as a courtesy, when we could have simply walked. Her response was to tell us not to come to her store. Her reason was that she didn't want us taking up space for "real" customers. No explanation beyond that, no alternative offered, even after I responded to her question about whether or not the Girl Scouts would be spending money at her store. (Yes, she actually asked me that. My response was that they were all instructed to bring $30 but it was up to them to choose to spend it at her store or not.) As someone who reached out in good faith, I found the interaction dismissive and unwelcoming. The customer experience was a stark contrast to the warm, community-focused image the business owner projects. If you're a school group, troop, or youth organization looking for a welcoming community partner and experience in Austin, I'd look elsewhere. Imagine being a female owner of a community-focused business and NOT partnering with Girl Scouts. Mind blown. Austin is an affordable city and lucky for people living here they have access to a discount store that sells quality merch. Daiso stores are clean, bright, and organized. It's definitely a step up from Dollar Tree. Free abundant parking in this strip mall as this city is car dependent. With comparison to the Daiso's in the Puget Sound region, this store is larger than the one in Southcenter Mall but smaller than the one in Federal Way. A good thing about shopping in TX is that sales tax is less here than WA.

Best and quickest furniture experience of my life…read more We walked in and were greeted by Robert who gave us the run down of all the available couches and their prices. He was not pushy or salesy at all and was just very nice and helpful. Delivery was only $100 and he said they could deliver it same day! We couldn't believe it. We found a leather reclining couch that we liked and was a great price ($300 less than a similar one we almost bought at another store). We browsed dining room tables while we were there and got one a glass table with 4 chairs for less than $400. What a deal. The delivery guys literally came within 2 hours to our apartment and unloaded, set everything up, and threw away the boxes and trash. Amazing service. One chair had a short leg and so the delivery man took it back and brought a new one 2 days later, even on a holiday weekend! Amazing. Would 100% recommend this furniture store and we will be a repeat customer.

Treasure City Thrift recently moved into my neighborhood, so I finally stopped in to see what it…read morewas all about. On my first visit, I noticed they had a nice mix of clothing, shoes, glassware, and home décor, so I came back this weekend hoping to browse the clothing racks. I struck out on clothes this time around--not because they didn't have any, just because nothing in my size was quite my style, condition, or price point. That's thrifting, though. You never know what you're going to find, and sometimes the best score is in a completely different aisle. In my case, I walked out with a pair of vintage shoes in excellent condition for only $5, plus several beautiful glass pieces for next to nothing. I'd call that a successful trip! When I drove by on Sunday, they had boxes and boxes of free items out front with people happily digging through them. It was way too hot for me to join the hunt, but once the Texas weather cools off, I definitely will. This feels like one of those thrift stores that's worth stopping into regularly because the inventory is always changing, and you never know what treasure you'll find next.
