I initially went there for a sofa and found just about everything else I needed there all in one place. The owner was very helpful and further discounted my total when I added additional items from their stand alone price of the items if bought individually! By the time I had finished, I ended up getting my entire apartment furnished without having to go anywhere else! I got the best sofa ever too. I am so happy with it; a large sectional very comfortable couch and divan and foot rest. I also found the perfect barstools I needed, some very custom lamps and lighting, end tables that are uniquely asthetic, my mattresses, sheets, pillows, bedspread and comforter, all a matching colour and theme for my bedroom. Full sized rugs and floor coverings to match, for every room and walkway I needed. And a dresser for my clothes, and a perfect small chair and automin for the bedroom that match the bedroom theme and color. There was a great recliner and another sofa combination I would have been happy to have taken, but alas my new apartment only had ONE livingroom and ONE bedroom, and I was out of rooms to furnish! And so my empty new apartment was complete. I got everything in one place and paired with appropriate matching accessories I was certain would go well together, at a further discounted total price, and delivered the next day for a very small delivery fee which I couldn't have done myself anyways. I didn't have to lift or pick up or unload anything; all I had to do was say: "put it there,...and put it there,...and over there, ..and there, ...and those go in the bedroom,..in there, and that goes in the kitchen, ...and THANK YOU Marini's for everything and all your help... I couldn't have done it without your help. And when I realize whatever else I might need also, I'll be sure I check with Marini's first before I go anywhere else! After multiple trips to this store I always see the cashiers alone and ask them and they tell me they're always by themselves. There's always a line a check out that is so long. And usually there's no backup. Today, the cashier ended up needing change and the Store Manager came out and ended up helping at checking people out. The floors and isles here are in dangerous conditions for customers. Littered with overflowing boxes, and isles nearly clogged with all boxes. It looks unorganized and unkept. The prices are not labeled on things here, so you might find one cheap item then get something for seven dollars like I did with some Christmas ornaments I purchased. No price! I just don't understand how a Corporation could let this kind of wreck of a store happen? I feel very sorry for the employees here. It's not their fault! And I always see new faces here. I never see the same people which suggests to me a high turnover. Also, be careful with the expiration. I have purchased some items that were expired. Unfortunately, after the disappointment I've had here I won't be returning anytime soon. I will be steering clear of Dollar Tree for now. I remember back in the day when everything was only $1 The last time I was in a dollar tree I bought some fake flowers for $5. I used it for my little girl's cemetery plot at the pet cemetery. This time our quest was for graduation cards. The odd thing was the sign said 2 for a dollar. One card was 50 cents and the other card was over a dollar. I think they made a mistake. My parents have two graduates they know of and wanted to get them some cards. There is a discussion going on as what is the etiquette for when you receive graduation announcements for people you don't' know. They know the parents, but not the kids and the parents are really just friends of friends so you have no real connection. Do you send a card, give a gift, send money, then if you send money how much do you send. This was a topic of discussion we had on my visit. I said my good friends graduated last year and since I am such good friends with the mother I sent a check and card to their child for a graduation gift. It wasn't expected, but it was appreciated. For friends of friends kids now that's a challenge as you aren't that connected to the parents and it's odd to me that they would wasted the money on sending announcements to people that their kids don't have a connection with. With my girlfriend we talk about their kids all the time and they become part of my relationship with them. I don't know what they decided. I think out of obligation they'll send a check in the cards they just purchased. My parents also got a few cans of chick peas to roast in their air fryer. They are so good when they are toasty.
