However, when I arrived to pick up the car, I was met by a very young front-desk staff member--he looked no older than 15 or 16 years old--and the entire process quickly fell apart. Without even checking my reservation details or confirming anything on file, he immediately told me, "You're too young to rent a car," and turned me away. What's most frustrating is the complete lack of consistency and professionalism. If your system allows a confirmed booking for someone under 25 (with the agreement to pay additional fees), how does it make sense to reject that same customer on-site without so much as verifying the appointment? To add to that, there was no manager or adult staff present to clarify the situation or assist further. It was unprofessional, poorly handled, and frankly disorganized. Honestly, I should've listened to the reviews saying this place is awful. I just needed a car for a couple of days to commute to LA, and figured this place would be convenient. Turns out, it wasn't worth the hassle at all. I ended up renting from Lancaster instead--it was much cheaper, way more straightforward, and I actually got a good deal. Lesson learned.

I was given a choice of a Wrangler or Bronco. I chose the Wrangler. I drove the vehicle while on vacation in Cambria and noticed the steering was out of alignment as the steering wheel pulled and wobbled. I also noticed how worn the tire tread was. As a former insurance employee I could easily see the tread wear was below the legal requirement and very unsafe. As I returned home the check engine light came on. I called Enterprise as I was nearing Valencia (I planned on returning the vehicle that afternoon) and advised them of the light and that I planned on returning the vehicle that afternoon to Palmdale. Their offer was I could return it to Valencia. I told the representative I could but then had no way to get home approximately 40 miles away. No suggestions were offered from the representative. I then advised I could drive the vehicle to Palmdale but would not be responsible if the engine seized. The representative was in agreement. On the way several indicator warning lights came on advising a malfunction of the ABS, the sway bar was disconnected, the 4WD required service, the front impact warning system wasn't working and cruise control wasn't working. Needless to say I was very concerned but was able to limp the vehicle to Palmdale. Clearly no maintenance is being performed on these vehicles and they are UNSAFE. There's no excuse for dangerously worn tires and warning lights such as I experienced. I have made my insurance company aware of the dangers of using this location.
