Always a pleasant experience. Dependable and pleasant. Parking could be better. Prescriptions filled promptly. read more

The customer service has declined since the merger of the Grass Valley location to the Nevada City location. Since then the wait time is at least 10 minutes and the clerks are rude. I've used Dokimo's since they opened 19 years ago and they were perfect. When I ordered new Blood Glucose Meter strips for a client I found out after trying to use them that they were the wrong strips. They were strips for a new type of monitor. I brought them back and the clerk said that I couldn't get a refund because I didn't choose the correct ones. I had no idea there were new monitors and strips. They should have asked me what monitor I was using to sell me the correct strips. They put the blame on me. $92 down the drain. I'm changing to Raley's. They give the best customer service in their pharmacy in our area and I can shop while waiting for my RX's. read more

I have been a customer of Dokimo's For 10 years. I have said they were the best pharmacy ever, but they have fallen off in the past few months. Specifically the telephone wait times have become intolerable. 15 minutes is far too long to wait to talk with them. They need to get it back together. read more

I've only been here twice. The first time was ok experience with friendly staff. Today, however, I went in and everyone seemed to be in quite a grumpy mood. I was just trying to kill some time and by a few things while I wait for my ride. When I was treated quite unkindly for bringing in my cart of groceries. And the cashier was also in the worst mood. I know everyone has a bad day but not sure why the whole staff was off today. Not sure if I'll be back read more

Well I was a customer of Dokimos ,for over 10years ,this is all my prescriptions and gifts cards etc etc etc .....I try really hard to support small business, regardless of waits ,prices ,even new staff etc ,,because being a small business owner myself ,and in customer service for 45 years ,I get not all day are easy ,and no one is perfect ,but a few years ago I was finally !,after struggling for years ,to be medicated and diagnosed with adhd ,being medicated was a life changer ,I could focus and accomplish things ,I always struggled with ,I was on the lowest dose ,for 5yrs of a stimulant but started noticing the pharmacy staff ,treated me different when picking up this medication ,when ,and how much ,etc ,but with almost a degrading ,rude attitude ,what ??? I am not a drug addict ,ok ,I know you have rules ,they really follow the rules ,good ,but they also made me jump thru hoops to get my medication !,most months !always a issue ,never with kindness ,or compassion ,or understanding ,had to have my doctors call ,several times ,I will not even go into the only time ,I used and I really needed pain pill because I was in excruciating back pain ,my husband kept saying you need to change your pharmacy ,because his did not do this to him ,ugh I stayed until today!!,after being treated with the most disrespectful and rude young lady I have encountered there ,Kayla ,because I had my doctor call in my prescription 1 ....,,day early so with insurance change I didn't have to pay 600$ more the next day ,again I had to jump thru hoops have my doctor call again ,twice ,only after saying thankyou to her after getting it to be hung up on by her ,that did it ,I will never step foot in that pharmacy again ,and will let my neurodivergent community of friends know not to go there or for that matter everyone else who needs medication I can reach ,they and I deserve to be treated with respect and dignity and compassion ,that's my problem with Dokimos !!!!! read more

I switched from CVS to Dokimos. I am retired and on Medicaid. My prescriptions are filled promptly. The staff is curteous, quick and effecient. They give the personal touch. I never "pay" extra, as I suspect that I did when I went to CVS. read more

If I could rate this pharmacy a zero star I would, I would NOT recommend switching pharmacy's if you have one. They are rude rude rude and slow as heck. My prescription was called in two days ago and it wasn't ready when I was ready to pick them up, I had to wait 20 plus minutes even though my doctor sent the prescription over two days ago!! They should have been ready on the shelf that day. Horrible customer service! I will be switching asap read more

I'm SO glad I switched from Walgreens in Brunswick to Dokimos in Nevada City about a year ago. My prescriptions are always filled quickly & correctly, my average 30 minutes in line at Walgreens is reduced to less than 3 minutes at the Nevada City Dokimos. It's like night and day! read more

I honestly can't believe anyone still goes to the big chains when we have this sweet little gem of a pharmacy! I have been lucky enough to know of Dokimos for 14+ years now, and I am so grateful for them! I can't tell you how many times they've helped fill a prescription at last minute notice, rushed medication after a surgery or diagnosis, the list is endless. Becky is the most fabulous person to ever work in customer service. An absolute gem of a human that I consider a friend after all these years just going in there! All of the staff is so warm and helpful (Bryce, Jill, Jen, Kat- among others that I know I'm missing!), they're always a pleasure to interact with. I could keep going, truly. But just do yourself a favor and ditch the big chain (AND THE HEADACHE) for this spot. read more

Wonderful! Both GV and NC. Clean. Great staff. Good parking. My go to Nevada county pharmacy!

Went in for a vaccination and a female pharmacist said she would give the shot and did so. No mention of cost to me as this shot was covered by medicare, as per medicare. When I asked about my paying she directed me to a cashier. I paid nearly $300.00. The cashier said they didn't have a contract with Medicare. I was not happy and complained to the owner's wife who appeared not to care. I drove over twice with files on the transaction and was never responded to, so I went in an employee who opened a drawer on the other side of the counter, which easy for everyone to see , was my social security number in large letters. The owner finally gave me a check for about a third of what I paid. All in all it was the attitude which I found amazing in its' non-caring. The employees were great but not the owner. read more

Best local pharmacy in town. Wonderful owners that truly care about our community. Fun gift shop to browse while waiting for prescription. Friendly staff! read more

I LOVE this pharmacy. Everyone here is very kind and professional and I never have to wait for my prescription. I honestly have never reviewed a pharmacy before but Dokimos is so great they deserve the shout out! read more

The only way Dokimo's could be improved is possibly expand their hours. Granted, N.C. is a small town, so it's somewhat understandable. In every single other aspect they have been absolutely perfect for me and everyone I know. I have told many people how satisfied I am and several have switched to Dokimo's & are equally satisfied. read more

Dokimos is the best pharmacy in Nevada County for service and med price. Nothing but good to say about them.

Dokimos has the best customer service of any pharmacy I've ever used, in town, or in other places. Whether I call in or am there in person the staff are incredibly helpful and knowledgable. They all have the ability to handle any request I've had, and when they don't, they go ask someone else without me having to ask them to - at other places, depending on which staffer I'm talking to, I've had to push staff to get answers to questions they don't know offhand. They're also the only pharmacy, of many that I've called, that is willing to take the time to verify inert ingredients in prescriptions to make sure they don't contain a food I'm allergic to. A friend of mine tried Dokimos and said they take too long, but I've had the opposite experience myself - I've gone to Rite Aid for flu shots (before Dokimos offered them), and I've watched how long people wait in line for service, and I've never waited that long at Dokimos. I usually walk right up to the counter and get help, and if not, they're well staffed where I've only ever waited a few minutes (at most). If I'm looking for something in the store, it's easy to find someone to help, and often they ask me if I need help before I seek them out. Small things to watch out for are hours and selection of products. Dokimos usually has the products you need, but may not have it in a wide selection of brands - they've offered to order things for me in the past too, but if you want a wider selection, you might be better going to Rite Aid or CVS. I've also found that their hours work for me to pick up prescriptions, but you'll want to be mindful that they close in the early evening and have limited weekend hours, so if that's important to you, check on the times. I've been very happy with Dokimos' service and recommend giving them a try. read more

best pharmacy in Nevada County. the staff are all so kind and efficient. the process of refilling prescriptions is so easy and takes maybe 2-3 minutes over the phone, and it's even faster to pick up my prescriptions. 10/10 read more

First time using this pharm. Dr. called in prescript at 2:00. Showed up at 5 and they had no record. After much time and phone calls, they just didnt think to check their messages. Prescrip confirmed, then the long wait again. Guess if they cared about local business, their error, fill it first. Business must be too good to care about out of pocket payers. read more

I've lived in Nevada City for over 30 years and have been a customer at every small pharmacy in town. Never have my wife and I had the same outstanding service anywhere else. The pharmacists are great, especially Ernie, and the folks behind the counter are knowledgeable and more than pleasant, especially Kelly. We purchase something there every week and it never deviates from perfect. read more

It is so great to deal with pleasant pharmacy clerks who are so much nicer than the typical bored, stressed ones at the large chain pharmacies. I've never had to wait behind more than two people here (usually only one or none, because they have two and sometimes three cashiers on staff), the parking is easy, and their insurance processing works well. You can even take in your empty bottles (from their pharmacy only, not others) and they get sent out for sterilizing and re-use, so they don't have to go into your recycling. This location is next door to SPD Nevada City, so you can pop in there at the same time for groceries. I love doing business here. read more
