I mean, the fact that I drove twenty minutes and went to an outlet mall solely for food still stuns me. The pastor burrito was enormous. Unfortunately, it was very mushy and 80% filler. The tortilla was nicely toasted but that was the only positive. The chips that came with the burrito were not completely stale but they were more stale than fresh. Come on, now. You cannot serve stale chips. I loved the chipotle salsa. Make sure you get some of that. The kiosk gal was very pleasant. I wish I had a different and better experience but it just wasn't the best.

The prices are fantastic, especially compared to typical CA pricing and the other Mexican restaurants in the area. We ordered the grilled and Baja fish tacos and the specialty lobster tacos. Both the grilled fish and Baja fish tacos had a really generous amount of actual fish, and the lobster tacos were made with real lobster. The tacos all had tasty sauces and crunchy toppings (mainly cabbage), that added a lot of flavor and texture. The basket of chips with salsa were covered in coarse salt - yum. There's a full-service bar inside, plus outdoor seating with both shaded and sunny options. While you order at the counter rather than having traditional table service, the staff still came around to check on everyone and were consistently friendly/welcoming. They also have some great Taco Tuesday specials, which makes the already reasonable prices even better. All around, this is a place we'd definitely recommend and would happily return to. Great food, great value, and a casual, welcoming atmosphere.

In this dreadful economy, I've been mainly eating at places that have deals or else I can't justify coughing up a kidney to eat out. I'm a good cook so I can suffer through this economy but I do like to gather with friends and build community, so this place was great on the piggy bank but also got to connect with friends! They have 2 for $5 tacos so really hard to beat that and also have $5 nachos. They've got a pretty good Taco Tuesday menu so check it out. I had the $5 nachos and to be honest, can't get much for $5 these days so not gonna complain too much. They use like a nacho cheese sauce vs real cheese so reminded me of Taco Hell nachos lol. I am quite picky about my beans and had them put in on the side but I did eat most of it as I liked the black beans here. The rest of nachos were uneventful and I wish portion sizes were bigger. I also just had some water and always nice when seltzer is on the house and plopped in a fresh lemon! The bar space was super nice and can see myself coming back here to hang out at the bar. I also like their outside patio area, super chill. Bathrooms were clean, all the employees nice and helpful. I definitely will come back here again! I wanna support this place that provides deals for us, we gotta pull thru this bad economy together!!

The bar is fully stocked with a variety of alcoholic options. Casero has seating inside and on the patio available, too. We started with the guacamole and chips and salsa. The guac was delicious. Not much heat though if you're a fan of spice. The salsa was mild, too. The chips were definitely the perfect vehicle for the guac and salsa. We both had the Mole de Mama. Yummy chicken thigh and leg smothered in mole with rice, beans, and corn tortillas. The mole is very nice and the chicken was cooked perfectly. The rice was a bit firm but the beans were good. The corn tortillas were delicious. If I visit again, I would like to try their shrimp ceviche. It sounds delicious.

There's just one small problem: apparently you're not allowed to actually get the margaritas. This was our third visit in a row where our drinks showed up well after our food. On the drive over we literally said, "Let's give it one more try. It can't happen again." Oh, it happened again. First the bar was backed up. Then there was a party out back. Everyone was incredibly nice and apologetic, but after three visits, we've run out of excuses to collect. Last time, my wife ordered a second margarita after we finished eating because the first took so long. We sat around for another 20 minutes waiting for it and finally canceled it. The crazy part is--we WANT to spend more money here! In a perfect world we'd each have two drinks. Take our money! But apparently the bar has other plans. Great drinks. Good food. Nice people. Getting an actual drink? That's the adventure.

The last time I came here was on a late Sunday night and I went with their Dos Amores Burrito which was packed with lots of carnitas and asada. I love that it was mostly all meat and full of flavor. No regrets. Besides their tacos and burritos they also have fajita bowls and weekly specials. They even have a full vegetarian menu if you are into that. The place is super casual and located in the corner of the strip mall. They have lots of tables in chairs inside for you to enjoy your food. There is also a salsa bar to grab sauces. Just a warning their green sauce is very spicy which I love. You can see the workers making your food behind the counter. I recommend if you're looking for some affordable quick mexican food in the area.

We also didn't have to wait to be seated, and the restaurant itself is very large with plenty of space. Unfortunately, the food just wasn't it. The rice was hard, and the tortillas in my enchiladas were also hard and seemed like they weren't cooked thoroughly. My husband ordered a burrito and felt the red sauce tasted like canned red sauce and lacked flavor. I will say that my daughter enjoyed her enchiladas, and the freshly made chips and salsa were good. Unfortunately, overall, the food was a disappointment for us, especially considering the price. Great service and a nice, spacious restaurant, but the food needs some improvement.
