    Tropical Mule

I unfortunately was not super impressed with Doc Crow's. My order consisted of a tropical mule, a Caesar Salad with Seared Salmon with a side of hushpuppies. The food was okay, nothing really stood out to me. I felt the salmon fillet was small for it being $10 extra and the Caesar was okay in taste. The hushpuppies were on the drier side and came with no type of sauce. The mule was good, but nothing out of this world. Service was good, I did go before a concert so it was a bit busy. Other than that, the restaurant is clean and modern inside. Not sure if I would try it again but it is a convenient spot to stop at before any games or shows.

Went to try a new restaurant in Indy's downtown area. That crows is new to Indy, but it's familiar in Kentucky where they are a southern smokehouse and is a spot for those who love whiskey. It located on the ground floor of the Hiyatt downtown. We had a girls night at the crows and it was perfect from the food to the drinks too Service. It was so pleasing that one of my girlfriends took her parents for their wedding anniversary that same week. I can't wait to go back!!

I checked this place out for lunch before their grand opening. I'm a bit of a brisket snob (it's hard to find good brisket in Indiana) having lived in Texas for many years, but this chain restaurant from Louisville does a nice job with theirs. Let's see if they can keep it up when business is rolling and they get busy.

Don't let these pictures fool you. It looks good, but the experience was terrible. The pulled pork sandwich I ordered was cold. When I mentioned it, they remade it, but it came back lukewarm, dry, and burnt. How's that even possible? It took way too long for our food to arrive at the table. The waitress was friendly, but she was new and should have had someone with her, because she kept forgetting our orders, forgetting to bring refills, and giving separate credit cards and charging the wrong cards with the wrong orders. Believe the reviews; this place isn't worth your time or money.

This is by far the best food I've had in Indy. Service had everything down. Everyone - why aren't you going?

I choose $21.97 meatloaf which ended up being a pan size and to-go leftovers. With my meal cost, came an unlimited drink so I ordered a Pepsi but wish they have a zero sugar drink or reduce the cost for water in the soul food restaurant. Meatloaf was fine but needs a little more flavor like onion or bread crumbs. The candied sweet potato was the best on the table. I was not expecting an additional person for this gathering and wondered if that would reduce the portions of sides to takeout. Do you know?

There were maybe six tables full of folks. The service was awesome. Our server greeted us upon arrival. She was very attentive but not overly. Our food arrived very quickly. My chicken, greens and macaroni were very good. The plates were a little too small for the portions. The onions and cornbread were a nice added touch. My husband had a veggie plate. He liked everything except the cabbage. He said it was not seasoned very well. The restaurant was clean and nicely decorated. A couple of negatives - cash only and no handicapped parking or ramps in the parking lot.

I got my order to go but the gentleman who took my order was kind enough to offer me a cup for some water. The spot was happening. Music, good vibes, the decor was fun. I couldn't decide which meal I was trying so I'm definitely going to make another trip sometime soon. I got the tenders with mac but added a side of greens. Boy oh boy the greens were the star and wow my tastebuds were incredibly satisfied. I've had greens but these were like some ultimate flavors and holy greens i definitely could just order some of these every now and again by themselves. Mac was great. Definitely complimented the greens. The tenders though omg. The flavor was insane. I gotta try them with the waffles next time for sure. Overall the wait wasn't long and my food was still hot. I ended up sharing with my son and he was even raving about it. Great service, fun and lit atmosphere, last but not least food was fire. Side note: people complain about price but I'll be honest, when the food is good and staff are amazing, the price to me doesn't matter. You get what you pay for and let's be real, this isn't chic fil a, this is hot boys and the chicken is definitely that.

It honestly hurt to see all that chicken go directly into the garbage, but they claim it was inedible. Since it's not a saucy type of flavoring, but a dry rub, they said that the heat was painful, and not flavorful. Back to the sandwich I enjoyed... I felt that there was a sweetness to the flavor that I liked, which I could see not everyone enjoying. There is also a hot dusting over the french fries which exacerbates any discomfort people are having from the heat. There really wasn't anything to cool it down. The macaroni and cheese was piping hot, although not spicy.

They have an interesting cocktail menu and were willing to modify one drink for a friend who avoids dairy. We decided to share a bunch of plates. The honey butter and syrup just went so well with the items. The next favorite was the pancake tacos. They were basically a breakfast plate in taco form. It's a bit messy but they were tasty. The biscuits and gravy weren't bad, but weren't anything show stopping. We also really enjoyed the loaded tots. They weren't anything like I was expecting.
