Had a tour booked for a Saturday at 10am and was really looking forward to it. We came a few min early but the office said it was closed and that they aren't even open on Saturdays. I've been getting nonstop automated messages from them but when I tried to call the posted number, I got stuck in a loop with the automation system that led nowhere. Their office hours on Yelp don't even match their hours posted on the door (Yelp says they're open Saturdays). We waited til exactly 10am in hopes that someone would show up, but no such luck. I'm so incredibly discouraged and frustrated because this was one property I was looking forward to the most to look at. But if this is how they handle prospects, I'm not encouraged to believe they'd be great to deal with as a resident. Very disappointing. read more

I've lived at Dobson Towne Centre for several months and everyone here has been wonderful to work with. This review is specifically for Jeremiah who works for maintenance at the complex. Jeremiah has helped me repair, replace, several things i've needed fixed or replaced since i moved here. He's always, friendly, professional, respectful, courteous and hardworking. I can tell he's familiar with and qualified to maintain anything that needs attention. He has a wonderful attitude. I see him around the entire complex, he's always busy but he takes time to wave and say hi. I actually am happy to see him, not just when he's coming to help me. Also, when its something that i just don't know how to use or work, he patiently explains to me how to use things in the apartment. Jeremiah goes above and beyond what his job calls for, efficiently but with a great and friendly attitude. He's made it an easier transition for me moving here and I feel settled in and think of this as my home. I know anytime i need help with something in my apartment that i can count on the quick response from Jeremiah. read more

Not very kid friendly, I've live here for 3 maybe 4 years I've never had any issues until I switch units. Our upstairs neighbor bangs on walls when my one year old makes a single peep. We have to try and be very quiet by 9pm or else she'll be banging on whatever wall she sees.. it's so uncomfortable living here we walk on eggshells so we don't end up with a complaint (3 and you're out).. our first night here she came bang on our door at 11pm because she said our tv was loud (we didn't have our tv yet) she proceeded to tell us about the Curfew "10am to 8pm" but by 6am someone is blasting music (I didn't have a problem with it) but good forbids if my toddler wakes up crying at night. My friends or family are not allowed to visit because I don't want her to complain that's it's to loud. So if you're single or an elder then this place is perfect for you.. but BEWARE IF YOU HAVE KIDS read more

Staffs are amazing!!!! Maintenance is fast always willing to go the extra mile to get the problem resolved and you can't forget the wonderful ladies working in the office keeping customer service as a priority and making Dobson Townsend the wonderful place it is! Annette and Valerie are amazing. We love it here! I do DISAGREE with a review below, (complaint reviews can be a one sided story), however, regarding the comment "if you have kids to be aware". I have two. This community is super Kids Friendly, Pet Friendly, Single/Elder Friendly, Family Friendly!!!! Definitely some things that they can work on like better security. Some weird resident live here and walking at night to your car is not pleasant at all. They gave me a noise complaint when I was just moving in, my downstairs neighbor said that we were too loud. When I spoke to the front office they kind of brushed it off and told me not to worry. My downstairs neighbor moved the next week. I again received another complaint when I was out of town for a whole week with no one inside my apartment. This time I was unsure who complained, when I brought it up to the front staff and showed them that I was out of town again it was brushed off. However if I were to receive one more noise complaint they would be able to evict me. That didn't sit well with me at all. I don't like being blamed for something I didn't do. I spent the rest of my time living there having to walk on eggshells. I had no family or friends come over because I was scared that someone would complain about something. But let's talk about the mentally ill people who lived there and were able to yell, scream and knock at all hours of the night and still had a place to stay. I recommend that your security that we pay for does what they are supposed to do. I was extremely happy to move out, as were some of the other residents that I got to know around me. read more

I was supposed to write a great review until they send us a moving out statement that does not make sense. We have been a responsible tenants, always pay on time, low key. Surprisingly before our move out date we paid over $700 plus for a couple of weeks pro rated amount of stay before the move out date. That includes the utilities. So we thought we're all square and even. After paying that amount we get another statement. MOVE OUT STATEMENT which we find ridiculous. They charge us for "carpet cleaning, partial paint job, pet cleaning etc.. IT IS SUCH A BIG BULLSHIT!! Really we lived there for 4 years and you tucked so much charges when we moved out??? Did you ever expect that the place will be immaculate upon moving out??? We never trashed the place but you can not expect that living there for years the unit will be immaculate. You are a big JOKE!!! And please don't apologize for how we feel about your community, IT IS A FACT your management is SCUMMY!! For the new tenants BEWARE!!!!! Before signing up your a lease here! I was supposed to give them a good review after moving out until we found them SCUMMY. We have lived in DTC for several years like any other complex this particular one is not the best. You can find some other decent apartment in Chandler or Gilbert area. The unit is so out dated for the amount of 1bedroom for almost $1,700 you can get that price in a more nicer complex. The cabinets are so outdated, the appliances are always broken. The only updates they made in the unit is just a new carpet when you move in, a paint job and just the vinyl flooring in the living room. Nothing is luxurious in this complex for the price. They only have grassy area, no play ground for the kids. The pools and jacuzzi is always broken which is ridiculous for the amount of every tenants they can't seem to fix the jacuzzi to get heated. The main swimming pool is pretty much useless. It It is such a big LIABILITY because for a year/months they never fix the pool light and we see kids swimming at night in dark. I wouldn't be surprised if there will be some accidents occur and they get a big fat LAWSUIT! There's also a bunch or group of (mentally) behavioral tenants living in the complex which cause some disruptions with regular tenants. One next door to us is always screaming in the middle of the night, if not you can hear turning on the neighbors shower in the middle of the night for at least every 15-30 minutes. The walls are so thin so we can hear the amount of noise from our neighbor. Again there's nothing special in this complex. If you will decided to get the lower unit. Good luck!!! You will easily hear the foot steps of the tenants above you because the wood flooring is so old so you can hear people stumping. Be ready too with scorpions that you can find crawling in your bedroom, bathroom and outside patio. If there's anything that we appreciate are the staff like Robbie who's always prompt with work order. The cleaning lady who maintains the yard area. Also a couple of years ago they made this complex a non smoking facility. BIG JOKE because you can still see tenants smoking tobacco and weed in the complex. But I am not going to question if some tenants were breaking the law for smoking. What do you expect even the manager and some staff are tobacco users and they smoked and hiding in front of the gate under the tree. LAME ASS RULES..... I would strongly advise against renting from this property. My experience here has been nothing short of a nightmare!!! I'm not sure what happened to Denise. But I knew this place was going down hill once she left. For almost two years, everything was fine, until I faced a medical emergency and had to go on short-term disability. It's understandable that rent was delayed as a result, but the property management's response was shockingly unhelpful! I reached out to a local agency for rental assistance, which was willing to provide support with a guarantee of payment. However, the property management outright refused to accept this guarantee, leaving me in a difficult situation. Their lack of compassion and flexibility during a challenging time was truly disappointing. Despite the ill intentions and challenges we faced my family and I have moved on. I wanted to post officially here and give major thanks to Robbie who had received an emergency phone call from dispatch at the ridiculous hour of 4:30/5am. Good gawd. My alarm started going off in my bedroom -- and that chirpy sound is LOUD at 4:30am. The call went to him at 4:45-ish via emergency dispatch. I felt soooooo BAD. Woke him up out of a sound sleep. He came first thing in am with his maintenance partner when they opened and took care of not only my bdrm alarm, but the other two in the unit as well. My AC went out recently and maintenance was here within an hour to check it out. Robbie ended up installing two portable AC units for me and my kiddos to use while the issue was resolved. Thank goodness because it was over 100 outside and quickly jumping above 82 inside. Maintenance was quick, friendly, and reliable. I felt comfortable knowing they were going to get me up and running quickly and sure enough within a few days, we had AC ! I am so very thankful it didn't take long. Thanks again guys!! read more

Great place to live. So quiet and clean. Our neighbors are great and the staff is very helpful. We had a easy move in process after a long journey from out of state and they made it super convenient for us to get our keys and documents upon arriving. We had lots of choices in Chandler as far as apartments but Dobson was always on top of our list. read more

Unfortunately we didn't even get s chance to live or look at the apartments, my sister and my dad went to get some information regarding the rental fees, and to just look, they wanted to know how many occupants before she showed us a model,she asked how many occupants were going to stay we weren't even gonna move till April and we were just there for information, we told her her maybe 5 and she said we needed a 3 bedroom apartment we never said it was a for sure thing and she assumed and turned us away without any info on anything I was very disappointed in this location at least they could have some info ,or showed us the area and give us some information I would've gave this zero but I can't read more

We lived here for 6 years and it was a pleasant experience until the last few months. This has nothing to do with the staff. The staff were and are wonderful people. Leigh Moody has always been helpful with everything we needed. The issue we had was with the new neighbors that moved in before we left to the 2nd floor above us. They are the kind of people that only care about themselves and not others that live there. They threw trash, toys and other things from their balcony every day. Many times the office had to be informed as they did not pick up what was thrown over their balcony. They just left it there for someone else to clean. The man also likes to spit over the balcony also which is really disgusting. His spit would land in our patio at times. They are smokers, which does not bother me, but twice, their bottle (with no lid) where they put their cigarette butts landed in our patio and the cigarette butts were everywhere. This is the main reason we moved. We had a hard time finding enjoyment from living there because of those people. It was stressful to come home from work every day and wonder what trash we would find in our patio. The rent increased and we would have gladly paid it, but we could not stand those neighbors any longer. I really hope the people that move in where we lived, do not experience the same issues we did. Other than those bad neighbors, everyone else in the complex was really nice. I miss others there who are great people. All the people with dogs were mindful of picking up after their animals and friendly. read more

One thing what I like about living here is the response We receive from one of the Maintenance person, Robby. I see him as early as 7AM either patrolling the campus for maintenance or off to his service calls. He's very friendly, customer service and always makes sure when he does service our unit, he's knowledgable, fixes the issues, has great customer service and clean work areas. I took a nice tour of the grounds which by the way are gated (plus). I moved here from another state and had to find a place to live in a hurry. I saw this place on line, fell in love with the floor plan, had my daughter come check it out, which she had done for many others and did not find anything she liked. When she came here I received a two word text that simply said "love it", that was it. The place is just as nice as it shows on line, they do not photoshop the pictures to sell you on the apartments. The maintenance staff is wonderful, I had a few minor issues when I moved in and they came and fixed it immediately. The girl in the office was wonderful, there was a bit of a mix up with my move in date as there was a new girl in the office. The girl that was there fixed everything within minutes to help me get in that day. The only reason I did not give 5 stars is the office office are not very good for those of us that work and need to pick up packages. Most complexes have hours until at least 6 and usually 1 night they stay open until 6:30 or 7:00. Not opening until 8:30 most people have to leave for work earlier than that and do not get home until after 5:30 so you have to wait until Sat to pick-up something that may have been delivered on Monday. I fixed the problem with just having packages sent to my daughters apartments which has hours until 6:00 and she can get home in time to pick them up. read more

Dobson Town Center is by far, the best apartment complex communities in the area. After owning a home in another state for the past 10 years, I was less than enthusiastic about being in an apartment. The staff were very accommodating by giving us a shorter lease to allow just the right amount of time for our house hunt. Even though we won't be here long term, I can say that I will miss it when we move. We live in a gated community so I feel very safe. We are close to everything while not being too close. My son's school is just down the street and it is so quiet here. The neighbors are so friendly that it really reminds me of my old neighborhood. The maintenance staff is one of the most hard working and friendly group of guys. While we have only had one issue, they were over right away and got it fixed so fast. In my opinion, if you live anywhere else, you are wasting your money. read more

They are rude, inconsiderate, will not take care of anything you ask and have paid for. I strongly advise being careful to all who are currently renting. I've spent the past year living at Dobson Towne Center Apartments, and could not be more excited to move out. I'll give the positives first. -There is a well maintained pool and fitness area. -The grounds staff are very friendly and keep the complex on the OUTSIDE looking clean. -Everything in my apartment has worked sufficiently over the past year. Now for the long part. -The community is extremely unsafe. They will never tell you this when you move in, regardless of what you ask. Car break ins happen frequently, and unfortunately my car was one of them. -They promise a "courtesy patrol", which on their car and uniforms says "security" but they refuse to call it that because of liability. They provide a false sense of security to their tenants, rather than actually fixing the issue of robberies, and drug dealings through legal and legitimate means. -They are thoroughly unaware of Arizona Tenant laws, and will take advantage of their tenants at every opportunity. -Don't bother speaking with the property manager about any issues you have, as they only care about your money. The rent is expensive, and they will probably offer something crazy like a month of free rent. Invest your money in a safer, and more professional housing complex rather than renting here. All these negative reviews are true. read more

Worst apartments I've ever lived in. Not only were there maintenance issues the staff to put it simply sucked. The problems started small with scorpions, and termites. But even those were not dealt with with the upmost urgency. Not to mention the leak in the bathroom, that was there before we even moved in and only got worse. And in this matter they simply refused to fix it. It got so bad that the floor boards in my closet browned. The most horrifying matter this presents is that they not only ignored it, they were somehow under the illusion they fixed it. Finally some structural damage happened to my wall and was left to live in that same apt. with only ply boards as a wall for over a month. The staff either just hated us or doesn't give a damn about it's residents enough to take care of not only them but their apt. as well. read more

We have enjoyed our time here. We haven't had any issues and it is a nice area. Maintenance comes quickly and they are very nice. They are older apartments but they are in excellent shape. Quiet at night even with us facing the pool. They are also extremely spacious with huge walk in closets. The size has been very convenient for us! Easy access to everything. My only negative would be how often the office is closed during business hours. The leasing consultant should not be closing for an hour on the 3rd, which is the last day before rent is due. I know she was alone due to someone being sick but in property management "everyone needs a break" is not an acceptable answer. Besides that, when they are available they are very courteous and take care of business. I would recommend this community to anyone looking for a decently priced and care free community in a good Chandler neighborhood. read more

We've been living at Dobson Towne Centre for over 6 yrs. Guess that in itself is a plus. Seeing our appartment is "gently used", there have been some issues with maintenence and repair. The staff is very helpful and usually take care of the situation quickly. I have told other people about the plus side of living here when they are looking for an appartment home. read more

Cindy in the front office is the straw that breaks the camel's back. She gets mad at the residents when they have to come inside to tell her that once AG the gate won't open with the gate code. She is willing to tow a residents vehicle with out of state plates while he is quarantined and can't get an appointment to get his AZ tags. The complex refuses to take packages at the office, so if it doesn't fit in the tiny mailbox whose door is about to fall of the hinges, then you have to go to the post office to pick it up. They have been telling us for over 6 months that they will get parcel lockers and they have not...but they jacked the rent up $150 when we had to sign a new lease right when the COVID hit. The AC blows black dust that cakes the walls and the dryer they provided squealed and they couldn't fix it so we brought in our own. Then they replaced the neighbors broken dryer with the squealing one so we still have to listen to it. They allowed a resident to tether their pit bull "service dog" to their back porch so everyone who walked by got lunged at by an aggressive dog. This place sucks. But honestly, we could tolerate it if it weren't for the Cindy attitude at the front desk. If you do end up living here, send a man if you have to talk to Cindy...she is twice as rude to women. And everything has been discussed with management. But they always say they're "working on it" read more

Cons: 1. Bark scorpions in the apartments. I even kept all doors and windows closed while we lived there and we still got them. They come through the drains and vents. 2. Little ugly roaches come through the kitchen sink and bathrooms. Disgusting. No matter how clean your apartment is you get them. 3. Carpet is older than 5 years old. Person before us had a pet that left pet stains on the carpet (management claims they didn't just because the owners didn't tell management they had a dog). We had a carpet cleaner come two months into living there and he said the carpet was at least five years old and had old pet stains. When we moved out the apartment said they charged us for carpet cleaning which means they still have not put in new carpet after we left. 4. Broken entrance gate for two months. For the high apartment prices, it would be nice to actually live in a gated complex. 5. No matter how much you clean the apartment before you leave they will still charge you a cleaning fee per hour. I've never had an apartment charge me for not cleaning behind the stove and fridge! 6. Main pool is closed half the time for cleaning and the second pool always has debris in it. 7. The security that they claim to have is pretty much non-existent. I saw the old guy come out twice within two months. 8. Good luck finding a parking spot if you get home after 6:30 pm. Pretty much non-existent. 9. They offer complimentary pest control but the guy even says he doesn't spray for scorpions. 10. Our air conditioning broke on the day it was 107 and we had to wait until the next day to get a portable air unit. 11. Rent is overpriced since you don't get upgraded carpet and kitchen cabinets or an updated bathroom. The quality in the model apartment is not what you get in yours. Be aware. 12. People speed through the complex even when there are children playing in the streets. Pros: 1. Nice neighbors. 2. People clean after their dogs. 3. Safe area. 4. Nice maintenance guy. read more

These apartments seem to only be good if you are in a one bedroom apartment. After "upgrading" to a 3 bedroom apartment and being out of town for about 6 weeks we arrived to find an awful smell in the entire apartment we we told it was because they cleaned the carpet and it was closed up ...also found dead bugs thru out the apartment and stains from a leak in the laundry room. Washer still doesn't work. 2 months into lease...Maint doesn't keep scheduled appointments either...Worst apt I've lived in. I hope all of the area isn't as bad as this place!! read more

This place is a complete sewer. Not the model, but that isn't your place. They lease these as "Luxury", but they are not. This is why I am leaving my review. Run down, old and disgusting. Everything in their apartments is so old and beat up, in bad need of updates or demo. They clearly try to squeeze every drop out of them with the caulk they love to cover everything with, which is dark brown from the dirty hands of the fat lazy maintenance slob applying it. I have lived in 6 different apartments in 20 years, this is by far the worst. Walking to the front door, you can tell by all the dents on the door, the 15 coats of paint and crud all over the windows that the place must be beautiful inside, right? They offer 'ceramic tile', but the grout is so stained and disgusting you need to cover it with something. The 'white on white' appliances are all old, dented, broken and destroyed. The HVAC unit sounds like a train is going by every time it came on. Had stains around the base clearly from leaks they are too lazy to fix. The smell is of pure and simple cat pee. Love that on the hotter days. Something impossible to remove. The blinds are all stained and broken. The 'oak cabinets' are all stained, have water damage and are filthy. Both bathrooms have tile in the tubs, but there is a 2 1/2 inch strip of dirty caulk covering years of mold and filth. The faucets are all rusted, clogged, scratched up, chips all over the counter that is clearly the original. I put paper on the toilet to sit down, only to look at the cabinets and see blood. Unreal. The walls have NO insulation, so you will hear every little fart outside, along with the dogs barking no stop, and the disrespectful people that let their animals crap all over without cleaning any of it up. The carpet was replaced, but aside from that, the place was a complete toilet. Thank goodness I only signed a 9 month lease, I couldn't leave soon enough. WEAR SHOES, or SOCKS, the floors are so disgusting you would be crazy not to. This place is a complete toilet. And at over 1,000$ a month!! After they charge extra for Water, Sewer, Trash, Fees and BS. They add another 100$ in fees to you bill, keep that in mind. read more

Ok for apartment living. not the nicest place we've lived but doable - older apartments and things "fixed' as cheaply as possible. Maintenance has been super and Chris is very personable as well. We appreciate that part. otherwise it's an apartment with a lot of kitchen space and workable walk in closets. garages are far from the apartment though which is a bit of a drawback. I'd say it's an ok place to live over all. If i had to complain about anything is that we were told that the pool was heated - but never told that didn't happen until November.
