Okay, tiny little place on a tiny little island in the middle of the street. Maneuvering your car to get into this place's parking lot might be a bit of a confused couple minutes, but it's well worth it. I can tell it's a pretty popular place because yes, the parking lot is small, but it gets packed and in the morning you pretty much have to make your own parking spot. I walked in one morning to get 2 dozen donuts for my office and the place had a line that moved quickly. Everyone in line were people picking up their regular morning coffee and donut. Made me feel at home! There were 3 girls behind the counter and they were all super sweet. They got me in and out as quick as each person that was just ordering one donut. The variety is typical and everything is well made and fresh. I like how they also open ridiculously early just in case I need to get some donuts for an early work day, or maybe a late night craving. read more

This is a small store that is big on everything you expect for a perfect experience. Waiting in line, the first thing I noticed was the amazing variety. With a steady line of customers, I thought I'd be pushed along when my turn came. Boy was I wrong! All my many questions were answered with a sincere smile from an owner who I knew took great pride in their family business. And best of all my order was ready on time and packaged just as promised. They definitely go beyond 5 stars when it comes to customer service. My mini jelly donuts were a huge hit at our family Chanukkah party. But it just really comes down to taste and these little filled gems were fantastic. Everyone raved about the taste and heavenly texture I couldn't wait to tell them about my great find...DK Donuts. In fact, my daughter has been there twice since then!! I like to eat...a lot...as a teacher, I've had lots of donuts brought in to the teachers lounge by various staff members for various reasons & have never had any that are better than DK's...the staff is always nice....they even have a drive through...they are always busy...I've only been there once where I was the only one in line...but there were people in the drive through & people sitting & eating...I usually get a couple bags of donut holes & at a dozen donuts...it's a little less than $20...well worth it...people rave about that chain CC...DK's beats it hands down...they are 1000% better than CC.... read more

I've been coming here as long as I can remember and the quality of the donuts hasn't changed. My parents started taking me here when I was a little kid, now I'm coming here on a regular basis. I love going there early in the morning when the donuts come out hot and fresh. They open super early and I can only feel bad for the schedule these people have to do on a daily basis but they always have a loyal following. These donuts are soft and airy, even when they're not right off the line! Wide variety of donuts, croissants, and cronuts. The Boston Cream is generously filled with lovely vanilla custard and topped with just the right amount of chocolate glaze. The Maple Bar is good, too, but the glaze is rather sweet. They do a good job managing the frosting to dough ratio, though, so it doesn't get overwhelming. There is a drive-thru and a nice little outdoor seating area, as well. Amicable service! read more

Best donuts in Tustin. No, wait, best donuts in Orange County! A friend introduced me to this place last year, and I have been here numerous times to pick up donuts for parties and gatherings. I love their cake donuts. It's simple, just a plain cake donut, but you'd be surprised how many places mess it up. At DK's, the cake donuts are moist, fluffy, and just the perfect amount of sweetness. I also love their blueberry cake donuts. It's like eating a blueberry muffin but yummier! My hubby likes the glazed donuts, it's hot in the morning, and he swears that it's better than Krispy Kremes. I am not a fan of donuts, I could live without them, I never crave them. This donut was full of blueberries and moist. Daughter got front holes of sugar and glaze. Heaven and she loved them. I'm truly not an early riser and about the only thing that can get me up early on a Saturday, is fresh, hot donuts at DK's. Their donuts are freshly baked and if you go early enough, still warm and gooey. Things you should definitely try: maple bar, cinnamon rolls, tiger claws, and the chocolate custard filled. I've been in a few times when they've ran out of chocolate custard filled, but they quickly offered to fill another chocolate bar with custard, even better! I also just discovered you can phone in orders! Instead of waiting the extra 10 minutes for a ham&egg croissant to be made, I phoned it in and it was there waiting for me! I can't get enough of this place! My husband and I just moved to the neighborhood, and wanted to try this place out. I came on Sunday, Tuesday, and I'm placing a special order of cronuts for Saturday. I already told Mao, the baker and owner, that he'll get sick of me soon! The cronuts are amazing, and he'll make them any way you want them - custard filled, chocolate frosting, strawberry frosting, or just plain, which is still delicious. We also loved the blueberry donuts made with fresh blueberries (and makes you feel like you're being "healthy"). ;) The custard filling can't be beat, and the chocolate he uses is rich and decadent, and just incredibly deliciously chocolate-y - you can tell he doesn't skimp on the quality of ingredients! We are looking forward to being life-long customers! We've already told family, friends, and coworkers about this place, not that they need more business because they are ALWAYS packed! read more

This place it pretty damn good. Been here multiple times already since moving to Tustin as it's 2 min from my house and easily within walking distance (I deserve a donut for walking a mile, right?) It's usually jammed on the weekends. The donuts have been relatively warm every time I have been here. Donut holes are perfect toddler fist size food. I really like the cinnamon rolls and cinnamon twist things. No idea what the textbook donut name is for them. Overall, they have a good variety and everything seems pretty fresh. My wife and I went the other day on a weekday and it was really slow and limited selection (totally understandable, just a heads up...as it was also way past prime time...around 10am and on a week day). Overall, this will definitely be a go-to place for a quick bite in the morning. read more
