The best nail salon ever, I only get my toes done here but that's been since 2020. They do so great and I will never go to another salon bc they know exactly what I want and like. 10/10 recommend. Also they offer drinks like wine etc. good vibes.

Maybe I don't have good nail shops under my belt, but I was in town for the 1st time and had some time to kill before my hotel room was ready. I decided to try out DKM based on their reviews & them being open early, and I'm glad I made it over. I haven't had service like this in a while, if ever. They are patient and the manicurist, Vi was so considerate of keeping the chair on for me, bringing another towel so the dust wouldn't get all over my clothes, asked me did I want a water when I first sat down-- great service that's hard to find these days in my hometown. Laura, who did my pedicure was great too, one of the best pedi's I've had in a while. Both of them massaged me way longer than I thought they would--Vi went all the way up to my shoulders and I couldn't believe Laura wasn't tired. Awesome. I came on a Friday morning and it was fairly empty so that could be contributing to them not having to rush and having more energy, just a thought. Either way I'm super satisfied. I wasn't even finished with my service before I started writing this review, but I wanted to make sure I gave them the thumbs up they deserved. For reference I got a simple gel manicure and pedicure with lavender(scrub) & mint(clay?) extras. The polish on my hands is a little thick, but I mentioned how my nails break easily, so I'm interested to see if the thicker coat helps any. Again thank you to Laura & Vi and thank you DKM!!!! Edit: polish chipped from my thumb nail after a few days, just a heads up. I've had worse, but just wanted to be transparent, thanks!

I called at 1pm on a Saturday to make an appointment in the next hour around 2pm and the lady on the phone said that's fine. I walked in a little after 2pm and the lady immediately directed me to the pedicure chair. Jenny did my pedicure and she gave me the menu and I requested the deluxe pedicure. I also showed her a photo of the French pedicure I wanted and she did a great job. The pedicure was relaxing and refreshing. She did a thorough job with my pedicure and they feel amazing. Kim did my overlay manicure. She did a fairly ok job. She got started on my nails as Jenny was working on the pedicure. For my first time here, it was a good job. Total price was $117 not including tip. I've been to another salon that was a bit more expensive that didn't do as well. Price seems average for a deluxe pedi and mani.

I really enjoyed the service here. I got a gentleman, (which I feel horrible I don't remember his name, David I think) to do my mani-pedi. They were in pretty bad condition so I was emberrased, add to that i am horribly ticklish (hence the fact i don't do them often). Thankfully, he was super patient about it, helpful and funny. There was someone else next to him, another nail tech, that was also hilarious so it made our experience wonderful. Only down part was that it was 3 of us coming in together, all got sat down but got started on at different times. It almost seemed short staffed but the work they did was great! And people kept coming in so I assume that they always do. I'm not a Houston native, if not I'd go more often with them I was in the city.

Highly recommend! They took me in on a random Sunday walk in. Accommodated and gave my boyfriend and I wonderful deluxe pedicures! Got marble nails design and Cherry did an amazing job catering to what I liked! I told her I wanted some more color on my nails and she redid it (powder) until they looked perfect. So satisfied and what a great hole in the wall nail salon!

I sent payment to this place in error on Friday 5/24/24. My lashe tech notified me today. I requested a refund and it was declined. I want my money back! This place was reputable and our family has went here for years. I'm not happy about this . I want my money back. And I will not be returning. Note I will do small claims for my money to be returned!!!!

Kayla is the best for dip on natural nail :) She's so sweet and most important she provides great service in a short period of time.

Not a bad place. I came with my mum and even with an appointment the wait time was about 25 minutes. It was quite busy at the salon. We did a classic pedicure with white French tips. The lady that did my toes were very sweet and nice. My mum said she liked the lady who also assisted her. They both did a good job. Overall it took about 45 minutes for the actually service to complete. Cost was $30, with tip is $35 per person. Service wasn't above and beyond, no drinks offered, overall aesthetic of the salon was ok. Not a bad place overall.

I arrived Saturday at 9:30am when they opened and I was promptly serviced. I am going all natural so I decided on the mani pedi combo. Tammy was great with buffing out the lines made by previous acrylic nails. My pedicurist was very attentive and polished my nails perfectly. Even tho it was Saturday they did not rush. I will most definitely be back to patronize them. read more

This place was my favorite about 2 years ago, not anymore. There's not enough experienced techs and the time it takes for a service is ridiculous. The owner (Gina) is kind and good at what she does, but she's only one person. Lastly, they don't serve drinks alcoholic or non-alcoholic. Save your time and go somewhere else. read more

I've never been to DKM nails and I wish I lived in the area to continue visiting. I loved my results. Usually I see a couple spots that need more polish or I see random dips in my nails whenever I get a manicure elsewhere and I always have to ask them to fix a certain part of a couple nails, but not this time! Thanks to Tina, my nails came out super smooth and perfect. She took her time and was super gentle. read more

Really enjoy the service of this salon! This is my go to place for Sunday mani-pedi's with my husband. We like this place because its affordable, yet the techs are super skilled and attentive. They have $35 basic mani-pedi's with a reasonable upcharge for shellac. There's no bells and whistles to the basic services, but for such a budget friendly price, you will still be pampered. They also have a very wide selection of colors, all of which are displayed nicely for easy choosing. I especially love this place because EVERY. SINGLE. NAIL. TECH. is good. Other salons have good techs, and techs you want to avoid... but here, doesn't matter who you get, they're all good at what they do. The techs are really skilled and detailed. We're usually very picky because we've been nicked so many times in the past when techs handle our cuticles, but this place has never caused any issues. They're always busy, yet when they work on you, they are sure to take their time and really give individualized attention. I will warn you that this place is very LIBERAL at accepting clients. Which means although you may make an appt, there's a high chance you will still end up soaking or waiting for over 30 mins. This is mainly bc they have a lot of walk-in clientele that they accept. The manager who assigns techs seems to like keeping people in queue so that the techs never have any lag time. But the wait can be annoying to those lacking patience. Luckily, I've come enough times to know when to avoid a wait. Overall, I highly recommend this salon. read more

My NATURAL NAILS are long I went here to get gel on my natural nail the lady there filed them so thin that they broke literally within 12 and 24 hrs I'm so pissed !! Total waste of money but not just that my NATURAL nails were long and healthy she did them so thin they need to hire ppl who need to learn when to stop buffing !!! read more

Love this nail shop! Definitely ducked off. In a small strip on fountain view near prospect park. Came in here back to back. Once for polish change ($10) and came back on Sunday for powder change ($35) w my friend who got her nailed soaked and a new powder set.($55) I went to Gina who' moves QUICKLY! She's the manager in charge of things and is very attentive to everyone who walks in. read more

I've been searching for a new nail salon for a while since my lady moved away...after giving DKM Nails a try, unfortunately, I'm still searching. I went in on a Sunday morning for a Dip manicure and Christina did my nails. She walked up and just started working with no greeting, hello, nothing. She did an okay job on my nails but the coffin shape isn't really coffin and when I asked her to make them more narrow at the top, her response was just plain rude and it seemed like she just hated her job. I don't write reviews often, usually I just decide not to return but Christina's unpleasant attitude compelled me to make this review. Also, the shop is not very clean, no sanitized tools, she dumped my nail clippings on the floor, masks were optional, and no plastic covers for the pedicure bowls. Overall, I was unimpressed and didn't feel welcome. I will not return. read more

Been here 3 times now! Tina is amazing! My first visit, I got tips, they were gorgeous and perfect! However, a little over a week later the top clear coat started to peel, which was unfortunate. Everything else stayed intact for well over 3 weeks, i just wish the clear coat hadnt peeled, they lost their gloss/shiny look. Second and third time i got shellac manicures and they were great! lasted me a good 2 weeks. My new go-to nail salon. $25 for a shellac manicure.. read more

This salon is very clean, sadly my experience with the nail quality wasn't the best, I got a set of long nails done here recently, and they were done way too thin. They broke within the first few days. They were cute, but done so thin that they snapped off. I payed €60 for mediocre quality, I don't think that I will return here In the future. :( read more

I swear I've been to like 20 different nail salons and haven't really found one that I like. They're always either too busy or just not professional. This place I like they take their time and they actually talk to you not just about family and boyfriends but they hold regular conversations with you. Looooove this place I called in the day before New Years for a fill and they took me Cindy came in and got my Nails looking all the way right! I was going to get a reg fill but the color I wanted was powder so I'd need a full set with take offs and she still took me and did it all within an hour not to mention the price is amazing! read more

My new go to nail spot as it's "walk-in" friendly and 5 minutes away from work. I love a salon where EVERYONE is good. I don't have any preference on who to do my pedicures because all the ladies are great. They always ask if there are certain tools that I may feel uncomfortable to have them use on me. They do you those disposable bags for the pedicure chairs so that's a plus for me. There are limits on who is able to do "powder" or "dip" but have no fear , Gina who I go to is super fast , accurate, and friendly. If you need to be in and out , do make an appointment as you should for most places. The area is located in a sketchy place and surrounded by construction so be aware. read more

The manager is unprofessional she doesn't know how to deal with the customers and kept her promises. This is third and LAST time that I am giving opportunities for this lady. read more

My first time here due to me working around the corner and I must say I had a pleasant experience! I got a full shellac set with coffin shape and only paid $45 including a $5 tip! I want to try a different tech next time but I'll absolutely be back. Decent work for the cost for sure. read more

I got acrylic nails here and loved them. Had them for over a week now and they still look nice. Photos were taken 9 days after I had my nails done. Highly recommend. When I've gone with my sister in the past, they always let me sit in a massage chair even if I'm not getting my nails done while I wait for my sister. They are so nice!! read more

This is a very disappointing review, I have been coming to this nail salon for close to 2 years. Rachel would always receive me and she was delightful. Unfortunately she no longer works there so I went to the recommended nail tech Kayla. I have tried her a few times. She always has an attitude but I bypass it based on the fact her work is nice and clean. This time around I was getting designs I showed her a few and told her to pick whichever ones she was capable of doing. All of the designs were sloppy. I opted out for french where she continued to have an attitude. The nails are bulky because of the way she painted them. I let it go I proceeded to check out and they attempted to charge me for designs that she couldn't do. & then attempted to over charge me for the French which was only on 6 nails. The owner Gina then proceeded to tell me that Kayla doesn't want to do my nails anymore. She also shouted at me how much did I want to pay when all I requested was to pay for what I received which was shellac and French. So much for customer service, I have been loyal to this business and sending referrals and yet they treat you like another number. I will not be returning and I don't recommend any one returning if you like things excellent if you want to settle for subpar this is an option. Again very disappointing considering the time ive been coming here and the money I've spent with this business. They should feel ashamed to treat those that help keep their doors open. read more

Decided to give this place a try after sushi since I was in the area and I was extremely pleased with the service! 1. The prices are great! Great quality and my nail lady Kim was the bomb! 2. They stayed an hour late for me. I have been to other nail salons that will not stay late for a customer and this nail salon did not hesitate! I love this place! Best nail job I have had in months. I have been to Phenix Salon Suites for other services so I knew exactly where to go and park. I arrived about 10 minutes before my appt and checked in on the app, there is a small bench in the hall right next to the entrance of the suite. My esthetician, Ella arrived shortly and was ready for me a few minutes before my appointment. The suite itself is a lot smaller than I thought, there is only room for one client at a time. Ella was very friendly and took the time to assess my needs. It has been YEARS since I've waxed (I said would never again in life and here we are) and I wasn't pleased with it enough to keep it up. Ella definitely worked to make me a believer in getting waxed regularly. She took her time and coached me through and gave updates to let me know her progress. She finished me up with sugaring and I did enjoy (for a lack of a better word) that more than the wax. I would definitely come back to this location in another 9 years when I can stomach this again.

I just went here today to get my nails done with 2 other friends. Also I have previously worked at a nail salon. So I asked for a refill on the nails I already but she ended up cutting them off and said we should might as well take the rest off. Then continued to tell me it would be extra for length and I asked if I could do longest she could do without charging extra length and basically said if I do anything longer than the most basic short French tip would be extra. Also continuously kept talking shit with all the other employees not just about me but everyone thinking I didn't know what they were talking about and saying that they were gonna charge my friend full price even tho she was ONLYYY getting 7nails done and not full only refills and she didn't even fill it to the top she literally only did the base!!!! And continued to say it's fine just charge them they don't know anything. This has been our go to place since last year, the techs are really sweet and they remember you. It is a good thing when you can connect with your clients. The place is always clean, the only thing is there's always a wait since it's a walk in salon. But definitely recommend. Tina is one of the best they have!
