They were very efficient. The salon is clean, well-maintained, and the staff is friendly. Prices are also very reasonable, especially for the River Oaks/Galleria area. My polish change was $10, whereas a lot of other salons in the area charge $15. This might just be my new go-to spot. read more

I came on a Friday afternoon. I was seated immediately so I thought I would be serviced immediately but I had to wait 30-40 minutes without being told about the wait. I was offered a drink and had a mimosa. I got the basic manicure and pedicure and think both nail techs did a great job. My toes were so pristine it looked like I had acrylic though I got regular polish. The reason for subtracting a star is that I got my eyebrows done and she reused the stick in the wax. Well, this is my 2nd time to come here. The 1st time was great! I got a pedicure and my 1st time to try gel Express nails at their rec. The nails were a perfect shape and it was relatively quick. The whole point with the gel Express nails I was told: refills will be much easier and quicker + better for your nails. None of that turned out to be true in my case. They took the nail tips totally off, put new ones on and my real nails were tore up worse than they have ever been with dip. So not easier, time saving or healthier. It took 90 mins to get basically tips and my nails painted, not dip. (I'll never stray from dip nails again ). There was no, no massage, no refreshment offered, no paraffin; nothing except lots of nicking my fingers. . This service was on par with a rural town strip mall $50 salon. Still, I tipped based on my experience 15%; usually I tip well. Well, that was a HUGE mistake bc I was treated very, very poorly from then on. Parking is limited, I would suggest going during non peak hours. Disappointed bc I was so hoping to find a salon close to home. And my nails are tore up -worst condition they've been is many many years. read more

I've been looking at a lot of reviews for nail salons, but couldn't decide where to go. I passed by fizz and it looked like a nice place. Since I was already in the area, I figured I'd start by giving Fizz a try. Because I wasn't sure if they took appointments only, I called in to see if they had room for me. Turns out they did, so I made my way over. I got the spa pedicure and while it was a little pricier than I am used to, I definitely felt that I got what I paid for. The massage on my feet was seriously so good, I could have fallen asleep. The only reason I didn't give this 5 stars was two-fold. Their chairs are nice, but for someone who is tall, I found them incredibly uncomfortable. I was unable to move my legs back far enough to sit in a relaxed position. Also, it isn't typical for me to be charged $5 to soak my gel polish off when I am replacing my current gel with new gel polish. It seems to be a thing in this area in particular. I don't recommend coming here it's been such a inconvenience for me. The nail tech that has done my nails the last 2 times removed all of my acrylic when taking off my gel posh for a manicure I had just paid for the previous visit and has no self accountability when she ruins your nails. It's easy to fix a mistake but I hate that I waisted my money and time here especially with a nail artist that does not listen to what I'm asking or paying for and does what she wants instead. I get the same color and nails for years and have never had this problem. Now I have to drive across town to gloss nail bar to try to correct my nails. I've came here along with friends and family and really tried to give this place a shot but I'm so tired of being disappointed. I came to get the gel x nails for a trip i am going on... The way these nails came out..... it was terrible! I like short nails and usually get them square round. When the lady cut them I asked her to cut them a little shorter but said she will file them for them to be shorter. They were still too long for my liking. And there was no shape to them. Just straight and squared. They were also very bubbly. I'm not sure if gel x the nail is not suppose to be filed down or grinded down but she just applied, cut, semi-filed and then applied the polish. I was just not pleased at all. I left for 30 mins and came back and asked if she could please make them shorter which she tried to do but really just rounded them. As you can see in the pictures I provided. They look like I bought the nails from the store and just put them on. Don't look natural at all! I ended up going to the place I normally go to and should have gone but I just had to try gel x. Luckily, she came through and fixed my nails! I will never betray her again! There is no way to contact the owner of Fizz Nails to request a refund because that's what I want at this point. Typically I enjoy coming here but today I was upset with the service. I got a Gel-X manicure and Pedicure. My pedicure was decent. The nail tech took 2 hours to do my gel-X manicure and it was done so sloppy. She kept drilling over my nail to the point it started burning and hurting. The polish was painted over my nail bed and one of the tips is coming up already...It's only been 2 hours. She cut my finger with a drill so now I'm leaving with a cut in my nail bed which will likely cause hangnails. And she left nail polish all over my hands. I'm very disappointed by the negligence of care with a service so expensive. It looks like a child did this. I work with my hands and I can't show up with my nails this way. read more

I typically go to the Washington or Shepherd location. This was my first time visiting this location and the experience is drastically different. The facility is not well maintained and felt very dirty in the pedicure area. Additionally, I had gotten the Volcano pedicure and it was done within 30 mins. Typically its about 45mins to an hour. It felt very rushed but me and my friend were the only people there. It just wasnt the experience you get at the other locations and not worth what I paid. I went in for a gel manicure on 5/10/21. By 5/15 I had visible polish chips on my left middle finger and my right ring finger. Now, I have a whole chunk missing from my middle right finger. I'm very disappointed in how these gel nails turned out. This is not what I expected and I am very disappointed that I paid so much for this result. The staff was nice and friendly. Wanted to treat my daughter and her friends to a special nail day to celebrate her birthday. A week in advance, I made 5 appointments, letting them know exactly what service I needed (dip vs acrylic refill, and pedicure). I called to confirm two days in advance. When we arrived, there were not enough technicians to accommodate us. When I expressed my disappointment, the receptionist couldn't have cared less. She suggested a different service. I usually don't write reviews for nail salons but I HAVE to recognize this place. It's been 3 1/2 weeks and the nails ARE NOT GOING ANYWHERE. Usually at week 2 my nails start lifting and looking rough but these nails are in it for the long haul. The nail technician noticed that my nails were brittle from constantly getting new sets and she informed me that I should consider getting clear nailed so that I can get refills to stop damaging my nails which I thought was very sweet because I've been getting my nails done for so long and I've never had someone try to educate me. It served the purpose but it's kinda deceiving because it's nicer in the front area but the back pedicure area is pretty unkept and lacks maintenance. Floors are ripped, stations are kinda dirty looking but I think it's just paint is missing all over the wood part on the chairs.. the service was good, we were all happy with our nails but the place itself is kinda off putting. I probably won't go back again. When things are so unkept it makes it seem dirty, even if they clean it. My sister and needed to get our nails done and decided to just come back to fizz. Overall service was fantastic and we had an excellent time just laughing, but my nails always come out less than stellar. I got chrome done for the first time and it was just coated on too thick. There were lumps in various parts of my nail and it wasn't leveled. At first glance, everything appeared okay, but upon farther inspection, I noticed that not all the chrome glitter was stuck to the nail and some pink was seeping through especially on the ends. It was a huge disappointment. Service was great though, which really saddens me, but I don't think I'll be coming back here after the failed attempt at the nail art and now the chrome. If I do come back, it'll be for the pedicures, but we'll see. read more

The ladies here are friendly, professional, accommodating and trendy (I said this because I've noticed any time in which my nails techs have similar taste in clothing styles like me, chances are they tend to understand and deliver exactly what I want my nails to look like). They have an extensive collection of gel colors to choose from, affordable pricings, clean and modern interior, a TV showing my favorite channel (Food Network), and an awesome playlist in the background (with a mix from Madeon to Sam Smith). All in all, Fizz Nail Lounge looks and sounds like my kind of place when I want to pamper myself or to have a girl-day-out with my friends. The only thing left would be the wait until 2 weeks from now to see how my gel polish is doing. Several times... tear drops inside... even after she paints on, it was pretty uncomfortable for me. Because she was using the instrument with the scoop to take off excess polish from over polishing onto the skin. I definitely could not relax. Every client in there had a very talkative nail tech, and everyone I came in contact with was a little non courteous... I asked the lady in the front at check out a non related nail question just to connect, she immediately ignored me and asked for payment...
