We hired Johnny to DJ our wedding in Shiner, TX on Oct. 13th 2012. He was AMAZING. The crowd was a very hard crowd (as you can imagine for a small town in Texas). However he did an outstanding job of making everyone happy. My fiance and I could not have been more happy and excited about the work he did for our wedding reception. Prior to our big day, Johnny was extremely professional and was always available for questions we had regarding our music. We hired him about 8 months prior to the big day and never felt nervous about his legitimacy (some DJ's out there are pretty sketchy). He even worked with my fiance in getting a song I wanted from a DVD that was not available on an MP3. 3 days prior he was also double checking our song list and making sure it was exactly what we wanted. (I had so many other things going on that I SO appreciated his desire to make us happy by reviewing our song list as I would have forgot to make sure it was correct). On the day of our wedding he NEVER missed a beat. Per our instructions, he was told to chime in at an exact moment. (To be honest my fiance and I were a bit nervous about this). We had a polka band for our cocktail hour which ended with the entire wedding doing the Grand March...Johnny was directed to start our first dance song the SECOND the polka band stopped and he was EXACT. It was so perfect! He also did a great job directing the evening (father-daughter / mother-son / cake cutting / dinner / bouquet toss / garter / etc. etc. ) so all of our guests knew what activity was happening next. It should also be noted our reception hall was HUGE and his sound was perfect. He did an outstanding job playing all of our songs we requested (which included Led Zep, Grateful Dead, Eddie Vedder) but also kept the crowd happy with great country songs, and awesome dance songs. He didn't play a bad song all night! By the end of the night everyone was dancing like crazy. We had an amazing time because Johnny was so awesome! If you want a great DJ. Hire him. We are thinking of having another party just to hire him (honest). He seriously is the best. read more

What can I say about Johnny?! Wow! He was so amazing and thorough from start to finish. Johnny's oh so cool - but so down to earth - personally really struck us when interviewing DJs for our wedding this previous December. My husband is really into music, and our number one priority, aside from getting hitched was to make sure every guest got out on the dance floor - and had a blast. We had a lot of demands like including a huge mix of music - from country to euro pop to Jewish traditional to Israeli (Hebrew) rock/dance hits. We also enlisted his help to remix our first dance and entrance songs- both non traditional. Johnny was able to take in all of our wants and needs and then also suggest best ideas and how to make everything flow! As per request, He chatted with my now husband and we even met up in person for coffee so we could get a feel for his attitude- and he could read ours. Pretty in depth customer service! We even shared music via google drive and he tended to our every request with the utmost professionalism. In the end, he delivered our dream wedding party, he was able to read our kooky crowd of characters, mixing my Swedish/New York/Jewish/Texas family with my husbands israeli/New York/Eastern European roots could not have been more seamless! I had had my ideas about certain family members staying at the tables and chatting, but in the end there was music for everyone, and the energy was phenomenal. So many people called, wrote, and texted afterwards praising the music, energy, and fun -all propagated by Johnny. I can't say enough about our experiences with him. I hired Johnny to DJ a party barge on Lake Travis I was throwing for my birthday last summer. He came highly recommended from a friend and I couldn't have been more impressed. Johnny has an amazing ability to read a crowd and play exactly the right songs to keep the party going. We had the ENTIRE boat dancing their asses off by the end of the barge. It got absolutely crazy! When I lived in Houston, I was friends with several club owners and local DJs. During that time I developed somewhat of an ear for good vs. bad DJing. A lot of the DJs in Austin are not very talented to be honest. Luckily, Johnny is not one of them! A few things I grew to hate are mic hogs and sloppy song transitions. Johnny would jump on the mic when appropriate but really let his DJ ability speak for itself (how it should be). Johnny also blended the songs seamlessly and there was NEVER that awkward few seconds between songs when the beats don't quite match and everyone has to stop dancing (i.e. a "train wreck"). He kept the dance floor bumping from beginning to end and is definitely a very talented DJ! Overall, Johnny was extremely professional. He showed up on time, brought all his own equipment, didn't fuss or complain and got the party started ASAP. He was exceedingly easy to work with and I didn't have a single problem or complaint. We had Johnny DJ our wedding April 2017 and he exceeded our expectations. Here are a few highlights: Before the wedding he was very responsive and provided an easy way to explain what we wanted for our big day. He worked closely with our organizer to get the music just right at all of the big moments. He was able to adjust quickly and effectively when we changed the schedule on him during the reception. He played the exact type of music we loved in a way that flowed perfectly with what we wanted. During the dancing portion of the reception he knew how to read the crowd and everyone had a wonderful time. When it came time to pay, he made it simple enough that anyone with a paypal account and a smartphone can take care of it without any hassle. We hired Johnny Bravvo to DJ at our wedding reception. I had heard him at a couple of other places and when we started planning our wedding I told my husband he was the only one I wanted to DJ for us. I really didn't give him too much direction on the music other than at dinner, becuase there were some specific songs I wanted to hear during dinner. For the after dinner dancing I just told him to do his thing. Everyone was on the dance floor immediately. He even set the mood by asking the staff turn off the lights, which I think got everyone more in the mood to dance. I think there was only 1 song the whole night that I would have left out. Everyone said what an amazing time they had at the reception, and I know that had a lot to do with the music. I had Johnny Bravvo spin a party I was throwing recently... I had seen Bravvo a couple of times at the Kabaret and also at Red Fez, as well as Abel's on the Lake when hula hut was burning! hahah!!! Funnily, when I was thinking of who to hire, I ran across him again at Neimans in the Domain. This guy is EVERYWHERE! I was hoping that he could set the tone for my party the same way that I had seen him downtown in the clubs... My party was completely off the HOOOOOK! I basically just gave him a few songs I wanted to hear and then he based his whole set off it... Easiest and best party I have ever thrown. Johnny adds an element that most can't. I recommend highly.
