Toast Entertainment have a great system set up. They ask all the right questions in a very reasonable timeline, and answer any questions you might have promptly. Our DJ was Reno, and he was awesome. He had a great attitude, very professional and friendly, and he did exactly as we requested while also managing some impromptu moments very well. For instance, when one of our activities ran over the alotted time (a game that was only supposed to take one song but people are slow), he looped the song without a hitch and no one noticed, so we completed the game and everybody had a great time. He followed all our instructions but knew what to do to keep the crowd hype and make the evening fun (including playing a song request one of my friends requested as a prank... It was a very funny moment so I'm glad he went along with it!) He worked hard to get everyone's names right, which we very much appreciated. He was on time and knew how to coordinate with the videographer to make special moments, like our Big Exit. Toast obviously has a great process set up, and our DJ was clearly experienced. We hired Toast for DJ services for our wedding because they were on our venue's recommended vendor list. From start to finish, I was really happy with the service that we received! As soon as we chose Toast we got access to a portal to begin putting together songs and a timeline for our DJ. It was great to work on it on our own time, and there were options to add requests for songs that weren't in their database. A few weeks before our wedding, we were assigned Robbie as our DJ. The good thing about Toast is that there was someone else to fill in with the absence. Although most things went well, I do think that I should have spoken to our new DJ directly vs. having the information passed on from the other DJ. Dance floor was fun but there was some questionable mixing transitions and interest slow to fast song and vice versa selections. - Photobooth: Toast Entertainment: We got the photobooth add on to our DJ and it was such a great idea! Photo booths aren't as trendy anymore but as someone who loves photos, it was a great activity for guests to participate in. I also loved that it came with a guestbook that guests were able to sign. I have nothing but the best compliments for our DJ, VanRod. Our officiant was mic'd up in plenty of time and as far as I know there were no issues with any of the ceremony music or sound. Everything was as expected during the cocktail hour and the music, toasts and first dance during dinner went smoothly. Where Vanrod really shines is during the reception. We had a few things planned, such as some must play songs and the anniversary dance. I had requested that he put a bit of a different spin on the anniversary dance. We started from the most recent couple (Bride and Groom) and went up from there to the longest married couple, and he was very gracious in running it in a way that's different from the way he's done it in the past. It was extra beneficial to get everyone on the dance floor! He also was very perceptive when my husband decided to make an impromptu additional announcement to thank my mom and to acknowledge my dad who had passed away 5 years ago. I had a song on the must play list that I mentioned in the planning docs and during our initial meeting, was a wedding tradition on my dad's side. We had not discussed when that song should play at all, but the decision to play it immediately after Kevin's announcement to acknowledge my dad was more perfect than I could ever imagine. That was a very magical and cathartic moment for my dad's siblings, and I will be forever grateful to Vanrod for making that decision, whether he knew the weight of it or not. The other very perceptive thing Vanrod did was adjust the timing of our little chunk of "emo" music. We originally planned on playing those few songs at the end, but he moved it up a little bit and it was a huge hit. He was excellent at reading the room and played more of the music that people seemed to respond well to. Vanrod did such an amazing job that I literally did not leave the dance floor all night. 5 stars goes out to DJ Robbie from Toast Entertianment! We sent him a playlist of songs that we wanted him to play and he executed according to on our plan. He also made excellent accommodations for us including playing a recorded prayer, editing a lyric on a mother/groom dance song, and last minute song requests on the dance floor. Lastly, DJ Robbie made a special 3 minute video of key moments from the dance floor. This video was a pleasant surprise for us and our guests. We will cherish it along with the memories forever. We planned our wedding from Boston, MA but both Robbie and Toast Concierge ATX made communication entirely seamless through the virtual planning process. The team at Toast was proactive in clearly communicating to us when things need to be completed. We were very informed and can't thank Toast and DJ Robbie enough for making the entire process seamless. Robbie was super cool and friendly to everyone he met at the wedding. Robbie absolutely blew the roof off of the South Congress Hotel event space in Austin, TX and kept the dance floor energized! Just as we had requested. As a bride with a budget, I mainly chose them from the various positive reviews many others had left and honestly really appreciated the PDF upload on their website of everything they offer! Bartenders, lighting, DJ, photography, margarita machines, you name it they got it! I chose their most basic bronze packaging of getting a DJ and photographer for 4 hours, uplighting and a lapel mic for our officiant, bartender for 4 hours and then also a photobooth as fun guest activity and party favor for memories for guests attending! I initially sent out an email to Walter, the owner, and he was really on top of his game. He called me on his day out of the office and any issues or questions I had for him, he would reply promptly with! I had a specific logo I wanted to use for our weddings photobooth design print out and they made it happen. I had gamer Legend of Zelda music we wanted to play for our ceremony and Nintendo music to play as we walked and our DJ, Vance, totally rocked it! John, our bartender kept the bar and drinks made great, Josh, our photobooth guy kept the props and people flowing as I even saw there was a line for a few people as it was a totally popular attraction! Finally, I have to say it that was awesome working with Heather as our photographer, she was very great at getting family formal shots in and out and speedy through the necessary processes of getting all that done, followed by some portraits of ourselves, we loved it. I asked for some lighting on the stage and Vance and the guys were able to help me achieve that and then even moved them throughout the area to get the mood set for people to dance as the night went on. Jayson and Liz were the absolute best!! I think I actually never left the dance floor unless someone pulled me away for a photo, and had the literal time of my life. Jayson was so on point with the music and was so kind to us, we loved his energy at our wedding! Liz has been amazing from the beginning. We've been In touch for over a year now because of all the postponing and she's been so accommodating the whole time. On the wedding day I don't think I would have been able to get everything done with out her! We hired toast entertainment for our wedding on 4/22/22 and requested for a bilingual DJ. The planning process was simple and they offer different add-ons like lapel mics which we took advantage of. Price was fair- we did have to pay an additional fee to request for a Spanish speaking DJ. We were assigned Alex and he was great! He came early to our venue, which came in CLUTCH because the Mariachis we hired NEVER SHOWED UP (you can read my review for Mariachi Clasico) Alex spoke wonderful English and Spanish. He was down to earth and professional. I wish he played more of our requested songs but none the less I am grateful we had music at all after the mariachi disappointment. I truly could not be more impressed with toast entertainment. Their company as a whole, including the individuals they use as contractors for events are absolutely amazing. Toast themselves went above and beyond with communication! They always responded within 24 hours, often within about an hour, and were so thorough and genuine with any questions, confusion, or concerns I had along the way. My wedding coordinator Alyssa was phenomenal!! She was there for anything I needed leading up to the event. I truly can't express how valuable she was the day of my event, I truly believe I would not have had even close to the same experience as I did without her. She was wonderful at keeping me calm, informed, and excited. She was constantly checking in with me to make sure everything was how I expected it to be. Unfortunately, my catering messed up my menu and fed me food I am highly allergic to. As I was sprinting across my venue to make it to a bathroom, Alyssa raced to catch up with me and was there to hold my hair as I vomited. She was incredibly helpful to my family when it came to dealing with that very unfortunate situation as well as everything else that comes with a wedding. I truly can't say enough amazing things about her! Our DJ, Phillip, was also amazing! Before the wedding he was incredibly focused on our vision, preferences, and requests. Morning of my event I even threw several changes at him via email and was very on-top of it! He was very attentive to the moods of the guests and played music accordingly. Thanks to him, everyone had an amazing night out on the dance floor...for 2.5 hours!! My husband and I did a private dance right before our grand exit, and when several guests had consumed enough adult beverages to not fully realize what was going on (and wouldn't exit the ballroom after several announcements over the speakers), Phillip very kindly approached them and walked them out so that my husband and I could have our moment before our exit and our guests that always left didn't had to stand outside for too long. The morning after our wedding I woke up to the most special surprise. We were not able to afford a videographer for the event, but Phillip was able to catch some audio recordings of our night, including the toasts given and the guests reactions. This surprise brought me and my husband to tears as it was something we never expected but will cherish for the rest of our lives. Bob the DJ was exceptional. For being a replacement, he was phenomenal. We loved him and we even had our guests compliment him too. He would postpone an event or song if he knew tanner or I were missing. He knew when to put the dance songs on and spaced out our full evening of events. Daniel the videographer did a great job. I watch the highlight film at least once a day because it is so good. Tanner loved him. He also worked well with our photographers who we got from a different company. I had the most lovely wedding! Vance was spectacular! I had a interesting mix of songs I was asking him to play and he executed it AMAZINGLY. My fiance is a DJ and so are majority of our friends and I just couldn't have been more impressed at how he played my selections. We also had an impromptu Horah dance, Im not sure if Vance had it on hand but he quickly downloaded it and made the night. Anice was our photo booth attendant and was so kind and patient with all the guests. She even took photos on peoples phones for them and made sure everyone was happy with their photos. We hired Toast Entertainment to DJ our NYE wedding on 12/31/2019, and we are extremely happy we did. Our DJ Robert was very friendly, easygoing, and professional, and he was able to adjust when plans unexpectedly changed (for example, one of my bridesmaids cancelled last-minute, so we had to change the wedding party announcement process, and he handled it very smoothly). He also respected our requests -- some of the groomsmen tried to request a very popular song/musician that was on our "do not play" list, and Robert refused despite repeated pressure, which we truly appreciate!
