Sean was truly an incredible and off the charts DJ for our wedding! The first time we talked to him we knew he would be great at our wedding, but he absolutely knocked it out of the park! We had a certain vibe we wanted, and Sean worked with us to not only listen to our vision, but understand and be able to make that into something spectacular. On top of that, when we had questions, or were nervous the music we had picked wasn't the right choice, Sean was able to take over, and guide us in the right direction. I've been to a lot of weddings, and I've never heard a DJ be able to play such a diverse group of genres, and mix them in a way that not only sounded good, but kept the dance floor full the entire time!! Sean also provided all of the lighting for our wedding, which brought our venue to the next level! We got our photo booth through Sean, which only heightened the wedding. A lot of photo booths can look like just a quick set up, but this one looked elegant and a blast, and we were able to use the photo booth as our guest book! We told Sean we wanted the party of the century at our wedding, and he delivered just that. Our guests have only continued to comment on how awesome the music was, and I would highly recommend DJ Sean to anyone, because I know what an amazing job he will do!! read more

I've never hired a DJ before and after choosing Sean the bar is now set impossibly high! We couldn't be more thrilled with how perfectly all of the sound and music at our wedding came together. On our first consultation call Sean was very thoughtful with questions, and we honestly didn't have much for him other than we're this age and from the midwest. He then put together a short but excellent DJ session that had us sold. Between the call and our wedding Sean was incredibly responsive which is a huge plus. He was also very flexible and accommodating on how we relayed song choices to him. The day of the wedding everything flowed so smoothly. He was setup for our outdoor ceremony, queued all the mics perfectly, and rolled all that right into cocktail hour. We moved inside for dinner and his setup and lighting matched the venue and mood perfectly. He worked very closely with our planner and everything went right on scheduled and without a hitch. We had a small party of only ~45 people. Sean kicked things off with some solid choices to get all ages moving. As things progressed he did a great job of reading the crowd, incorporating our requests, and playing the perfect songs. We wanted everyone dancing nearly the whole time and Sean delivered! We hired Sean for our wedding. I knew I wanted a DJ but I wasn't sure how to go about finding one. His experience and high recommendations was what did it for me- Shana my wedding planner from Barr Mansion also recommended him. He met with us twice before the wedding, though he was more than willing to meet with us however many times we wanted. His website setup is great and he made the night a complete success. Every transition was perfect. Not only is he amazing at what he does, but he is incredibly calm, personable, and dedicated. I also managed to throw random things at him that he wasn't expecting. For example, I forgot that having a garder toss was a thing until the day before and forgot to mention to him that I would be doing that. DJ Sean is as good as they get. He's a very experienced DJ in general, from old school raves to formal weddings. Two days before my wedding, our wedding planner, Buon Affare, dropped out. (They were horrendous!) Sean stepped up and offered to help as much as we needed him to, since our new day of coordinator only had two days to get prepared for our wedding. His timing was perfect, the music sounded amazing and he kept my entire wedding dancing from start til finish. It's taken me a few months to write this review, mainly because after our wedding was over, I didn't want to think about ANY MORE WEDDING TASKS! But, it's been on my mind to write this review because I know how much I relied on them when we were planning our wedding last year! We got married in Austin at Barr Mansion on Dec 3, 2011 and much of our wedding was done from outside of Austin; we lived in Dallas for half of last year and then relocated to London in September and flew back for the wedding in December. So, as you can imagine, it was an INSANE year. Working with Sean was amazing. I knew music would be super important for us because we love to dance and we love a party that doesn't stop! We interviewed a few DJ's in Austin before settling on Sean. A few reasons why working with Sean was amazing: 1. He always made everything as easy on us as possible. When you're in the middle of planning a wedding, you KNOW how important that is! Sean went out of his way to meet with us based on our schedule, when we were in town. He was always well prepared and on-time. Sean had great ideas but was never, ever pushy. The week of the wedding, in fact, 3 days before, we still hadn't given him much to work off of! But, he was totally laid back about it and, in a quick 1 hour meeting, helped us to make a lot of key decisions. 2. Sean wants this to be perfect as much as you want it to be perfect! He totally went out of his way for us. One example is that we wanted Indian music played during our reception as well and though Sean didn't have any Indian music, as soon as I sent him songs to download, he was all over it! And, by the way, I was so busy that I only sent the songs a few days before the wedding but no matter, he totally came through! 3. Sean can read a crowd. Though we had a plan worked out, Sean read the crowd and decided whether to play slower music, faster music, hip hop etc and he was SO SPOT ON! The party was amazing, everything flowed perfectly! 4. Sean listens to what you want. I met with some DJ's who seemed really opinionated, to the point that I think they were more interested in playing what they liked than what I liked! Sean was totally not like this. He gave us as much advice and guidance as we wanted, but in the end, it was totally up to us. Overall, I'd say if you're on the fence about a DJ, don't hesitate and go with Sean. I did a lot of research into all of our vendors and it really paid off, so let me make it easier for you and tell you to stop worrying about the DJ and go with Sean! So my review is based on a simple inquiry as to schedule/availability. I read the reviews on ATX DJ and sent him a message based on everyone else being VERY happy with the services provided. I cannot speak to the DJing since I have not ever hired nor heard this company at an event. Sean was quick to respond to my inquiry. Though he is booked, he directed me to a site where I could look for another DJ/DJ company. He was very nice and is also willing to continue to help with any questions I might have, in a general sense. Sean got everyone dancing at my wedding last April. Everyone. Aunts, uncles, grandparents, awkward dates of friends, introverts, wallflowers, everyone. I was impressed with Sean before I even met him. He's got an interface on his website where customers can choose songs that should be played and, most importantly, songs that should *not* be played. So I was able to cut out "The Macarana" and "The Chicken Dance" months before my wedding. It's not a deal-sealer for a good DJ, but it was a solid indicator that this guy knows what he's doing. There was some confusion with our wedding planner so Sean and a couple of our friends who run a wedding venue stepped in to make sure everything went without a hitch. Sean was the DJ for our July 2014 wedding and was flawless! First of all, he was very easy to communicate with, extremely nice. He was always professional, kind, conscientious, and was very well dressed. Damn there isn't 6 stars!!! Best Wedding DJ in Austin hands-down and we interviewed a lot Sean took care us from the first phone call to the final send off. This guy knows his music, is passionate about his music and executed our dream wedding to a T. I'm a little bratty when it come to the music, I wanted a nonstop dance party, with not a butt in the seat, and more tailored to my wife and I's indie style. He gave us indie, top 40, disco, and just jams that kept the party going all night and that complimented our theme and our personalities. We wanted to throw in some songs at the last minute and he was able to mix it in to the next song flawlessly. He is very talented, knows what he's doing, and isn't that over-bearing cheeseball of a DJ that we all hate at weddings. He was able to give us sound in the butterfly garden at the last minute and setup a speaker out there which was like a good 150 yards away. From the little flower girl to my 81 year old grandma everyone was getting down that amazing night and couldn't have done it with any of the other DJs we spoke to. We used DJ Sean for our wedding reception this past fall. We found him to be highly professional, easy to work with, and very good as what he does. From the start of the process he is easy to talk with and we found him to be a genuinely nice guy. We got together several times to get acquainted with each other and to select music for the event, which was something he was very helpful with. The week of the event we corresponded again for final details and he informed us that he was feeling a bit under the weather. As a precaution Sean said that he would therefore bring a DJ from town that he has worked with in the past as a backup, just in case his voice went out. It turned out his voice was fine and the other DJ was not needed but we thought it showed his professionalism to not only bring a backup (at no additional cost of course) but also being honest about the situation and mentioning it beforehand rather than springing this kind of thing on us come wedding day. As for the reception itself we and our guests all had a great time. We were originally concerned about the amount of dancing that our guests would do (or not do). But Sean kept the event moving, lively, and fun for everybody. An Aunt and Uncle that didn't dance at their own son's wedding were dancing much of the evening at our reception and had a wonderful time.
