We met Mr. Thrill through a performance at a local wine outlet and immediately hired him to play at a house party we held later that summer. He's great with the crowd, sensing when a slower vibe is appropriate and cranking up the dance tunes when people are ready to party. Bill was a great addition to our wedding day! We were hestitant go book a DJ due to cost, however Bill was right in our budget! From the first day I inquired about pricing, I was impressed with his service. Prompt email replays and a no nonsense business man. The online planning tools he used made everything run so smoothly on our wedding day! We could not have been happier with Mr Thrill! We found him to DJ our wedding in Kyle after almost deciding to do without a DJ, but I'm so relieved we didn't. SO many DJs out of Austin are outrageously expensive and we just wanted a playlist of feel-good music combining 60's -70's rock, classic country, and some modern folksy songs - we didn't want the whole light show, electronic, hip-hop production that so many others come with. Mr. Thrill was so much more reasonably priced than all the others and worked with the things we needed and didn't need to give us the price. We were very particular about the type of songs we didn't want played and the genres that we did. We used his online form to choose some of the songs we wanted played and to give him a general idea of the vibe/type of music and he executed it perfectly. It was a great combination of using the songs from our list and improvising to fit the mood and theme exactly. He also played all of our scheduled songs for the different wedding events without a problem, was flexible for the things we weren't exactly sure of in terms of timing and was ready for anything we asked of him. So fun!!! Bill was a last minute DJ when our original DJ couldn't make it to the wedding because of a family emergency. Bill called the day before and made sure he understood all the plans and was early to set up on the day of the wedding. Another 5 star review for Mr Thrill! We held our country style wedding on our property for about 60 people. He found a perfect Canon in D version to fit the style and then song choices were left to him, I only gave him guidance on style during the reception, dinner, and party. He nailed it as usual by mixing it up, reading the crowd, performing when appropriate, and working the crowd. Although it was a smaller setup for him, he provided nice LED lighting and strobes that lit up our pavilion dance floor, and the sound was plenty strong for an outdoor venue (all his gear ran on a single household circuit, no special requirements for power).
