Stop what you are doing and book Brian. Seriously. We came across him in our search for a DJ in Austin. Based on his reviews and profile we were really excited to meet with him. That was all it took. We knew he was the one in that first meeting. He took the time to listen to what we wanted from our music and also gave us invaluable feedback and recommendations. We left and immediately signed a contract to secure our date. Leading up to the wedding we filled out his paperwork. It was such a relief. He had thought of everything so I didn't have to stress that I was forgetting something. We also opted to use his uplighting which turned out beautifully. I asked him to meet us at our venue along with the photographer prior to the wedding day. They worked together to make sure everyone was on the same page with the plan for the day. He let us pick some preset colors for the uplighting to match our venue. One thing we also told him was that our photographer trumped everything. It was important to us to have fabulous photos so if one of the colors we chose wasn't working she had complete authority to work with him to change it. It was great for them to meet in advance and already have a plan and working vibe prior to the wedding day. The music at our wedding was PERFECT! We had a medium size wedding with 64 people. I'm not exaggerating when I tell you that almost every single person told us it was the most fun they've ever had. I'd like to say it's because we are fun people, but I 100% contribute this to Brian. He knows how to keep a party going. When we first met he asked if we could trust him to read the room and adjust music based on what keeps people dancing. Of course that was our goal and he flawlessly created the perfect soundtrack to our day. I recommend this to anyone getting married. We as bride and groom can pick out a playlist we want for the night, but it doesn't mean all of our guests are going to love what we choose. It was more important for us to have a celebration with everyone on the dance floor letting loose and having a great time. We told Brian a few songs we didn't want played and types of music we prefer he didn't play and let him handle the rest. My brother got married this past weekend in Austin, and the music was absolutely incredible, so incredible in fact that I'm here creating this yelp page, so I can tell y'all about it. Brian Weber kept the music going all night, and had such a great variety of music that people only left the dance floor when they were too exhausted to stand and needed water. He had early 90s hip hop, newer music, funk--basically anything with a dance beat made it on. One thing I noticed was that if not enough people were jamming to a song, he'd transition to another one. He seemed to know exactly timing-wise when to lead in to the next track. Everyone was on the dance floor, whether 9 months old or pushing 70. Being from Dallas and having a wedding in Dallas, picking a DJ was one of the more challenging aspects for our wedding. What could we really do but trust other people's reviews? Luckily, DJ Brian had AWESOME reviews, and I'm so glad we trusted our gut and went with him! You can tell he's a true expert-- he asks all the right questions so that he can really get a feel for the vibe of the type of music that would be best for you and your guests. He lets you be involved as little or as much as you want. I know he has some customers where he sends out a questionnaire and gets a feel for what they like and a couple must play songs and goes from there. On the other hand with us, we had a LONG, SPECIFIC list of songs we absolutely wanted to have played (from genres all over the board). He was happy to work with us that way and turn our list of random songs into something that flowed well together and matched the mood of the room. While we had listed more songs than was even possible to play during the time period of a reception, he does a great job of mixing songs together and fading them into each other and was able to get all our must play songs in somehow at some point. A couple weeks before our wedding, he called us to make sure he could deliver exactly what we were wanting and expecting for our reception. He asked us if we were comfortable with him taking some liberties with reading the room if needed (for example, if he noticed the crowd particularly enjoyed one of our songs, could he go off the list we gave him and play more like that? Or if the room was a bit dead could he play some kind of line dancing song? etc.). We said of course, knowing he was the expert, and it turned out to be very true. Brian read the room perfectly during our reception and the dance floor stayed lit. Everyone talks about how much fun they had, and there are tons of videos circulating out there of people dancing, which of course, we can thank Brian for. Brian was our favorite vendor. From the beginning, he was very responsive, and would go out of his way to answer our questions. The planning process can be stressful, and some vendors can add to that stress by being unresponsive or dismissing your concerns. Not Brian. He makes you feel like your wedding is just as important to him as it is to you. That's what made him such a joy to work with! We knew he had another weddings and events, but he always made us feel like a priority. Now let's talk about the music - Brian nailed it on the night of our reception! He did a great job of mixing some TOP 40 songs with old-school songs by Michael Jackson, Whitney Houston, etc. All of our friends, young and old (the range was mid 20s to early 40s), were dancing and raving about our DJ. My parents, who were initially concerned that no one would dance, were too busy dancing with ALL of their friends. Even my 82-year-old grandmother was dancing! In fact, my husband and I enjoyed ourselves so much that we had a hard time leaving the dance floor to do anything else. I remember telling my husband that we should take some pictures in the photo booth but then Brian would play another great song and we'd be back on the dance floor once again (without the photo booth pictures). We also had Brian provide lighting for our event. Brian went to our venue THREE times to ensure that we were happy about the uplighting and the GOBO lighting. His first trip was approximately 6-7 months out from our wedding. Again, most vendors would have probably told us to wait a few more months. Not Brian. He went above and beyond to make sure that we liked the look of the dance floor, and that meant a lot to us. When we arrived at the venue, my bridesmaids couldn't wait to show me the dance floor because they thought it looked gorgeous!
