He was not cheesy at all and was great with all the complicated instructions I gave him such as cutting songs short and so for. A-town is the best bang for your buck! Seriously. It was $500 for both ceremony and reception music, plus mics! That is almost unheard of. I would highly recommend A-town DJ for anyone looking of great music and dependendable staff.

He had a wonderful speaking voice, and his announcements and guidance really helped organize the reception. I loved the way he transitioned from oldies to the latest tunes! He had people from age 2 to 85 dancing! I loved the group dances, and all the married couples really loved the Anniversary Dance! Light show was great, too! Highly recommend! He was incredibly easygoing, personable, and flexible throughout the entire planning process, making music one of the easiest parts of wedding planning. He gave us the option to create a detailed playlist or simply describe the vibe we wanted, and he would take care of the rest. During such a busy and sometimes overwhelming season of planning, it was a huge relief knowing that Mark had everything under control. We never once worried about the music because we trusted him completely. What really sets Mark apart is that he offers so much more than DJ services. He beautifully sings and plays the keyboard, and he can also provide an incredible string duo for your ceremony. The live music added such an elegant and emotional touch to our wedding. Our guests couldn't stop talking about how beautiful the strings sounded during the ceremony, how wonderful the live singing was during dinner, and how perfectly the dance floor music kept everyone celebrating all night long. Mark has an amazing ability to read the room and keep the energy exactly where it needs to be. The dance floor stayed packed, and guests of all ages had an incredible time. He was worth every penny, and we truly believe our reception was as successful as it was because of his talent, professionalism, and experience. We would recommend him to anyone looking for an unforgettable wedding musician and DJ.

We were beyond impressed with Mark! Not only is he a fantastic DJ, but he's a skilled pianist,…read moresinger, emcee, and overall entertainer. Our guests loved him and kept bringing up how amazing he was even months after our wedding . He was recommended by a friend who'd attended a wedding where he played and we similarly have shouted his praises! We hired Mark for our wedding reception. We had a fantastic interview with him where he got a feel for what we liked, our story, and our vibe as a couple. We had a long "do not play" list which might have limited a basic wedding DJ, but not Mark. He went off of our favorite songs, artists, and genres and kept our guests on the dance floor. My only "complaint" is that the songs were so good that I kept delaying the cake cutting (not a big deal at all) because I didn't want to leave the dance floor! He is incredibly engaging and professional. His emceeing was spot-on: his timing was perfect, he kept things organized, and he took care to get all the names and pronunciations correct (which seems like a little thing, but I've seen it go wrong so many times and you don't want that!). He brought all his equipment, so we didn't have to worry about anything. The mics and sound were the perfect volume for speeches etc. and there were zero technical issues. Absolutely seamless. Our budget for a DJ was a few hundred less than what we paid for Mark, but the difference in cost was worth it many times over for having a DJ of his caliber plus the added treat of live music. Honestly, what we paid was a bargain and I'm beyond glad and relieved we went with Mark rather than hunting for a cheap DJ/experience (especially after attending so many weddings lately and seeing the wide range in what you can get). Mark sang and played piano during dinner, which was really nice. While people could talk and enjoy their food, some of the singing was so good I had to stop and listen at times! He has runs for days (some swooning during 'Tennessee Whiskey') and Grandma loved that he did some Sinatra. Overall, not only was he a reliable, timely, communicative vendor, but he helped make our wedding the best night of our lives with his musicianship. Things couldn't have gone more smoothly. Not only would I hire him again in a heartbeat, I tried to get him for our company holiday party but he was already booked (not surprising given how great he is!). Highly recommend!!! Thanks, Mark!

He has a gift for feeling out a crowd and keeping them dancing and having fun all night! He did our entire wedding (ceremony, dining, and reception) and everything flowed together perfectly. I was afraid people weren't going to dance, which would have been heartbreaking for me because the dancing is my favorite part of weddings. I DID NOT need to be worried, however! Johnny got people of all ages up and on the dance floor! My stepkids, nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles, friends' parents--EVERYONE was out there at some point! I'm pretty sure I spent the last 2.5 hours sweating--luckily my husband is good at making the rounds and chatting people up, because once the dance music started I was done with formalities! He's great at sensing the vibe of a crowd and playing just the right songs to keep people moving, then seamlessly transitioning from one song to the next to make it feel like it's a never-ending party! Oh, and no chicken dance/macarena/conga if you don't want them! If you've put those songs on your No Play list, he will tell people NO if they request them! So if you want a memorable event with kickass music, hire DJ Johnny Bravvo!!! We're sure glad we did!

His music got the kids up and dancing and moving the entire event! The next day the kids all said how sore they were because it was a non-stop dance! For example, one of our groomsmen is a musician, and she played his song, called him onto the dance floor and brought a lot of energy and fun to the moment.
